I went there and it was very disappointing cuz just a very tiny part of the town looks like this, the rest is just like "normal" standard brazilian cities I've visited.... nevertheless the region is very beautiful, specially Pomerode which seems much more german, but much smaller!

Sou de Recife mais conheço Blumenau, lindo demais, comi um Eisebein defumado, acredito que em 2010, de outro mundo, SC é muito bom, todas as vezes que fui tive experiências excelentes.

When I went to Brazil, I really liked going to Minas Gerais, a beautiful place, good food, good people and beautiful people visit when you can, it will be worth it.
So sad to say you missed Pomerode. It's a tiny town next to Blumenau. It's lovely: there is a china factory where you can buy very cheap, breweries... But, the main attraction to me is a chocolate factory called Nugali. It's 100% Brazilian and the chocolate is unbelievably good.

Foi bem pela Europa ter importado a porcelana de lá (já que eles que inventaram), que aqui no ocidente o nome do país acabou ficando China. Na verdade o nome correto da porcelana era ChangNan, mas o nome foi se transformando com os anos até virar esse nome que conhecemos hoje em dia, que é China. Vale lembrar que os chineses não chamam o país deles de China, mas sim ZhongGuo, que se traduziria para algo como "Reino do Meio".

Just a small correction : Blumenau is not the only one hosting a Octoberfest. In Rio Grande do Sul there is planty of cities that also celebrate the Octoberfest. Blumenau is the biggest and Santa Cruz do Sul is the second (this is the city that you loved the craft bier haha)

@@igorsantana9144 I'm not afraid of Brazil, but of the Corona virus. I am from the most violent neighborhood in the USA and where it has some of the highest death rates. I have a right to be afraid, right? I didn't even leave the house.

I live in USA Today but Im from Santa Catarina State in Brazil and I use to live in Balneário Camboriú that is next to Blumenau. Blumenau, Joinville, Brusque and Pomerode are very unique cities, is other country inside a country, nice places to know at all.
