- WI v. DAHMER (1992): It's been 30 years since Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested. Dahmer then pleaded guilty but insane to the murders and dismemberments of 15 boys and men. A jury would decide if Dahmer was sane at the time of the crimes. Depending on their verdict, Dahmer was facing life in prison or admittance to a mental institution. Dahmer was killed in 1994, by his fellow prison inmate Christopher Scarver.

Thanks. The quality is great.
Idk care what anyone says. For a person to do what Dahmer did has to be mentally ill. Sad he didn’t have parents and family that recognized his issues from a young age. I’ve seen interviews of his father and he was one step above his son. To bad his parents and family didn’t get their heads out of the sand - he needed help and there wasn’t anyone to make him get it.
Cool video
Where's the cross examination of Tracy Edwards?
Those cops deserve to lose their job because THEY DIDNT EVEN RUN DAHMERS NAME.They gave a unresponsive naked young looking boy with no ID back to him without even running his name or taking him to the hospital. One running of Dahmers name would’ve brought up the fact that he was a CONVICTED sex offender and that would’ve been it. This pisses me off so much. So many people failed the community
Great point, however I thought with his first case the judge decided he didn’t have to file as a sex offender ?
Lol tht was funny imo

That was an awesome opening statement. They don’t make lawyers like they used to.
it was weird. You can tell he has jerked off to gay porn himself-
This prosecutor kept the closing argument respectful, stuck to the facts, connected the dots, and didn't dramatize anything.
Sometimes dramatization in the court with cases like this, can cause more of an impact, I think that because it was obvious that Jeff was getting a guilty, then the prosecutor didn’t need to act the words he was saying, out loud, but I love a dramatic prosecutors statement & especially as someone as heinous as Dahmer, it hits more emotionally.
Watch the Chandler halderson trial opening. That prosecutor was brilliant.
This is certainly a hard working prosecutor. The families were blessed to have him in their corner.
Pity police 🚔 were crap though !? It didn't take perry maso to prosecute this, E 💯 tho he delivered !
True but this case was a slam dunk

Exactly! Also if Tracy Edwards hadn’t have had cuffs on then I bet the police wouldn’t have taken him seriously either! 😱🤬

It wasn’t a traditional case. A guilt or innocence case. Jeffrey never claimed his innocence. He wanted the facts to be known.

The man that did the opening statement for the prosecution was AMAZING ‼️💯❤️🤗
It's called rape, not sex, FFS!
Yeah it's so annoying when they say that in court. I've seen one court case of a paedophile/murderer and they kept saying sex.
Thank you! I said the same thing
@@robinc6288 I'm not sure about the rape/ sex thing but I know you can't say something is murder in court if your actively trying to convict them of murder. I believe that's because murder is a legal term
Rape is a legally defined term. In a courtroom it should not be used unless someone is charged with or has been convicted of rape.
tha fruits have different terminology
This is by far the most disturbing and unusual case: it’s actually very rare prosecute a serial killer since they like to go out with a bang. The whole thing was sad and strange. To the victims families, stay strong.

That is one of the sickest and dumbest things I have ever heard that police officers did not investigate this sicko more after running into a naked incoherent child on the street. Why was it just okay for him to have naked pictures of a 14yr old laying around and the police think that's normal behavior? How?? I really don't get any of this. That's crazy
They were literally homophobic : scared of gays. The recording of his neighbor basically confirmed that.. these cops are cowards
They didnt know his actual age. Dahmer was pretty convincing to them. Yes, they could've done a little better investigative job, but they didnt. It's too late and it's very unfortunate. His spree could've ended that night
The police didn’t want to get involved with “gay men” so when he said that plus you have a black woman, her daughter and niece pushing them they gave up and didn’t want to be involved.

I blame the doctor prescribing him pills after pills. Drs should have looked into his background a little more. Without the pills, he wouldn’t have been capable of all this.
Damn! After hearing about all that : killing, dismembering, body parts, cannibalism, the prosecutor asks " are you ready for lunch?"

I’d have turned vegan at that point!
When mentioning the lack of sexual assault in Miami and Dahmer's stint in the army.. "there was no sexual assault"...

There were two he sexually assaulted in the army there's a interview from them on youtube he raped them both numerous times

I like how the prosecutor stated how he did not want to repeat the name of dahmers sleeping drug and then totally let's it slip out of his mouth when he read a police report
Yeah you noticed that too right? Lol. I mean I can understand though. The guy would've had to read it like 100 times if he wasn't making a conscious effort to not say it. So 1 slip out of 100 I give the guy a mulligan for lol. Besides I'm sure back then everyone knew the drug. I think he just didn't want the "copycat" effect to happen by publicizing it.

Casey Anthony comes to mind, her lawyers was an absolute media whore
How do they know that there were no sexual assaults , or murders in Miami???? 😔
They wouldn't have cared to know about ANYTHING if that one victim hadn't gotten away smmfh!
Right! They weren’t even connecting the dots of multiple men from Club 219 were being witnessed getting into cabs or busses with this white male and never being seen again. One canvass of the gay clubs would have yielded so much information that it’s clear they did not do it. They didn’t care about those gay men. Especially cause so many of them were gay BLACK men. Yup, I said it. Where’s the lie? Dahmer had been accused of drugging a guy who testified at trial that immediately after getting out of the hospital he went to the police station and told them where Dahmer lived. He was drugged then put on a bud where someone noticed his drugged state and bought him to the hospital. He was robbed of cash and jewelry . So many men go missing from club 219 and here they have a guy who is drugging people from that club and you investigators don’t take him in for questioning? They weren’t looking for those men, they didn’t care for those men. They had blinkers on to anyone who tried to warn them about Dahmer cause he was a white man amongst lower income blacks. So clearly THEY we’re the problem. My blood boils every time I think about it.
I think they are trying him on the stuff they have evidence for. There were a few assaults while he was in the military but they aren’t charging him for that
His mother was drugged up with so many different drugs during pregnancy. She then went into neglect him. There was no love. Just screaming and shouting. Jeff WAS abused

Dhamer was sorry for what he did and he repented. He was baptised in order to wash his sins away. At that point he was born again and devoid of sin. Technically, in the eyes of the Lord, he was murdered as an innocent man. Just like thr criminal crucified next to Jesus pbuh.

I think today, the name of the drugs he used on his victims would have been said. But, he was worried that if he said the name of it, someone might get the idea to use it to also drug people. But now, with everyone having access to the internet and any bit of information they could ever want to know.... there's no point to withhold the name of a drug that can be used in this particular way.

This is neat that they are plying old court cases
He contadicts himself very early on by saying this wasn't about dead bodies and that was a second option if he didn't get what he wants. He then says that the first guy Dahmer killed that he didn't even ask for sex so wasn't turned down. In my opinion this was ALL about the dead bodies. The guy was clearly obsessed with that and a full blown necrophiliac. He even said that he didn't enjoy the actual killing and didn't want them to suffer although later on he obviously didn't care by trying to keep them alive and they suffered badly. Early on though he did make it quick or drugged them before killing them.
I'm not saying anything in his defence, just that the prosecution contradicted himself. I also don't think Dahmer was legally insane because he was able to hide his crimes, knew right from wrong and able to work a job. An insane person (in the eyes of the law) doesn't hide their crime because they don't think they did anything wrong. He's clearly got mental issues up the wazoo but insane to the point you won't be held responsible for your crimes clearly not.
I caught that contradiction too, you can tell he was laying it on thick for the first case outside his jurisdiction, so no real personal knowledge and in doing so revealed the heart of the case, his desire for dead body sex... This wasn't about sex like all people, this was obviously different do to the obvious trial because his acts...
I also question the occult timing in the claim, they say that came later... Lol umm well he showed signs at day one as well... I always question prosecution because they want the story to be the most felt in everyway by adding explosion and fire to probably a very basic situation...
But ole boy was definitely a predator day one because he didn't ask, he just did... So yeah this introduction is the nicest I've even heard someone explain a serial killer, after this I picture Dahmer with pigtails and shy, not the land demon he truly was... Gesh
These hearings weren't about dead bodies. He pled guilty. It was about his competence to be given the death penalty.
@@PatriotGamesROCKS Wisconsin does not have the death penalty, this was about weather he should be sent to a medical hospital or jail.
Robin you got it wrong. First victim started talking about girls then Jeff realized victim wasn't homosexual and killed him in order to have sex with him. He only killed men who he found to be sexually attractive. I think Ted Bundy and Jeff are the same; both sex addicts who wanted a shortcut and instant sex pleasure that's why they killed people they found to be attractive and then had sex with dead corpses of victims. Ted killed young attractive women and Jeff killed young attractive men. Ted blamed it on porn and violent detective magazines and Jeff even said he viewed people only as a object of pleasure, he wanted total control of a person and didn't want to worry about their wishes.

Netflix documentary was on point
Can you recommend any other full length cases we could watch? Really good ones.
I have been watching the full Adolf Eichmann trials and it's riveting, tragic. I love to see the history. And Gideon Hausner is a badass prosecutor!
The Joel Guy trial is mind blowing
@Cori Asher there's nothing amazing about watching the real life crimes of murder
@@sandrahughes8182 but some videos help explain it very well and are respectful to the victims
The way he says I won't tell you what pills he was prescribed neK minute he names drops it 😆 whoopsys
This was awesome however I have to disagree with prosecutor that "paraphilia" is a new word. Freud was writing about them in the late 1800's.
The word... keyword word...
Those jurors are sitting PRETTY close to Dahmer...
And
So ?
didn't that doctor who prescribed the sleeping pills ever wonder about all the pills dahmer needed. when someone has sleeping problems for so long shouldn't a doctor take other actions
It’s the same story with most serial killers. They do it because they need too. Most attacks aren’t planned but they head out knowing they will act if opportunity presents itself. It’s because they are driven by their urges desires and they are risk takers and most people are to dumb to realize what their intuition is telling them not to do.
I respectfully disagree. Dahmer didn't do this because he needed to, he did it because he wanted to and found it easy to do so.
@@simplelifedays3692 this. It was not a compulsion that overpowered him. In fact, he drank excessively to build up the courage in order to do it. The bottom line is the fucktard was greedy. He didn’t want to reciprocate the partners sexually or VERBALLY ASK AND RECIEVE CONSENT for whatever his kink were. So he chose to drug his victims and take advantage of them. Then, when the drugs were bound to wear off, he knew the victims would be incredibly angry and notice that they were drug and He feared a confrontation. He didn’t want to have to fight or even be yelled at/turned into the police, so he chose to strangle his victims. Then progressively he chose to use more degrading means to incapacitate them. It was all this progressive escalation. The only thing true is that while this was premeditated, it for damn sure a crime of opportunity. If the victims had their own car, he could magically control himself and NOT take them back to his place? Why? Cause the vehicle sitting around his apartment would for sure tie back to him. He often stopped the cab or bus blocks away from
His apartment and took off routes to the place in order for the drunk men to forget their whereabouts. Almost always entered through the side of back door. I often dislike nosey neighbors but dang, thank God for Glenda Cleaveland being on to him. She was very VERY aware the a slew of men would enter Dahmers apartment, she would then hear silence, screams (cause despite Dahmers claim that he never wanted to hurt the victims, just because they were drugged on sleeping pills doesn’t mean they were startled awake once they felt someone strangling them. They would thrash, often be heavier than Dahmer and maybe overpower him and is drunk ass was sloppy and made noise. ) then after the large amount of thrash and fighting , she would he sexual noises then disgusting drunken primal screams . Days would go by where only Dahmer would emerge sans boy who entered, smell would start and like clock work, the power tools would emerge at all times at night. This is what Glenda experienced. Then to be gaslighted by cops and the building manager and Jeffery himself. Realistically since this was the midwest and early 90s , I’m sure Glenda feared that he was simply into sexual kinks and reporting him would lead to claims of homophobia.
@@simplelifedays3692 exactly
@@simplelifedays3692 he did everything because he could and because he wanted to. All of the above. He also was a closeted gay and obviously the Rage of beating a man to death and drugging people just to have sex and have his way there were problems at home too. The mother and father needs to stop with the bull crap I can go on and on about this I don't see how people cannot literally read through the lines and his pathetic ass behavior. He was dead without sex and raping gay men that is the truth. He literally lost it and it drove him insane. Disgusting to think about the darkness of somebody's personal preference. Makes zero sense. He definitely needed it and also used his privilege
I found it funny that the psychiatrist found him insane but the courts did not. He is the definition of insane. I recognize that he is unique in ways that the world has never seen but to say he isn't is beyond me. We could have studied his brain especially since he was open
It’s ironic that he had an all female legal team. 😂
Because he killed men, not women, so most women defend him 😒😒😒
His main lawyer was Gerald Boyle. The woman lawyers were his assistants. I believe there was also a third assistant named Scott.
It is difficult to consentrate to the case if he is horny, fantasized strangle or drill the male legal skull and f*ck them afterhand... Female legal makes him consentrate better and give the impression to the public that he is cute and fluffy just like teddy bear not the real bear... If you know what i mean
Guys, is it just me or does someone else find it disturbing seeing how he's playing with that thing 1:37:11... my mind just started thinking of what he was thinking.... am I weird? 😜
