It's nice rovan at least updating those. I bought mine 45cc and can see quite a bit of changes from this 45cc. The biggest change is they ditched that terrible exhaust and now it's one piece, that's good to see. My exhaust have connection very close to engine so it always burns rubber tube over it, it's to close to engine. Mine have plastic front steering deck. And center diff tower top alu part is different, and mounting of brake discs also different. Mine also have pinion cover. Overall seems like improvement. Btw that pullstart you called generic is much better than one on 45cc. The big "super ez start" is big, which is bad thing in itself, but most importantly it doesn't have any ventilation for engine that's overheating anyway. I just ordered ez pull start for mine and it's the standard one with Alu turbine, cuz this winter my zenoah started killing pullstarts for some reason.
Anyway if you considering 5ive clone get 30dnt, trust me I have lt450. Other option is to get rovan Lt(doesn't matter which one, those changes aren't important, the only real benefit I see on that 45.is brace from center diff tower to brake servo) and immediately change this pos engine for zenoah. Chassis is more.or less fine and parts are cheap
Hi. How would you compare the two engines? Is there a lot of difference apart from the obvious being displacement en the easy start. Is there a really noticeable difference in speed etc?
When you first run them, they both feel similar other than noise. However, when you tune them via the carburettor is when you notice the tourqe and top end difference. Running videos on the way. Be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss them.
@thercstore. Thanks for your quick response 👍. Do you think there's a big difference in quality compared to say Zenoah engines. Years ago I had an FG Marder. I gave up the hobby and looking to get back into it. The 26cc Zenoah engine that I later put on a 29 cc cylinder and piston never ever failed. I'm subscribed 😉
@RogerHollants personally, from what I've noticed, the larger engines feel better and stronger and tighter. However, they all have their pit falls. We have just run our 71cc now that's different all together and it's day and night difference. Between the 36 and 45 It all comes down to what you want out of the car. If you want power speed, then 45cc. However, you can see the difference in chassis, too, on the two models.
@@STDriver92 I'm not sure what the main visual differences are as I know parts are interchangeable. I've not had them side by side. I'm doing a build on the LT45 using loads of losi 5ive parts along with taylor parts.
@ the big differences with 1.0 and 2.0 is the center diff is moved to improve the driveline angle of the front center driveshaft. As most know the 1.0 had a major issue with the front center drive shaft warping over time. Aside from that they added avc, slightly changed the bumpers and changed the body design. But the biggest improvement was that moving of the center differential.
The 45cc is a silenced pipe the 36 is unsilenced that's another difference unsilemced the outlet comes out on the side of the chamber the unsilemced outlet comes out at the very end of chamber
All those changes doesn't matter really. The only real benefit of 450.is throttle/brake servo brace which host didn't mention 😂. All other stuff is just farkles. Get cheaper one and change engine to zenoah it's the way to go. Oh I think servos also were stronger on 45cc that might be worth upgrade but idk price difference. I wouldn't pay more than 50€ more for lt450, cuz again just brace.and maybe slightly better servos aren't worth that much, unless you one of those who have to have everything shiny 😂

Can you make a video speed test between the two rc.
@@tommest9934 we will at some point for sure

Personally I was hoping the 45 was going to be based on the 5ive T 2.0... oh well

one exhaust is chrome plated the other is stainless steel.
