I really enjoyed this video! And I never write comments! Can you make more videos on how moms can homeschool easier like this with the printer? And also the day to day and preparation etc
You are such an awesome mom! Thanks for inspiring me! I have a 3 and 4 year old, it has been so difficult defending my homeschooling perspectives and also having the strength and endurance I need because I am a married - single mother (complicated...) You give me hope as you stand in your truth. I know you too have tough days, even though you're always glowing and presenting your best self as you share your amazing journey. Thanks for pushing through those times to be the best you as you inspire your girls and mothers like myself. Thank you!
I admire you Akeeba as a Mother, Sister, Daughter and a friend in my head,, your daughters are as brilliant as you ❤️ the future for them will be greatness the Will of God. Thank you for your videos. Cheers✌️💛
I had to watch this video 3 times and I enjoyed it each time. It took me awhile to get a printer and get routine but I’m getting a hang of it. Being new to homeschooling it has been a little complicated but a big blessing here it is time to do progress reports and I don’t see any videos anywhere about that I just hope I’m doing everything right so I won’t be bothered. But I appreciate and thank you for sharing your story and letting others know how we can make homeschooling easier. I know I have a long way to go only been homeschooling for 3 months now a 9 year old with a iesp a 7 and 3 and 1 . Thank you again .
Thank you for the tip about planning minute by minute. This is DEFINITELY something I'm still trying to wrap my mind around but based on my homeschooling experiment so far, I think I would definitely feel more accomplished if I did this. I appreciate your work, thanks for taking us on this journey of learning with you ❣
Akeeba you're such an amazing person and parent keep doing what you're doing and how you're doing it you shine a great light of knowledge, love, patience kindness and more I really appreciate you and I enjoy you and your girls they are so pleasant beautiful smart and well mannered girls. You and the girls be blessed in Jesus Name
Your videos are very informative. I am a ne subscriber. I don’t care for the written videos. I usually will do other things while watching them. Just my personal feedback. ❤️
I just found your channel and I’m so excited to watch more! I love the vibe of the video and it makes me even more excited for homeschooling my littles.
Thanks for sharing your planning process. I know you did a curriculum video for beginners with Elementary school students. Could you please do one for Middle and High school? I would really appreciate that.
Great video. I’d love to see something similar when it comes to a first time Homeschooling family preparing for the school year and how you navigate that.
FYI we are homeschool sisters in my heads, you’re the bigger one lol. I know a lack of time was the reasoning behind consistency but SIS thanks so much for dedicating more time for us on RUclips!! 😫 I’d like your recommendations for specific sites on free printable like teacherspayteachers and how to or how many should we print for each subject etc. If the girls aren’t playing a learning based game on their tablets, are they watching shows or have other forms of entertainment? Can we also know the details on earning morning while doing this lol, cause girl!! Thanks a bunch, Jess
Fellow homeschooling mama here! What are your curriculum choices? I’m curious to know especially when you say it’s free. Have you done a video already? P.S- I love my Epson printer too! Saves so much on ink
I’m planning on starting some homeschooling for my children beyond their school regimen. My oldest is in 9th going to 10th grade and my youngest is 3rd going to fourth grade. I’ve always been good with trying to keep them ahead but due to the past 2 years and me being a nurse I truly feel like I’ve slacked in that area as a mom..they are truly struggling and I want to get them back on track. Do you have any recommendations. Is there testing I can do to see where they are? My youngest completely told his teacher and I he just clicked whatever answers for his state exams 🤦🏾♀️ I want them to love learning like they did before. PLEASE HELP
This is very helpful! What are the things called that you put the papers in and where can you get them? Looking into getting an affordable printer too because I have been writing everything out myself for 9 years.
Report covers! You can find them at office supply stores or Target/Walmart. I use the Office Depot or staples brand now. Last year I used Walmart brand and the papers kept falling out. 😭
Hi Akeeba your videos are so inspiring . I'm interested in homeschooling my kids . Put I do not no where to start do to us always traveling twice a year do to there fathers work. Any advice. Thank you
Do you have a link or video for the curriculums you use? We're "budget homeschooling" and i need more ideas and inspiration for my 5 and 7 year old boys. My 5 year old has adhd which sometimes makes teaching discouraging. My fear is that I'll miss teaching them something important they'll need to know for school if we ever decided to send them back....although I'm more skeptical about public schooling now than ever.
Hi, i am planning to homeschool my kids but i just saw this video and i have some questions I don't know if you mentioned it somewhere else, but how much time do you homeschool each kid daily? Do they have the weekends off? And does your kids go to any kind of classes other than you?
Hi! I homeschool for a total for 2 - 3 hours a day. I give myself a cutoff time of 10:30 or 11 AM. I keep the lessons for each subject short, 15 - 25 minutes. Since we do a lot of field trips/outings we don't end up homeschooling every day. If I think we need a couple extra lessons in, I'll do that on Sunday. On some Saturdays they do STEM classes at our community center. $100/child/month For gym they're in sports through our town. (basketball/ karate this semester) $150/child/semester I was doing art myself but didn't have enough time, so I now put them in an outschool class. Classes range from $8/half hour - $15/hour. They take Zulu (language) with Zulunomics. (which technically could count as their social studies as well) My sister was helping teaching math last year. Also in the summer I put them in a mix of educational and sports camps. The library normally has cheap and good classes in math and science. Hope this helps!
You have a video on teaching your child to read and I wanted to leave a comment but they were off lol. My quick question is, I have a three year old thats non-verbal (autistic) but I want to get started with her, any tips.
I want to grow to be a mum like you Akeeba! The educational part is unmatched. I love how you raise my girls. God bless you more!
Oh wow, thank you! I'm still growing myself, trying to be a mom like my mother 😁
I tell my self it’s too much to home school my girls because I work from home but then I see you. Thanks for creating this inspirational space.

Morning,
What home school program do you use?
Hi Akeeba, is there anyway you can make a binder for beginners age 3 and 5. I wanted to buy one for a friend and even myself.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You have a video on teaching your child to read and I wanted to leave a comment but they were off lol. My quick question is, I have a three year old thats non-verbal (autistic) but I want to get started with her, any tips.
Hi, is she in an early intervention program? Those people would have the best tips
Where did you get that door stop lock. I need that
Amazon! I have used them for years. Once I heard a noise and called the police - they said that with all my door stops no one could get in my house 😅
Nice views.🙂🙂 What grades does your teaching degree include?
I am certified for K-6, but I didn't go to school for teaching.
@@AkeebaMaze What does your K-6;cert cover then?
