I have the 20oz Rambler n yes the slider does leak. Is this covered with warranty or is it expected with this model?!
That is expected with the Magslider lids. They are not a full seal.
I have several Yetis and they are worth the investment . I am a big coffee drinker and the 20 oz rambler not only fits perfectly in my cup holder but it fits the Keurig perfectly. I take one with me and sometimes will leave in my car on a cold winters day and when I return sometimes an hour later it’s still hot when I properly close the magslide. I now have two 20 oz, two 14 oz mug with the handles and I ordered a 12 oz with the hotshot lid. We also have the larger one with the straw lids for water
After seeing several vids in youtube about yeti rambler mugs this is the review I needed to see, thanks man!
I use my 30oz for coffee at work every night and love it. Had it for years and still good as new!
Great review! I ended up buying the 20z rambler in the light blue color and I absolutely love it. I’m not a coffee guy but I do drink tea and it keeps my tea warm all morning when I’m at work (I work outside) I’m very happy I got one 👍🏾
absolute quality video man! Great voice, great tips, and flow. just everything is perfect, and the outdoor temp. test was *chef's kiss*!
Glad you enjoyed this video. That’s very kind. The channel has come such a long way since then!
great review! Super helpful in helping me decide which to purchase
Great review, thanks for sharing.
great review - thorough yet concise. appreciate this thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I have a 30 Oz rambler I’m impressed it keeps cold drinks cold night and day and hot drinks night and day!
I have one coffee mug from tim hortons, bought it for 20$, it got worn out after 3 years,
My brother have this YETI rambler mug, he's not using it, so I took it and give it a try,
MAN! I think this is the best mug i've ever had in my life, I've made a Peppermint tea, after 2 hours and still hot AF!
I give them away as gifts for the people you never know what to get them. 🤙🏻
YETI coolers and mugs are awesome
I just got my mug and bottle. Amazing quality. It's like Pelican cases but for drinking 😁
The 30oz travel mugs mag slide is leak proof. It’s because the main lid screws down on the cup unlike the rambler which is just a push fit.
Had my 30oz for a year and use it every day. It’s still good as new. When I bought mine my wife thought I was crazy as you can get travel mugs for a fraction of the price. But she has since bought 2 since I got her a yeti bottle for her birthday. Deffo worth the investment.
I swear by my YETI bottle. Been using it for years. Its never let me down.
Just got one. Kept coffee warm for 2 hours but not what I would consider hot. Still better than a regular cup though.
I have the last two love them.
My Yeti keeps my water liquid for several days. Amazing!
I loved my Yeti bottle with the Chug cap
Idk with that magslider lid a couple drops spilled is not anything I'm gonna cry about. Also with mine if I turn it upside down it might drip a couple drops but then it seals off.
"Down to the dock" as you're in full winter gear and it's snowing outside, lol.. I'm torn between the canteen and the 20 oz mugs. I really wish they'd come out with different lids like the clip ones instead of the slides. That's the only reason I haven't bought another one.
Just picked up my first Yeti today. I got the 30oz rambler in blue with the handle. Love the sturdy construction.
I have the 20 oz Rambler. A slight leak. Does the bottom come off and repairable?
I love my yeti stuff!!
I have the 30oz rambler and it's a roadtrip BEAST
I have one as well. I added the handle and used my cup during my drive from TX to WA 3 years ago.
I love these I have a lot of yeti products and they are conversation starters lol
Right?!?!
People are always very curious
They are marketed as spill proof not leakproof. A bit of legal word play. Great video! Thank you.
Last time I checked, their website says leak resistant, but not leakproof. I mean, you can't expect a travel mug to be leakproof with all that pressure inside.
That Navy color is insane!
Definitely a favourite of ours!
Does the 20oz fit under a Keurig coffee maker? thanks
I work in forestry and my coffee stays hot for as long as I need it to in a yeti .
Cool Yetis!
Gorgeous water bottle and mugs. To use it enjoy life.
Yeti is basically the apple computer of the cup world. They are pretty and feel great in hand, but in the end, they do exactly the same thing ANY OTHER STEEL VACUUME SEALED CUP DOES! And at ridiculous prices
I have a 30 oz tumbler, I drink hot tea it's good for 5-6 hrs hot.
I like they are dish washer safe ....Other cups or bottles will say hand wash only.
I do admit they are pricier then the others out there.
I just ordered a 20oz yeti ,i bought because magslider lid so easy to use and clean ,i got the new forest green 2020 color.
Nice! That new color is great
Untill nov 20 2020 they offer free engraving and shipping on any new yeti . A 20 oz is 32.00 total
@@LifestyleLab_ cup dont disappoint me . Only regret , why didnt i buy 3_4
gret video brother , please can you tell me if the white on the yeti cups gets dirty or show fingerprints anything or dose it stay prety clean ??
Its stayed very clean. Nothing really seems to stick to it, the outer coating let's everything wipe right off. No fingerprints to be seen, even on the darker mugs
Yeah I definitely couldnt do the little mug with a lid because I drink my coffee so fast in the morning. Not purposefully, it's just if it's there I drink it lol
Same with food sometimes I’m done with my food before everybody even gets theirs lol. But I’m not scarfing it down either
I finally bought the 10oz last month under immense peer pressure. I went for it because it was on sale, but otherwise couldn't rationalize the price. All I can say, is that they aren't quite worth the hype, and they are expensive for what they are, but at the end of the day, it is a nice mug. Feels nice, looks good, and gets the job done, but it's almost more of a social statement, then essential field gear.
In any case, good review. Thanks fort the content.
True. I got one for Christmas so i didn't have to pay for it lol. The best use for it for me is going to the beach and MAYBE pouring a bit of tequila in it. Other than that it's kinda useless to me
@@armandosoria7993 I totally agree, it's the shittiest travel mug I've ever owned.
@Guerilla Radio how honest I am at the expense of the next brand out there...overpriced and overrated. That's a truth about our consumerist culture. Sorry you don't see it but if you're American I can certainly appreciate why
Yeah I hate the YETI lids, I have a 18oz and drinking coffee out of a water bottle type lit just isn't right. I'll stick to my thermos which holds more coffee and keeps it warmer longer.
I love my yeti but noticing it not keeping my drinks cold as long as it used to. It likely due to the insulation. However I need/wanting something more lightweight. Yeti needs a light version of their bottles!!! Something non-plastic for me.
Check out Zojirushi. Fantastic and smaller / lighter
All I need to know in order to purchase the Rambler is, does it have a twist or push off lid. That information is kept out of this video and on their website.
It is not threaded, just a friction fit rubber gasket for the magslider lids
@@LifestyleLab_ Thank you for replying.
@@NEELSAN76 bought 1, friction fit… lids can bought too, if original wears out..

They should make one that has a window on the side so you can see the fancy cocktail you're drinking.
😂
Is the Yeti Rambler better than Contigo Westloop 2.0 travel mug?
Better in what way?
Build quality, likely yes, heat retention, any vacuum sealed thermos will generally perform quite well
The Walmart Ozark's offer the same exact effectiveness at keeping liquids warm and cold (actually slightly better). I've yet to see any comparison videos of the Yeti Rambler vs a knockoff but I'm guessing the Yeti's aren't much better. You're paying 4x the price for the same product, probably made in the same factory. Save your money people.
Yes made in the same place
There is also purple
Anybody else gets a TheDooo vibe when watching these videos?
funny the mag lid is a big selling point for a lot of people it seems like
It's nice and convenient! But definitely a "splash proof" lid rather than spill proof
I got a black yeti rambler 36oz, and after maybe 4 hours, the water was still as cold as it was in the fridge.
Around 25c room temperature, but a bottle of water would not last an hour until it lukewarm.
It met my expectations well.
I’m just here for the music. Who’s the artist?
The 20 oz and 30 oz stay hottest longer
A lot of "it doesn't hold 2 hours' comments...who needs 2 hours to drink their coffee?! :D
Me! I work in hospitality so I get brief moments to sip something cold or coffee in between. Anything that holds drinks cold for around 10 hours is a plus. Maybe 3-5 hours such as my canteen is a winner for me, lol. Usually will finish it about half way through my shift. Also if you're on the road for a long period of time it helps too!
Should hold that long if they claim 12 hours.
During all day cold weather hiking trips it would be great to have hot coffee/tea available for 4-6 hours
Me 😂 takes me that long to finish at work
I carry a one liter Stanley and don’t get leave a warehouse the entire day. I need something to give me hot coffee all day.
They have a leakproof lid now
how does this compare to zojirushi?
The Yeti Bottle has very similar heat retention to the Zojirushi, but no spout to drink from
The Ramblers have impressive heat retention given their simple lids and wide mouth design, but are not as good as the Bottle or Zojirushi. Also, the leakage issue shown in this video is a notable downside of the Ramblers, depending on your use case.
Overall, the Yetis are good for the office, or sitting around a campfire, but not so much if you want to throw a full thermos is your backpack without leaks.
i have a zojirushi that i use for tea and the yeti does not compare. my boyfriend recently got a yeti and i had forgotten my zojirushi at work (hospital) which is usually very cold at my job, and i came back 2 days later my tea was piping hot i was shook. but the zijirushi has alot of parts that need thorough cleaning which is why i dont drink coffee out of it. i dont need my coffee piping hot for days so i want a yeti for my coffee now. also of course the zojirushi does not leak at all
I do have a question can the plastic lid melt from the hot drinks???
No! It's designed for high temperatures
@@LifestyleLab_ ok thank you so much!
1:45 that M flex
0:10 I dont think he knows what cottaging is XD . be he also talks about keeping your drink stealthy at 1:02 I idk what's going on
Think I know a thing or two about being a good Canadian cottager ;)
ruclips.net/video/D5_2CiuCpE0/видео.html
well, let me tell you....I bought one, a 32 ounce one and paid alot of money for it as you know there cost...so i tested it to see if it held water...I was saddened when my High Dollar YETI leaked water...
So i was not empress. And i lost money
It’s not a water tight thermos… it’s not advertised to be
@@LifestyleLab_ Lmao....then its no good...
Im looking for a yeti cup with a real seramic inside anyone can recommend to me?
you didn't try ember yet?
Not yet actually! Holy smokes are those things ever expensive
Lifestyle Lab yeah too much pricey, but actually they're very good. I tried the mug and its very amazing for holding the coffe hot till the last sip. I'm thinking to buy the travel mug so i can take it to work and lasts for a long time. BTW u replied so quick🤣
Thats great! I'll need to give them a closer look
Aha, we like to stay on top of the comment section :)
I recently received my new tumbler as a gift from my daughter. Today, 3-23-2021, was my first time using it. I must say that I'm woefully underwhelmed. I hoped it would at least keep a cup of Joe warm throughout the morning. However after about an hour, it did no better than my cheapie plastic mug. I wasn't expecting a thermos, but an hour ? Seriously ??
Not sure what you're doing wrong... but I can go on a winter hike for over an hour and still have hot coffee at the end
@@LifestyleLab_ What could I possibly be doing wrong. It isn't rocket science. I always rinse the tumbler with hot water so the metal inside the cup is already warm. Then, add the hot coffee or hot tea! What kind of procedure would be necessary ? What could be wrong with what I'm doing ? Do I need to sacrifice a lamb ? The temp was hot & steaming when I put it into the tumbler. Less than hour later, it was tepid at best, barely warm & I poured it into a plastic cup & reheated it, once again, to steaming hot. Then, once again, it stayed hot for less an hour. Sorry, but I am very disappointed. It doesn't live up to the hype !!
Well as you can see in this video, sitting in the snow in 0 degree weather, the tumbler lost less than 3 degrees over 20 minutes. So I find your claim that your coffee went from hot to lukewarm in less than an hour a little obtuse... perhaps contact the manufacturer if you think its defective. I'm not saying Yeti's have any life changing performance, but even a $10 thermos wouldn't be lukewarm after an hour...
@@LifestyleLab_ HAHAHAHAHAHA You're funny. How does anyone know what the real temp of the snow & the coffee or that it lost 3 degrees in 20 minutes & "you" find my claim to be obtuse ?? Did you get "obtuse" from a Word-of-the-Day calendar ? Also, that " I find your claim that your coffee went from hot to lukewarm in less than an hour a little obtuse... " what are you now, the coffee judge ?? If I'm not happy with this product. You wanted my review, you got it. So, now you're bitchin' because I didn't fawn all over it & sing it's praises to the heavens above ??
A digital thermometer... 🌡
I’m purchasing these as my coffee mugs. I’d rather save the money and invest in yeti cups instead of having a bunch of ceramic mugs I know I will never use and can’t take with me on the go
I've had mine for 3 months and it's never kept the heat after an hour it was cold i contacted yeti and I've sent photos and it's still not enough so Kristen wants me to do an ice test take a photo at night then in the morning and then send it to her then I can maybe get a replacement..wow 👏 so much trouble I'm never buying any yeti products again.
My yeti rambler keeps water super cold.
You need to PREHEAT the tumbler with hot water!
Mine works great
You hurt my feelings. I got the chartreuse. 💀
I respect that!
Just means you're more fun of a person than me! ;)
2M views Lol. Good video otherwise 😉
Chartreuse is sweeeeeeet!
Bought the rambler, bought the stock, don’t care for the tasteful comment.
With mine the ice is almost melted in an hour...
That seems odd.... ice last a very long time in ours even on a warm sunny day
Mine won't keep it hot for more than 1 hour not worth the money
Clearly the producers of this video watched far too many of the Cow&Chicken cartoons
Yetis can’t warm your hands :(
Aha true! Feels weird knowing you have a piping hot drink in there but not feeling anything on the outside
You didn't test how _long_ the mugs can retain heat. That's one of the major appeals of insulated mugs. Excellent ones can keep drinks hot for 6+ hours while bad ones will be far less.
Yes I did, it’s a main part in this video… I just didn’t do it for 6+ hours. Instead I did it for a shorter duration in a low temperature ambient environment.
Heat resistance of an insulator will be the same at hour 1 as it is at hour 6, only difference is the temperature delta across it. (Hence why people think thermoses keep things cold longer than they keep things warm, the temperature difference is just smaller between a cold liquid and room temperature than a hot liquid and room temperature)
The Yeti thermos can easily maintain a very low temp loss after 6+ hours. The others with their open lids will perform worse (as shown in this video)
@@LifestyleLab_ Yea I saw but you can't judge heat retention quality after just 20 mins. I don't know much about heat resistance of insulators but I've owned enough mugs to know that temps can vary wildly and will be VERY different after only 20 mins compared to 6 hours.
I've watched several other video reviews of the Yeti and one test showed from a starting temp of 168F it dropped to 124F in 4 hrs. A 44 degree difference is not insignificant or what I would consider very low temp loss. 124F coffee isn't very hot. After 6+ hours it would have undoubtedly been worse.
You can't assume things based simply on principles. It has to be tested. All mugs aren't built the same. Assuming the temps will be close after 20 mins. and 6 hrs. without testing doesn't make sense and is clearly wrong.
I’m an engineer, I understand physics. If we calculate the rate of heat loss over the first 20 minutes to get a thermal resistance for each mug, that can absolutely be used to extrapolate to 6+ hours if the environmental temperature remains the same.
That obviously wasn’t done in this video, so I’m sharing with you that from my real world experience with all three of these. The sealed thermos performs very well over long durations (6+ hours). While the others not so much due to their poorly insulated lids. This was the point of the demonstration in the video. For those drinking their beverage within the first hour, not those looking to store it all day. That’s not what 2/3 of these are designed for…
Make a real review. Try to see how warm they are after 6 hours compared to a 40$ less thermos. I will never buy another Yeti mug, it was just a fad. I have 3 yeti's and the thermos brands beat all 3 hands down. Now they do make one of the best coolers.
This is a real test... the ramblers aren't designed to be left sitting for 6 hours before drinking. They don't even have a fully sealed lid!
There are better, cheaper alternatives
Test after 20 mins ?? You are joking. Every isolated bottle can do that. Leave it there at least 2 hours duh ???
They’re no different from the others! SIC(SimplyIceCold)keeps the coffee warm for a longer period of time than this waaaaaaaay overpriced tumbler!
Seriously ice cold?
Why do they have such a narrow mouth piece? I feel like it's going to Burn my mouth ?
That metal is not hot, it is vacuum insulated
Absolutely garbage product.. Got mine. And it's absolutely shit.. The 20oz with vacuum seal is shit. It leaks everywhere.
overpriced
I think I agree for the "glidelock" lid series, but the thermoses themselves are really well built, and are pretty in line with the pricing of other high performance thermoses
These are great for people that like to have name brands and flaunt their money. As for keeping coffee warm and inside the cup completely they are horrible. My 20 dollar thermos will go 8 hours. And the lid actually works. Shame on this trendy company that takes advantage of their customers.
It’s a different product category… Of course a thin, no-sealed lid won’t hold temp as well as a thermos…
The Yeti thermos shown here keeps drinks temp stable as well as any other Coleman, Thermos, Zojirushi, etc.
@@LifestyleLab_ a thermos brand coffee mug can keep coffee hot for atleast 6 hours. If youre not working outside it'll keep it hot for 8 hours. Their products have been around for a long time for 20 dollars. If this mug is 50 dollars then how much is the "thermos"? 100? Yeti is a trendy company that makes subpar products. There have been very good cooler companies and mug or thermos companies for years. They just didnt put on multi million dollar advertising campaigns. Bottom line is yeti sucks.
I 100% agree with the trendy products. They sell a $50 dog bowl as well (cringe)
But I disagree the comment about them being subpar products. They are very very well made, and in the same product class, perform the same or better than the competitors (albeit at a higher price)
If you're looking to spend less, take a look at Zojirushi :)
ruclips.net/video/6ByR3qGdrYg/видео.html
This is probably the worst travel mug/tumbler I've ever purchased. The features are not helpful in the least, it doesn't keep hot beverages hot for 4 hours, it actually steadily gets cooler until the 4-hour mark. The lid does leak so how is this even remotely helpful for a travel mug? The plastic lid is pretty regular, there is nothing spectacular about it either. Personally, I feel that the Yeti brand is highly overrated and that people are just getting caught up in the consumerism element of brand names - Yeti is the brand of the day that's all this is.
And the karen comment trophy for the video goes toooooo 😂
@@arturorodriguez8832 me??!!!! Really?!!! That's so awesome, thank you! 😊
I have no issues with my yeti, and my ice coffee stayed cold over 6 hrs yesterday. Then I washed it and made some hot cocoa to finish off my day, and it lasted 6 hrs to 7 hrs well I was out riding my 4 wheeler. The locking sip clip kept it from being accidentally slid open when riding around. Now if you do tip it over it will leak just a tiny bit. Other than that it's the durability for me, and how long my drinks stay cold and hot. Most of us usually drink whatever is in our mugs within a few hrs. This mug keeps its hot or cold for well over 7 to 8 hrs which is great for me.
@@kingdon9690 I've had the exact opposite experience, however haven't used for cold only hot/coffee so can't speak to that. I hate it and think it sucks
@@ashnatiwari I think you're just a negative person, and you have to find something to complain about. I know a crap load of people with these mugs, and not one of them have anything bad to say about them. Never had a bad experience at all, and actually love them compared to other brands. I bet if I went, and looked at your comments on other videos I bet they're all negative no matter what product it is.
Nice
