Weininger lived in a time when Eastern philosophy was becoming fashionable. Hermann Hess was his contemporary; his "Siddhartha" deals with Buddhist ideas. I mention this to strengthen the idea that Weininger undoubtedly would have been familiar with the Eastern idea of the Yin and the Yang, which easily encompass masculine and feminine. In that respect, Weininger's view of gender should not have been all that shocking to those around him. Unless of course he (deliberately or unintentionally) expressed it in such as way as to antagonize others.

Weininger himself has probably been the example of severe imballance of the Animus and Anima (jungs elaboration on the masculine and feminine part of us). Understanding the Eastern idea of Yin/Yang could never lead to considering one part of this ultimate symbol of heterogenous equality as "lesser/dependent".

=> I was thinking of Jung and "Animus/Anima"... i guess you could say Weininger was an early pioneer in that area....

I thank you very much for this. Wittgenstein said Weinniger was wrong, but his error was significant.

Sorry, I don’t understand. You don’t like the music, right? What kind of music would you suggest for this type of video?

Poor, deluded philosopher this Otto. Identity? I laugh, but here is not the place to explain to you why I laugh. Have you ever considered the wetness of the water?

I HAVE SEEN SO MUCH OF THIS IDIOTIC BULL💩.... here's the fact, anyone with a good command of the spoken language only need to lock themselves in a dark basement and invent a narrative using prolific vocabulary that astonished only the fools.
This is no different what a rapper does, there words raw and vile interpret reality of a different nature affecting their survival and how they view the world.

Why did he sometimes say her and than his and than her and his again ??? Am I alone or was this thinker only struggling whetar he was gay or not? Or maybe wanted to be a lady?

Agree, confusing. Her referred to the feminine personality, I think. Plus masculine/feminine is a real thing, same as yin yang. The prejudicial descriptors are the problem. I found it interesting they didn’t included mental illness because of his obsessive thinking.

Depression is synonymous with mental illness, since the findings of psychiatrist Emil Kraepelin in the 19th Century.

It distracts from a clear narrative. i don't know if it's an AI artifact, or the author was being "artistic" in expressing the masculine and feminine... there is a reason college professors play a role in expressing clear thought... but that may be a thing of the past...

What do you mean? A thinker must be gay?
