Is this a real windows on mobile phone ? Or just emulator ? Or android and windows? It is my dream to use windows on the left side and android phone on the right screen... it would be amazing
@@michaelbmw1931 its the one or the other. you can make it dual boot and then boot into android or boot into windows.

I still use this phone as my primary phone, hard to live without it.
Good to know that it also auto enables tablet mode so that everybody now uses Windows on Duo as God intended

hi Shane - at ~9:05 mark, I see 2 Surface Duo groups on the left-side column of the right-sided split screen. just wondering as to which social media platform that I can find these 2 groups, since I'm always/still interested in Surface Duo as a platform, Thanks ahead of time, and keep up the great vids!!
You should find a way to extend the main monitor's taskbar across both screens. That would be the best possible thing to make room on it when viewed in a dual portrait mode. I wonder if that's possible.
Use the "Extend these displays" option in the display settings if you haven't already. I'm guessing that will help.
Is there any progress on the A14 Pixel ROM project that you showcased before? I think Ty runs that project IIRC. I remember your last video update on that and how surprisingly well and complete things ran. I appreciate your efforts here as always. I just don't see the use of having full Windows on what would be a very underpowered ARM PC. Thanks as always for the content.
Looks like Thai's latest update on his GitHub page for the A14 Pixel ROM for Duo was the v2023.11.30 update from late last year but looks like progress from the initial build in early October has been slow but that's understandable seeing what he's been able to do by himself.
Curious if anyone with a SD1 has been keeping up with Thai's A14 builds and if you can share your experience.

Has anyone tested any drawing apps on this setup? I am tempted just to draw on windows drawing apps like Fresco or even photoshop! vs android apps.
My Duo has 256gb of storage. Probably just as well, I really don't need to do this - as much as I want to! I've book marked this video though.
All you're waiting on is for Gus to create an ffu for that storage, I'm sure it'll just be a matter of time if you want to go for it.

Probably won't be. The SOC used on the Duo 2 will only load Android. There's a technical discussion I won't get into on this comment, but you can find more about that in online channels.
can I tun any desktop apps or only from Windows store? I need to run Metatrader4 on it
Is there anything like this for other android tablets? I'm interested but I'm also pretty sure this build is surface specific.
Totally off topic but has anyone tried to use the surface duo or duo 2 with only one screen? Like fully removing the other screen? Like a Surface Mono? Does it work?

Resetting it before following these instructions is redundant because it'll be reset two more times in the process of doing this.
Is it possible to use the MS Duo connected to a monitor and paired with a BT Mouse and Keyboard, precisely as the Samsung Dex does?
You can do all that, but there's nothing like a Dex interface.
It would be most isteresting to me if you insteaf were able to install a Linux distro, maybe something like Droidian (Debian).

Believe it or not, it's considerably easier than the old method lol. To be fair, the first half of this is basically just opening your Duo up to be able to do stuff like this. Since I've already unlocked my bootloader, I would have skipped until like halfway through this video.

You must be kidding me! Why would anyone install that windows shit on anything. Since retiring from working as an IT professional I have been rid of Windows on everthing I own, There's no way I would install that crap on any piece of equipment that I own.

I wonder if sound will ever be supported. This is such a deal breaker.😢
