Good evening Sir, nice to see that is warm weather !!! Yes that is a lots of works !!! Keep up the good spirits !!! Cheers !!!
Cheers. Thanks for watching 👍
Ya it will I hate tracks with a passion when I was in the army, I was a Bradley gunner. For services we had to change tracks, and pads. Those things are no joke. Long day of work. Or even worse throwing track in the desert.
Great video Hank. Always wondered how you change the tracks on a dozer. Now l know.
Part two is out next week for the other side. We get more done in that video👍
I always clean the dirt out and power wash it before I take stuff apart just so I can clean everything and regrease it all as I put back together. But seams nobody likes to clean anything or grease anything
👍🏻👍🏻🙂
Thanks for watching 👍
Love your vids but FYI those are called rails not tracks
Thanks for watching 👍
💥 A second piece of equipment is exactly what you needed. I see you’ve got Tony’s shirt on. Find a TYM dealer and see you could work out a video review deal.
Keep on tractoring!
Lol. Ole Tony does a good job don't he??😊👍
It is like changing tank tracks!
So I hear😊
Great video bud, be careful on the lifting man, quite a bit of work you're doing there!
I need a back brace😂😂
Thank you my friend. Very interesting. Watched new dozer's in factory when they put tracks on it's all built in factory to look easy. They have cables set up for pull along to put pads on. You guys show what a guy has to do himself. It's like a train going down the tracks. Don't get Derailed
Right on!
WOW, This was painful. I couldn't watch it in it totality! Personally, I own a service truck with a Maintainer body and 10K crane. Yea, much safer and my back is fine.
To start with, what's wrong with that D5 or D6 sitting there? Put a block in front of the idler to collapse your slack adjuster next time. Cutting the rails is easier than driving out the master pin but you're not reusing those anyway. Ought to have new sprockets if they're worn much or they'll eat the bushings out faster. I started running a 450 with a mechanical andle/tilt blade in 71. Got a 3 month early out because I had a job waiting. Then spent the rest of my life pretty much running and driving everything I could get inside or on. Here is where the 310 would SHINE but I don't have to tell yall that! Thanks, Pal and GBWYall!
Lewie, it's a D4 and it's in a video next week👍 hope all is well. Take care buddy👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I started to say a 4 but it looked like the 5 I used to herd. My Uncle had a 4D with D6 jacks. Blade was SLOW so he fixed it with a single jack in the center of the grill guard like a Euc/Terex dozer., Still going. God willing see yall next week!
I just watched the clip-on FB where they drove that BEAST onto the back of a tilt flatbed truck. I heard Hank mention the new tracks on that BEAST, so I came here to see it's 2 years ago.
Right on
You are making a very difficult job seem fun and you are really enjoying it.
Thanks for watching 👍
This brings back memories when I use to work on these. The operator threw a track coming down a hill and I got the pleasure of fighting it back on. Not easy when all you got is a pinch bar and a chain. Took 15 year old me about four hours
I hear ya! Thanks for sharing that story 👍 have a great day!
Enjoyed this video Hank. Interesting and informative. This is definitely a big boy job handling those heavy tracks. You also need knowledge and experience to switch these out.
Yeah, all that is true. It is hard on your back.😂😂 Thanks Terry 👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm It is a good thing you are such a young man!!!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm that's no joke man I just went through double hernia surgery you don't want to do it trust me be careful use your head not your back
Yeah Mike D, I hear ya. Definitely don't want to overdo it 👍
The front idler bush is completely worn out
I would trust that boom to lift a roll of paper towels
Great video Hank you and Tommy great job loved it thank you was 👍 great.
Thanks!
..good job,,should improve your high speed turns..lol..great vid..keep safe...
Lol. Thanks Bob. I appreciate it 👍
i would fix the cat you scraped then you would have something to run in my opinion
Right on👍
great vid I have done that , but with a lugall and the undercarriage off the ground
Tough work for sure👍 thanks Mark
Great video my friend very cool 👍
Thanks John. Have a good day 👍
Boy that would come in handy up here right now!! Stay safe!!!🍒👍
Thanks Larry. Off to watch your video 👍
You young fellers have been scolded enough and a E for effort just might be what the doctor ordered. I don't know why but I keep thinking there is a slab up there where the old shop stood, they could be on terra ferma .... and so goes this is the first time I seen one done this way. I just always did the track pads and rails as one piece. your going to have to push that ider in or that just won't fly for sour owl pucky. Some how or another part of that mess slides together to keep it in lead. I wouldn't try doing anything where the machine does much turning cause that whole frame has more mile than Whille E Coyote. It has been used past time of exploration. I do believe to do it right you would have more money in it than its ever going to be worth so what your doing is right. I ain't here to spend your money and new shoes for this girl is just loving something more than one should. I am just guessing but there were no donor machines with dead engine and trans problems around so this is it..... no way to use some two by twelves or thicker if possible to set that pad system on to get the pads on. You will hate it before you love it again. I really and truly wish you guys the best. Your partner knows his way around with torches as that head is a couple sizes small from here so must be the distance apart from each other/LOL
Thanks for watching 👍
Interesting going well.have a d6c.have put upper rollers in.guy i bought it from 20 years ago said had new pins bushings. Was just farm dozer. Hope dont ever have to do that but gives me a clue how to if i ever have to.thanks for sharing.a
Thanks for the comment and watching. It's a process, that's for sure👍 have a good day!
When he hit the track pad I saw the bolt go flying lol 🤣😂😅
Gotta wear safety glasses around this place 😂😑
Hamiltonville Farm true
Nice video. 2 of my grandpap's brothers worked on heavy equipment. I was only 7 when then one died so didn't get to be around it much but wish I had. I've always been fascinated with heavy equipment.
Same here. I didn't grow up around it, but wish I would have. I actually mention that in my next video👍
Pretty cool, that old JD dozer sounds good! Is that an old Cat dozer I see in the background? I saw a big yellow dozer that looks like a Caterpillar.
Yes it's a D4D. Video out this week on it👍
Oh yeah lots of fun...Havent been involved in one of them in along time... Long process but it saves money!
That's right 👍. have a good day y'all!

Thank you Sabrina. Hope you are well. Prayed for you and the fam👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Thank you Sir, I am getting better 💖
What’s the other old dozer sitting off to the side?
D4D ...video soon on that👍
Hamiltonville Farm does it run?
You're gonna find out on the 15th😂😂
Hamiltonville Farm well being that it’s mechanical injection. With only the wires for starting it, it run if there’s diesel in it
Don't ruin it for everybody 😂👍
I've done many of these. Just looking at it from what I could see, more than just the track needed replaced. The idler pulley to me looked like it had a lot of play and wobble in it. The track tensioner looked like it needs resealed to me. Not sure what kind of shape the drive sprocket and rollers are in. Another thing, that is a job that should be done on a hard surface. We jack and block the machine up in place. You should have your local John Deere Service Department do an inspection and check the specs on the track. They would tell you what should be replaced. Not trying to be a Donkey. Just trying to give you constructive criticism. Thanks for sharing. Be safe changing the track. Your friend Bryan
Yeah Bryan...there's a lot to do on this thing. Lol. You should see the other side😳 that video will be out next week!
2nd this.
Looks like chains to me lol
Thanks for watching 👍
Wish I could find equipment like u do to fix up and use
Yes sir. Lots of fun👍
Dude. 🤷🏼♂️
My dog👍!!!
