  • Hello my fellow Jetsetters, AvGeeks and Viewers!
    In todays video, we look at how Singapore Airlines performs on a 6-7 hour long flight onboard a narrow body Boeing 737 MAX-8! This is the final trip report of my holiday to Czech Republic, so there won’t be anymore international trip reports for a while after this. This flight is operating my return leg back to my hometown Cairns, Australia, so shoutouts to you if you’re from Cairns or Singapore as I briefly cover both airports.
    Some information:
    - Airline: Singapore Airlines (SQ/SIA)
    - Flight: SQ203/SIA203
    - Departing: Singapore Changi Airport WSSS (Terminal 3)
    - Arriving: Cairns International Airport YBCS (Terminal 1)
    - Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX-8
    - Registration: 9V-MBJ
    - Class: Economy
    - Seat Number: 54K
    - Departure Gate: A18 (T3)
    - Departure Runway: RWY 02L (020 HDG, Left Runway)
    - Arriving Gate: 4 (T1)
    - Arriving Runway: RWY 15 (150 HDG)
    Singapore Airlines once again provides an amazing flight experience to passengers, which I could imagine would be hard to accomplish on a medium-long haul flight on a 737 aircraft. The crew were friendly and once again provided me with bottomless apple juice to keep me hydrated and energised. The seats onboard were arguably more comfortable than the A350 seats which is a surprise, hence why I managed to have a 30 minute nap on this aircraft even though I was aiming to stay awake the whole flight. Well done SQ! I would highly recommend SQ to travellers wishing to travel around the world!
    Thank you so much for watching this video, I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoyed watching this video and that this video gives you an insight on what to expect onboard SQ! Please stay tuned for two more upcoming videos in the next 1-2 weeks, I’ll get them out asap.
    Thanks!

    Wonderful weather in SIN for plane spotting! Though, I'm surprised Singapore Airlines uses a narrow body plane for a trip to Australia. Most if not all the the other cities they fly to in Australia are served by wide body. They are also actively repositioning A380s to serve routes like Melbourne and Sydney. Believed you had a great flight! As a Singaporean, I am proud and humbled that you had an amazing experience on our national carrier 🥰

      It was very sunny and clear as we departed Singapore and flying over parts of Indonesia! I believe SQ also fly the 737 MAX to Darwin on some days. Otherwise it’s the 777, A350 and A380. It was a great flight and the Singaporean hospitality is truly amazing! Thanks!

    so there was only a single meal service on this medium-haul flight? As with the par of SQ, I would expect to have a pre-arrival snack before arriving into CNS

    I notice that the engine startup on the max is quite long than the 737NG

    • @tmoaviation
      @tmoaviation  3 месяца назад

      Yeah the MAX's have CFM International Leap-1B engines which have a notably longer motoring period (Engine start before fuel is added) than other engines. It's also a thing on some Airbus A320neo family aircraft as well as some are equipped with the Leap-1A's.

      @@tmoaviation I flew on 737 max 8 recently, my experience was pleasant and I don't feel any difference along with other airplanes since max MCAS kicks in and behaves the same way as other 737

    How many hours is the flight from Singapore to Cairns?

    • @tmoaviation
      @tmoaviation  Год назад +1

      About 6-7 hours. Even though it’s operated on a 737, it’s still pretty comfortable

    Hi 😊 Did you prefer the Singapore 737 or a350?

    • @tmoaviation
      @tmoaviation  Год назад +3

      Surprisingly I preferred the 737! Although I might’ve preferred the A350 more if it had the new seats since it hadn’t been refreshed yet.
