I gotta deeply thank you all for backing the videos. That being said, I do understand that this isn't the regular content I make, I do go over this in the conclusion of my video but I'll try to do a write up here
I know this video doesn't equate to two weeks of effort, for the most part I took a break, and my regular content is returning with the next upload I just wanted to come back with something different
Petscop has really interested me, the way it tells a story and communicates with us as viewers is just amazing and I'm sure this isn't the first case of an alternate reality game done right but it's one of the best I've seen
To those that didn't enjoy this video or saw the lengthy duration of this video I'm sorry to dissapoint, I'm scared of RUclips becoming a chore so my brain racks up ideas, most are never visualized because of the time they take and RUclips has this ideology of quantity over quality. With my channels turning to inoffensive, bland content like daily vlogging (something that requires it's own video)
to conclude I'm very interested to see how this video does and to see if I can do similar stuff like it in the future, gosh bless

I was 13 when this video came out. I’ve seen it so many times I can recite a lot of it. I had it downloaded and would listen to it while walking around. It was my comfort video for years!!
I’m 18 now, and this video still holds up. I would love to see the series get the full analysis it deserves, but I also understand that petscop 2 has followed him around for so long that he may not want to anymore, and that’s okay. Regardless, thanks for the video :-)

The fact that there are no jump scares just makes this game that much more ominous. It’s completely different from a normal horror game, and honestly, it’s a lot more scary.

It has minimal (if not zero) jumpscares and will leave you paranoid, especially if you are able to see some of the easter eggs by panning the camera left or right in some places. i dont see anyone mentioning this so re: 53:53 , the dog didnt have to be put down actually! the text said the dog survived. "but i was the only one who still wanted to put it down. a dog is an innocent," the text reads, which implies to me that whoever is writing the text here saw a dog break it's leg, and when they were told it would make a full recovery, wanted to put it down anyway. perhaps to save it from the suffering of healing?
some dogs do get put down after a broken limb because of how much it costs to fix, but in this case there isnt proof the dog died, simply that a character wanted to put the dog down.

If the 400k new views on this in just the last two months alone says anything at all, it's that Petscop 2 isn't just a meme for the channel, it's genuinely something we would love to see if you have the time and energy to make it. It's content like Petscop and this video that make RUclips still worth putting up with even on the worst ad and censorship days. Petscop gives me this weird feeling of nostalgia of greek novels from the early 20th century I used to read when I was younger. The windmil, missing or dead children, the strange family and historical references. Also, when the game takes place, Candace was 7 years old, meaning Paul must've heard about her situation.
