Great video! To the point without the sideshow antics. Additionally, it's good to listen to an instructional by someone with command of the English language.
Thanks for the video...this belt is really kicking my ass. FYI for anyone that has a 2011 it uses a belt with grooves on both sides. The 11 fan pulley has grooves on it, unlike the one in the video. Also the tensioner and idler pulleys also all have grooves.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yes sr I'm doing exactly how u doing it but I get no where with it the only difference is my belt brand I believe is gates not motocraft
Wow, there's a job I haven't been into in a while. I didn't know the vacuum pump bolts would loosen off on one as new as 2014. I've had my share of 2012s in for this, but I don't recall ever needing to do one on a 2014 or newer.
I know you have it disassembled to do the vacuum pump gasket on this video but if only doing the belt how much do you have to remove for access? i.e.. fan shroud, etc. By the way another great video for 6.7L owners! Thanks!!
Uh, what type of tool were you using when you inserted it into the tension arm to relieve all the tension on the serpentine belt in order to complete the belt all the way around and finish ? I can't see it very well, I'm sorry! I watched the video 3x's but I can't catch what the tool is or the size of .....sorry. Haven't done this before
I haven't don't one on a 6.7 yet, but I know the 6.4's aren't any fun when the shroud and everything is in place. Can you do one on a 6.7 w/o having everything apart like you do??
That should be the whole aptitude test before you can apply to the ASE program, you have to route this belt without looking at a diagram... seriously think of how that would thin out the herd! Yeah I feel for the guys that took of their little shroud and dont have their manual in the truck and have no clue how to route the belt, its pretty tricky for the people who never do it..... I am one of those guys who has a spare and even hangs on to the old belt just in case in the truck... but in with those I have a diagram in a zip lock tied to the belt packaging cause no way do I want to be sitting there for three hours on the side of the road in case I forget how... nice show n tell, something every vehicle owner should know
Lets see you do it with the fan and everything in the car! haha. Thats how we do them, only taking off an intake tube and a little bracket. its a real pisser, but can be done.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Had to change my a.c. pump belt blew off. Took 20 min to change pump belt on the other hand. I get it on the it pops off when I try the tensioner. I just need another hand lol
Bro great videos I have a 2011 F450 single alternator I'm having trouble with the belt I'm trying to route it like a f250 but the belt is to short and I ran it diffrent in the powersteering and alternator Wich blet is is that has groves on both sides of the belt.
Is it really necessary to do the stupid zooming at the beginning? Also, you left out a very important detail in having the tensioner loose before starting the video. Showing the tools after you use them isn't much help.
This video was a lifesaver when I was just about to loose my patience after replacing the gasket on my vacuum pump. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you ARod!!! You just saved me a seriously bad time... The diesel owners supplement manual has it completely wrong!
Gotchu buddddy
Damn! You make it look like a walk in the park, i feel like a pro now 👍
I have changed many of these 6.7 belts. I know it costs more , but I will change idler pulleys and tensioner also

That’s a awesome video man!!! What all was needed to get to that point? I take tube removed and.....?
WOW! You made that look EASY! Nice Job!
Now we need a video of just the belt replacement. What all needs to be removed from the stock vehicle to replace it. Thanks
Ok ill do one
Thanks Bro good to see you do it. I did a lot of 6.0's but no 6.7's yet. Our 13 F350 though has a coolant leak. We'll be tracking that down soon.

Is the routing different on a 2011 early production? 12/10. Has ribs on both sides. Tried this route and it will not fit.
Yes diff
PowerStroke Tech Talk w/ARod thank you so much for a fast reply!! Truck has been driving me crazy!

Nope!!

How often should you replace these belts
A visual inspection will guide you the best!!
What is this sorcery
Ah yes. The often forgotten accessory drive system. Gotta check 'em.

Dual alt has the ribs on both sides. Gimmie ur email if ya need help. Or reach out to me on IG!
Did you figure it out? Having the same issue with single alternator double sided grove belt.
Love your vids but as a light duty diesel mechanic myself, you take alot apart to change simple things
He didn't have it torn down that far just to replace the belt...

Unfortunately this doesn’t help anyone who doesn’t have half of the front of the engine already off maybe make that video
Bro what a waste need to see the whole disassembly putting the belt on is the easy part.

The lack of 3.0 PS videos seems like good news for their reliability or bad news for their sales.
His last video was one showing you how to drain the cooling system on one.
@@michaelchan8915 yeah but that wasn't much of a repair.
It was if ya wanted to change your coolant silly willy
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod my point was it wasn't a major repair. So the lack of major repair vids is either good or bad
