Both the X90K and X90L are great TVs but in my personal opinion...I'm really excited about the X90L! XR Clear Image, Game Menu and the premium design upgrades are incredible!
Good news for the A95L but not so exciting for the A80L which gets a game menu which we spent 30 seconds on. The A80K was a step back or across as the A80J and now the A80L doesn't even get 4 HDMI 2.1 ports - yes, I know it's Mediatek's fault but one is an eArc leaving 1 HDMI 2.1 input for 1 console. Isn't the A80 Sony's best selling OLED model? I would have expected a heatsink or some other improvement for the A80 series. A lot of marketing terms with X Contrast 20, 15, and 10. Looks like the suspicion that the X95K models were different based on size last year as many people thought the 85 inch was better than the other models while the smaller sizes exhibited lower contrast. Now they are being split into separate models which is the right way to do things.
I have the Sony A7000 sounbar and it has multiple HDMI 2.1 ports I believe 3 in total. So not a problem if you really need more ports and great Sound all in one.
@@eric3672 Not everyone will have a Sony A7000 Soundbar. At this point, LG and Samsung have 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. HDMI 2.1 came out 5 years ago and is currently the longest-lived HDMI standard in terms of not having a new one. Imagine if it took TVs 5 years to add 2 HDMI 1.0 or 1.1 ports. HDMI 2.1 was there when Jesus walked the Earth. Yes, there are only a few devices that use it but, guess what, one of those devices is the largest division of Sony, namely the PS5. If anyone ought to have 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, it should be Sony.
@@techsamurai11 I understand that, I'm just saying how I resolved the need for additional HDMI 2.1 Ports besides for the two already provided... I believe all their new soundbars and receivers do the same.
Sony if you're reading this, currently your TV doesn't work well with a soundbar, it hinder the bass output that coming from the soundbar and the subwoofer. Why? Please do a software update on this! I tried to connect my soundbar to other devices and the bass from both soundbar and subwoofer is much louder! And when I connect to the my Bravia TV it doesn't let out that much bass, I tried it at the same volume, and it doesn't makes anything tremble like it supposed to.
This should have been the global announcement video! Love the new line-up, but that XR75X93L looks like the Mini LED for me... Unless I come into some extra bread. Then I'm all about that the QD BroLED!
Why. Sony clearly f'cked us all over with 93L since it is nothing but an X95K demoted. The X95L only in 85" and likely super expensive is the only increase in dimming zone count and contrast from last year. Nah Sony died with me with that shitty stunt.
@@loki76 entitled to your own opinion, but maybe you didn't do much research, but the X95K from last year? I'd take it in a heartbeat especially when you get the best XR Processor in any TV. If I wanted the 85" I can get the X95L with more brightness obviously needed for the bigger screen size.

@@edenic7328 That is a good question that I have an answer for. Since the X90L has a Full Array Local Dimming backlight system, 55" is just about the minimum size for you to see a significant difference in zone light control. Since SONY uses a Direct LED panel for our smaller sizes (compared to those that choose to use edge lighting) we are able to maximize consistent contrast performance. We also have to consider price for that panel size. If you want premium at that size...42A90K is beautiful!
Hi Larry. After watching, I am interested in A95L & A80L. But I dont want to be forced to buy a new (bigger) stand just to fit it in my living room spot. I have an excellent TV stand at least 25 years old. Turning swivel on top with wheels on the bottom. Perfect maneuverability. It is 43.9 inches wide. I want 65 inch TV. I need TV with stand more in the middle. Having options is good.
Both great options for sure and we understand that you should not have to buy a new stand or be forced to wall mount your new TV just to be able to bring it home. So I do have some information for you, I will need to confirm the stand width measurements on the 65A95L but models have a multi-position stand which allows for flexible widths based on current furniture. The 65A80L at it's most narrow stand position will be ~34" wide making it work just fine for your current setup. I hope this is helpful. Larry

Ya I don't understand how they have a new gaming mode but no 42 inch or 48 inch OLED models. That would've been the perfect size to showcase the gaming mode. Am I missing something? Maybe it's still coming?
@omarchafa I already confirmed they're rolling over the A90K into 2023. It's kinda a missed opportunity for them I think with their new gaming dashboard coming out. It would be perfect for the 42 and 48 inch. I really wish they would update the A90K to support the gaming menu. I'm sure it's possible since it's a software feature.
First of all....CONGRATS on owning the TV my wife refused to allow me to buy lol. "Who needs an 83" TV" she asked...well, "Me!" I replied (I do not think she heard me lol). Anyway, to your question. TV tech will always advance each year so there is no avoiding that...but in your case, you own a Crown Jewel of a TV....The "King of TVs - 2021" and most importantly, a MASTER SERIES! Thanks, is it correct there is no 42" model in the 23 lineup? . Does this mean you have have skipped any size below 50" totally? Meaning if I would by a 42" A90K I can`t expect any further support?
The 42A90K will carryover to this year and I would not say that you should not expect any further support. I am sure that you have noticed that we want to be the leader in post purchase firmware/software updates. Constantly working to improve products even after they go to their new home. As for what updates you can expect to receive this year for the A90K...I do not have that answer, but I do know that we are always working on those things. There are several non-XR models that will be available smaller than 50" (X77L, X80K and X85K). With the X80K and X85K carrying over from last year as well. I hope that answered your question.
@@LARRYfromSONY They better have some post purchase firmware and software updates for the 42inch A90K. "Master Series" huh? @@LARRYfromSONY How come you guys at Sony decided to make the 93L nothing but a rebranded X95K. Clearly with contrast booster 15, it's the same dimming zone count. Anybody else noticed what he has on his feet? Such a low key flex
Sometimes you gotta flex a little right 😅😅😅😅
Good news for the A95L but not so exciting for the A80L which gets a game menu which we spent 30 seconds on.
@@eric3672 Does your soundbar have 2 HDMI 2.1 ports that are independent of the eArc? If so, that's actually better than the Sony A95K.
@@techsamurai11 I do!

Will TV's be as good as Mac Pro Screens ?
Question: Does X90L has anti-reflection coating ? or which model does has ?
X90L does not. You'll find X-Anti Reflection in the X93L and X95L models this year (and X95K and Z9K from previous year models)

Even if that were correct from a hardware perspective, with the new gaming menu, updated game features + having already been perfect for my PS5 and PC with more than enough HDMI 2.1 ports for me since I already have their HT-A5000 with HDMI 2.1 switching and all the Mini LED PQ goodness for HDR content. I'd take it in a heartbeat especially when you get the best XR Processor in any TV. If I wanted the 85" I can get the X95L with more brightness obviously needed for the bigger screen size.
My X900F just died but no doubt was a great LED till the end!
What should I pick up next? Looking for 48~55 inch TV, highest picture quality is a must, for PS5 gaming and netflix, Disney + and prime video...
A90K, A95K or wait for A95L?
Well, they say that A95L, being a 2nd-gen QD OLED, is brighter than its predecessor, A95K.
I have recently purchased X90K, will it get updates with new features of 2023 model? Also, will there be a possibility of Backlit remote support to be compatible with old X90K?
No word on backwards compatibility on the new features for previous TVs...but I can help you with the backlit remote request. Search "RMF-TX900U" and you shall find it my friend.
Dang no A90K successor?

Sorry I was asking for the price for the X90L,X93L and X95L for the 85 inches ?

WHICH TV IS BETTER A95L OR X95L???
If you want a super bright tv X95L is the better choice.
A95L for better contrast and black level 😀
A95L
Great questions, seems like this new A95L is gonna be much more brighter than last years. But at the end of the day a Mini LED is still the brightest. If you have a darker room go with the OLED
What’s the XR contrast booster rating on the A95L?
Hi bravia x90l looks very nice how is the input lag on that tv?
I have not been able to test or measure that personally so I am not sure. Traditionally, we let other industry reviewers provide that type of insight for you all. I do appreciate the question.
I like the A80K, You did not say anything on thee price. I am guessing the A80L 77" will be starting at 3,500.

The new size option that u can reduce the size of tv is amazing and must have! You can have a monitor and a big TV screen in one Excellent work here Sony!
I was super excited about that feature as well!
@@LARRYfromSONY i was about to buy a 75 TV from the previous models but I guess I will buy a new one just bc of this feature. I just want to know though if the 120fps gaming it's still supported when you reduce the size and the same for the resolution. Otherwise it is just a gimmick.
@@firstneverfollows9988 Great questions. All HDMI 2.1 features still apply when adjusting the screen size. One thing I did not call out is that it is truly size customizable. The screen starts at 100% and moves a percentage down (i.e. 99%, 98% and son on) until it reaches the equivalent of ~27" display. It is seriously a dope concept!
@@LARRYfromSONY This is something really important that Sony needs to give attention and make a statement we have a monitor and A TV in 120hz 4kResolution in one product this is a game changer and this is insane!
Is the 95L Samsung panel going to burn in even faster with the higher brightness? I may just stick with WOLED.
Also don’t know if an 83 A90J is better than a 83 A80L
I'm a year into primary use on my A95K which admittedly stays on cartoons way too much lol....without any issues. Heat Disapation Mapping, pixel shifting and other tech have kept it perfect. All controlled by the XR Processor. People had this concern last year and in confident that we would not produce this TV if we had not built in protective measures.
@@LARRYfromSONY they’ve been doing burn in tests and it looks like WOLED and LG has addressed burnin. The QDOOLED was not doing well. I don’t know if that is because LG has better implementation or because of the panel itself. Thanks
Does the backlit remote only come with A95L?
For the 2023 models, the backlit remote is only included with the A95L...now if you can keep a secret I have something to share with you. 🤫If you wanted a non-A95L TV but still wanted the backlit remote...you could order the remote separately and use it on any of you 2022/2023 TVs. @omarchafa I already confirmed they're rolling over the A90K into 2023. It's kinda a missed opportunity for them I think with their new gaming dashboard coming out. It would be perfect for the 42 and 48 inch. I really wish they would update the A90K to support the gaming menu. I'm sure it's possible since it's a software feature.
this would .t been fair if fps screen is not in next update in sony tv my tv just over year old

I have the 83” A90J from 2021… Is it really time to Update already? 😮
I am the last person to talk someone out of buying a new TV, but the 83A90J is a monster. We continue to update that model (an others) with picture quality and processing improvements so I imagine that you are loving the TV and will continue to do so my friend.

Just purchased the A90K and if it is Sony's current model for smaller sizes carrying over to this year without updates then I will highly question Sony's support and service to the community. Is the x93L a master series
Great question. It is not. Since Master Series is defined by our best of the best in a specific class...the Z9K 8K BRAVIA XR Mini LED is our Master Series LED TV.
@@LARRYfromSONY How come you guys at Sony decided to make the 93L nothing but a rebranded X95K. Clearly with contrast booster 15, it's the same dimming zone count.
Then you go and make the 95L out of reach for most people by only offering 85" and we both know it's going to cost WAY more than the 93L 85" version. I suspect you will charge Z-level prices for it.
Is this the goal of Sony? I mean you literally drove me into the arms of Samsung. I can get a 75" QN95C instead with likely 1500+ dimming zones, and they aren't sitting still with their "image processing" either.
Tell me again why I should bother with a 600 zones 75" X93L that would likely cost close to 75" QN95C with nearly triple the dimming zone count?

I'm glad sony dropped the "fake" x95k sizes, the 65 and 75. They now give the top dog panel at 85, and the inferior panel at x93. This is amazing.
Only in US, in EU we don't get X93L, but X95L from 65" to 85", on top of that it has Contrast Booster 20 so should be higher end than X93L and the same level as US 85X95L
Can you clarify? what is different this year from last
What do you mean "fake"?
Only real Sony freaks will understand his comment 😉😉
To explain: Sony always has put their best panels into there 85“ flagship TVs. For example the native black levels are even better on the 85“ z9k than the 75“ z9k. Same goes for x95k in 85“ vs 75“. So that’s why he meant „fake“. They are not fake of course, even the 75“ and 65“ are really great TVs but 85“ gets some slightly better panels from Sony…
