Apocalypse is my favorite song from their entire discography so far. The beginning notes of the electric guitar conjures this palpable tension of languorous love with its tone, and the chorus's lyrics paints a vivid image, i.e. your lips + my lips = boom! (apocalypse), particularly with the hushed delivery comprised of Greg's delicate slivers of breath. Great performance, although I do prefer the studio version. Thanks for the upload NPR!

“A million pieces” could have been a good name for this band. At the very least it would allowed me to make their CD a stocking stuffer for my Cousin, his Wife, and their 3 kids...but,...the name “cigs after fuck’n” doesn’t go over to well as to be a stocking stuffer for two 10yr olds and a 7 year old. Sincerely, McDonalds Happpy Meal (for adults only)
Y'all talking about how he looks but y'all are forgetting the fact that WE LOVED HIS VOICE AND THEIR SONGS. that's pure talent to attract people with just music and his voice. We just imagined how they look like while enjoying their music
K. 00:00 I remember when I first noticed that you liked me back We were sitting down in a restaurant waiting for the check We had made love earlier that day with no strings attached But I could tell that something had changed how you looked at me then Kristen, come right back I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed When you light the candle And on the Lower East Side you're dancing with me now And I'm taking pictures of you with flowers on the wall Think I like you best when you're dressed in black from head to toe Think I like you best when you're just with me And no one else Kristen, come right back I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed When you light the candle I'm kissing you lying in my room Holding you until you fall asleep And it's just as good as I knew it would be Stay with me I don't want you to leave Kristen, come right back I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed When you light the candle
So underrated, pure poetry, calming for the soul yet so triggering to your emotions. It always sounds like the best and worst parts of love but still feels like a learning experience you’re greatful for
The most otherworldly band I was introduced to this year, even more magical than Alt-J, more sensitive than Julien Baker, rawer than Car Seat Headrest... They were also the main soundtrack of a trip I shared this year with my girlfriend. Fantastic.

i swear i alway thought it was a lesbian ish lady doing the vocals all this time
even when the intro came on i was like...Okay,wheres ur lead singer?
you lot don't have google in your countries?
@@michaelpodho1912 dude, me too.
Its like my heart just broke into a million pieces, and was molded all back together just to break again kinda feel.
“A million pieces” could have been a good name for this band.
At the very least it would allowed me to make their CD a stocking stuffer
for my Cousin, his Wife, and their 3 kids...but,...the name “cigs after fuck’n” doesn’t go over to well as to be a stocking stuffer for two 10yr olds and a 7 year old.
Sincerely,
McDonalds Happpy Meal (for adults only)
will never regret buying this album on vinyl.
Just 2 musicians...a special voice and sensibility and that's enough to a great sound...a "sonzão".
kkkkkkkkk boa edson
yep sonzao
what a coincidence !! i have seen your comments on Coke studio pakistan also
Cigs = eargasms
ele canta com tanta emoção que até sinto
I remember when their songs only had like 1,000 views on RUclips . They’re fantastic and I’m so glad they blew up
Y'all talking about how he looks but y'all are forgetting the fact that WE LOVED HIS VOICE AND THEIR SONGS. that's pure talent to attract people with just music and his voice. We just imagined how they look like while enjoying their music
0:00 - K
5:45 - Apocalypse
9:36 - nothing's gonna hurt you baby
It seems like his voice doesn't fit his look but damn it's so amazing
This is face of art,liberate
Something strangley hypnotic and amazing to see him actually singing it. I have no idea why that is, but it is. Loving it!
The Synth tone on Nothings gonna hurt you is so sweet

I remember when I first noticed that you liked me back
We were sitting down in a restaurant waiting for the check
We had made love earlier that day with no strings attached
But I could tell that something had changed how you looked at me then
Kristen, come right back
I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed
When you light the candle
And on the Lower East Side you're dancing with me now
And I'm taking pictures of you with flowers on the wall
Think I like you best when you're dressed in black from head to toe
Think I like you best when you're just with me
And no one else
Kristen, come right back
I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed
When you light the candle
I'm kissing you lying in my room
Holding you until you fall asleep
And it's just as good as I knew it would be
Stay with me I don't want you to leave
Kristen, come right back
I've been waiting for you to slip back in bed
When you light the candle
Sitting on the floor in my room currently crying to this.. absolutely beautiful music.
This shit bumps in the whip
What in the world does that mean?
Oh man i gotta start saying this hahaha
Z S why did this make me laugh so hard omg
Honestly true
Z S I played nothing’s gonna hurt you baby in the car and almost crashed from crying and getting all emotional
Greg: *walks into NPR office*

Greg: You know what to do

😂😂😂
They are playing it blind, insane! Heavenly, the sounds, the voice,...
when he spoke I was fully shook
Wow, Greg is an incredible vocalist. Such a beautiful and unique sound. I could listen to him forever!
So underrated, pure poetry, calming for the soul yet so triggering to your emotions. It always sounds like the best and worst parts of love but still feels like a learning experience you’re greatful for
This song goes really well with a glass of unnerving longingness and shower of dark dream skies.
Rest In Peace mum.

I was also confused
omfg yas xD
He gets this A LOT.
How can anything sound so painfully beautiful and soothing ? Wow.
The most otherworldly band I was introduced to this year, even more magical than Alt-J, more sensitive than Julien Baker, rawer than Car Seat Headrest... They were also the main soundtrack of a trip I shared this year with my girlfriend. Fantastic.
The first notes of K bring me to some other place, where there is no time, only peace and calmness and happiness. Thank you 💙
