  • The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF or in Maylay - Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia; TUDM) was formed in June 1958 with the 11th Squadron being formed in 1969. 1975 brought about the disbandment of the 11th but it was reformed in 1983. Malaysia bought their first supersonic fighter jets; 14 F-5E Tiger II. In 1982 the first F-5Es aand F-5 Fs began to arrive and were given the local designation of M29. The 11th operated as a "Training and Reconnaissance" Squadron. M29-12 was ex USAF 74- 1457.
Today's example is from Hobby Master. It is 1:72nd scale and made of diecast with plastic accessories. The model is of the Northrop F-5E Tiger II from the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) or Royal Malaysian Air Force's No.11 Sqn, M29-12, Malaysia, 1980s.

Makes me wish I had more aircraft from overseas air forces as the colour schemes are out of this world and so interesting when you research them. I wonder-----does anyone roll their aircraft models around?

You know there are guys that sit at their desks making engine sounds rolling their model down a carboard runway into take off position...and two of those guys are Tom Cruise and Elon Musk!!!!

Hello there buddy. Another great video as always. Just wanted to ask your opinion on something. My local stockist of diecast model aircraft are unable to source an F14 from Hobby Master but in October shall be stocking JC Wings F14's. I have heard that they are another as well constructed as Hobby Master. If you could help me decide that would be great. I hope all is well with you my friend. As always great content and very enjoyable. Have a great weekend 😊😊😊😊😊

The JC Wings F-14 isnt too bad, just has some fitment issues as per normal. Out of the two I would say Hobby Master goes together the best. Both make solid Tomcats!! There is a guy who did a review on a JC one, I have the same model myself but just haven't got to it yet. But he is called Military Vehicle Reviews, he did the video about 5 months ago, its got over 250,000 views!!! But that will show you pretty much what you need to know, just with an American voice rather than an Aussie, haha. I only found his channel when he commented on one of my videos!! But he has I think nearly 80,000 subscriber's. Remember you always have eBay as an option to try and get a Hobby Master one delivered to you, if you can trust your postman!! You have a great weekend also!! Happy hunting!!
