Sunroof motor probably came unbolted from roof. Happened in my evo and you’d hear it but wouldn’t work correctly. You can drop the headliner in the back and access it without pulling down the entire headliner.
yeap. same thing happened to me, make sure you use locktite so it doesn't happen again. There is some sort of sequence you will need to perform so it will open and close correctly after you put the bolts back in.
Tavarish is being a true car guy, walking straight up to the Evo rather then displaying his cool collection and getting the same kick in from a Mitsubishi and a Mclaren! Real nice and polite too...
JM, don't know if you figured out the sunroof issue. I had the same issue with mines. The motor is at the middle of the rear of the liner. It sounds like you may be off the track. You don't need to pull the liner completely out, just pull down from the back and you will have access to it! Beat of luck!! Also, keep the Evo. You'll regret letting it go!! Everyone does!!! #EvoUp #NeverGiveUpOnTheEvo!!
You don't have to pull the headliner. The screws fall out of the motor so it can't grab the sunroof cables. You just have to pull it down in the back and get a stubby Phillips head. Do yourself a favor, put blue locktite on the screws. Takes minutes to fix and then do the relearn procedure
i think you would appreciate my eg hatch, under 100k miles on the chassie, engine is a semi built d16z6 with a baby 55mm turbo, was auto, its manual now
