  • CÂNDIDO GODOI, RIO GRANDE DO SUL, BRAZIL-
I was shocked to find out that in the south of Brazil there are these small towns that resemble Germany in almost every way. And I was even more shocked to find out that one of those towns has one of the highest twin birth rates in the world.
There are multiple theories to how some random German town in the south of Brazil could be having this many twins but I wanted to find out what the people who live there believe.
So I went all the way out there to make a video about the Mystery of Brazil's German Twins. I hope you enjoy this one.

Germans started arriving in Brazil around 1824. People forget that the first Brazilian empress was Austrian, (Maria Leopoldine von Österreich) and she worked very hard to bring immigrants from Austria and Germany to Brazil and this before Germany even existed as a country.

The south of Brazil is where germans and slavics arrived in South America... That's why Brazil has the second largest germans descendants after USA.

And the first of Italians. São Paulo is the largest Italian city in the world, with more Italians and descendents than Rome. And the largest Japanese one. Etc.

As a brazilian myself i can say, it's 100% true that Mengele was in Candido Godói, he was even friend with the mayor in that time. Also, having a doctor in a small town like that in that time was luxury, you can say tell from the Italian town named Antônio Prado, that had 1 doctor for the whole town. Mengele might have done some experiences with pregment womans, but the question is... what did he do?

Sempre que aparece um alemão por aqui o povo começa a falar alemão e nao para mais kkkk. Mas o Brasil é isso, nao existe o brasileiro, existem os brasileiros. Cada lugar é de um jeito

When the "Germans" started arriving in Brazil, Germany wasn't even a country, it was several principalities. German language was banned in the country during the Second World War and a few decades later, this meant that the majority of descendants did not speak German, the few who did speak a dialect called Pomeranian. Brazil also has many descendants of Italians, Ukrainians, Lebanese, Romanians and Japanese.
These families suffer a lot from these stereotypes, the majority came well before the Second World War and those who came during the Second World War were not all N4zis, the majority were victims of N4zism... politically persecuted, etc... Of course they existed those too, but even they don't like their ancestors nowadays.
