I noticed that in this version the chorus is far 'stronger' when compared to the Vodyani's version while they (Vodyani) have virtually a single voice. Anyone else notice that?
Be the first who invade 10 systems as the Sophons and you get that extreme powerful and extremely resource demanding adamantium and antimatter beam weapon. I got it by accident, yet it was lots of fun.
Wait, why would the Sophons, who naturally shun violence, initiating the attack on the Vodyani? I get they have a hero who wants more dust leading them, but he's a Sophon too, so it continues to make no sense.
The Vodyani core belief is that of enslaving other races to elevate and exalt themselves. We're probably seeing them perform a defensive strike, as you can see the Vodyani are heading straight for the planet the Sophon ships came from, and there are Leecher ships in the Vodyani fleet, suggesting they were going to perform abductions.
No race could reach space faring empire era without bloodshed. And please... Vodyanis wanted to consume everything and they are a bunch of religious nutjobs. Fighting Vodyanis and Cravers even without any valid reason is basically doing the universe a favor
The vodyani were heading to there planet with leechers meaning they wanted to harvest the sophons so the sophons decided to kill them before they reached their target
Hes definately not representing the Sophons as he is narrating exactly the same in the Vodyani-Early-Access-Vision. I imagine him being a virtual Endless, but thats just my imagination.
if you watched the vodyani trailer, you would notice that the "our return" (the face at the end, presumably the narrator) has similar features that something in the trailer, and its not a endless....
He is a lost because if his needs are fed by the factions and the factions then will be reminded who their gods are and the lost eyes appearing it only can be a lost
The Endless franchise (with the exception of Dungeon of the Endless, which was a weird hybrid roguelike/TD) is a series of 4X Strategy Games that, while relatively unknown compared to stuff such as Sid Meier's Civilization due to its small studio size, is very well respected. 4X strategy games are (Usually turnbased) empire building gsmes that revolve around the Four EXs: EXplore, EXpand, EXploit, and EXterminate. The genre itself features such critically acclaimed games such as Sid Meier's Civilization, Sins of a Solar Empire, Endless Legend, Masters of Orion, and Age of Wonders. Amplitude Studios, while only having been formed in 2012, has made incredibly high quality games. It came out of nowhere with Endless Space, a good space 4X with a slightly misleading title; the "Endless" refers not to the duration of the game or a promise of a billion worlds, but to the precursor race of all of their games: the Endless. Several years later in 2014 (ignoring Dungeon of the Endless) it released Endless Legend, an iterative title that built upon the framework of Endless Space and hit within the top 5 of Rock Paper Shotgun's greatest strategy games of all time, and one of my personal favorite games ever made. Endless Space 2 is their next upcoming title. Amplitude Studios has a tradition of using Early Access for how it was intended to be used: a crowdsourcing of gameplay concepts, bug-testing and quality control. To buy into early access for such a game is to understand that you will take part in a heavily limited form of the game that will gradually fill in as more features are addressed in large, regular updates. Each and every one of their games has taken advantage of this system, and Amplitude has shown that they very seriously consider consumer feedback in this process. Endless Space 2 is no different in this trend. As far as how Endless Space 2 is right now, I would highly recommend holding off until the new combat mechanics are introduced. While what innovations they have made to the Endless formula with this title have been very interesting and positive, the greatest weakness of every Endless game has been the combat. While Amplitude has said that they have intentions to refurbish the combat into a more engaging and interesting system, it has not yet been revealed or implemented. If you're on the fence about the game, treat the combat as the deciding point.

Vodyani is but a single race. And the plan mentioned here is obviously far larger than that.

THE ENDLESS ARE COMING BACK!?!
I'm so ready for this! :D

WHAT IS THIS EPIC SOUNDTRACK
Anyone know both vision songs?
Am I the only one who instantly thought of the intro to "Il était une fois… l’Homme"/"Once Upon a Time... Man"?
Thank you for reminding me of that... thing.
Anyone know where I can find the music from this?

Mr.H Also I never thought of the sophons as a race who would drain another sentient being dry out of greed.
Actually, judging by the ending, I think the Sophons are curious about the Vodyani and decided to do some experiments on them.

The Vodyani will crush these worms!
"PRAISE TO THE VIRTUAL ENDLESS. AND DEATH TO ALL INFIDELS." Hierarch Isyara St Shaiad
So any speculation on who this "gods" are?
Patrick Ryan The Lost are lame
The virtual endless maybe? I think he may be a heretic though
If this was Called 2 x 4 space I would have thought it was Destiny 2 :)
Steve Ozone Call of Space 2 Black Destiny 2
Who is the narrator supposed to be? Is he representing the featured faction or something else?
Hes definately not representing the Sophons as he is narrating exactly the same in the Vodyani-Early-Access-Vision. I imagine him being a virtual Endless, but thats just my imagination.
