Wilkinson Road Culvert Replacement Update - Spring 2024

Henrico County Public Works is replacing several box culverts with bridges over Upham Brook, which will improve waterflow underneath Wilkinson Road. Wilkinson has been closed for construction between Wilkinson Estates Drive and Pony Farm Drive since September.
In the past, heavy rainfall has caused Wilkinson to flood and restricted access to the roadway. The new bridges are designed to prevent the water level from rising high enough to impact the roadway.
Traffic is being detoured to Chamberlayne Road and Azalea Avenue.
Thank you to the residents and motorists for their patience as work continues. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2025.
