- Sydney McLaughlin is the world's fastest 400M hurdler. Her climb to the top was filled with doubt, fear, and anxiety. Sydney shares her reason for a renewed mindset as she trains for the upcoming 2024 games in Paris.
After watching her win the gold for the 400 m hurdles last night (2024), I learned that she was a Christian when she did an interview on the late night Olympic coverage. She also came up as a devotional suggestion tonight on my YouVersion Bible App today. So I decided to do a search on here to learn more about her and her testimony. So glad it led me to here. ❤
So proud of this young lady and her fearless, faithful witness for Jesus.

We are often our worst critics. Yet, when others looking from the outside criticize our efforts as lack of effort, it does strike a match in us to prove to ourselves and anyone watching that we're right where we're supposed to be, doing what we do. All things are possible with God, though we have a duty to be intentional about seeking Him in all things and give Him the praise and glory. Then, we have to give it our all. Sydney has and this is such a beautiful testimony!

I think she meant to say Philippians 3, where Paul says that he counts it all as dung to be found in Christ, not having a righteousness of his own that is from the law, but the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus. Wonderful confession!
She definitely meant Colossians 3
Perhaps she had in mind, "Your life is hidden with God in Christ." I'm sure she was glossing it in her mind with Philippians 3, as she should.

I used to be very religious i used to go to church every sunday..all i got from god was spots on my face..not what i wanted i do not bother with god anymore..i got everything i wanted in life by working hard religion is a waste of time. Money is god long may it gingle !!!!
