- We caught up with Mizuno's product lead, Chris Voshall, for an overview of the new ST-MAX driver for 2024. The ST-MAX is Mizuno's highest MOI and most stable driver from off-centre strikes, but as always with a Mizuno product, manages to avoid the downfalls in looks, spin rate and sound of most high MOI models.
Phenominal! I own the Z220 and love it. But this Max looks oh baby imho. Distance and forgiveness all in one? Yes Please!
Chris, is the best representative in the golf industry 😊
I am a left handed golf player and struggle to find any ST Max drivers to be able to test. I want to play mizuno clubs so bad but is always difficult to even try them. I think you guys make quality equipment and want to test them so I can possibly put them in the bag. I go to all the local golf shops and even travel over two hours to try and find places to try these clubs out but are never available in left handed. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?
Can't wait to take this out for a fitting, but I'm struggling to find a release date. I'm in New Zealand for context.
We've started shipping in UK, so must be pretty close behind.
what does everyone think of the high MOI designs for 2024?
I think the high MOIs drivers are good additions to driver lineups. The obvious trade off is the high MOI drivers don’t have moveable weights on the back to help dial in ball flight. With regard to the ST Max, I think it is a necessary and great addition to the Mizuno driver lineup. As someone that swings it 88-92 MPH and benefits from from higher lunch/spin, I love this driver.
If I custom order a shorter shaft will they adjust the swing weight?
@@stevewenzel4882I called Mizuno and asked them this question. They said they do NOT adjust the swing weight if you shorten or lengthen the driver.
Can there a way to remove and replace the weight on the ST Z 230?
Hi Mizuno, may I please have a free set of clubs? I love golf, but I'm not the wealthiest individual either unfortunately.
Well…you took your shot lol.
