Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!

The new farm definitely needs some modern tiling. You will get there. Keep up the good work.
A bit of lime mixed in with your gravel, will harden it up a lot. ( poor mans concrete) Try your land roller on it, that should help pack it.
Back in the day we used to do entire fields of corn with hoe. She has you to take care of plants. All good for her!
Nathan, do ya'll have a basement? Growing up in CA (Central Alabama) no one had a basement due to the soil and clay and the water table was shallow. And as far as the army worms, my Dad use to say "the only chemical that will kill the army worms is two brick". once they got to two day stage you could put them between two bricks and smash them together...
Yes most houses here have basements
Another gem Nathan, little miss cereal purse is gonna be a pistol🤣y’all stay safe and keep em comin 🇺🇸
That’s a beautiful little girl
Cool drone video. 😎🇺🇸
When we use to have a garden,I would set a 5 gallon pail over the plant and then spray with roundup
Good morning!
Get a rear wheel Troybuilt. I bought one 50years ago and it still does a great job.
I LOVE the drone !!!!
If you had someway to mix that dust into the top 3 to inch and then roll it it will make one heck of a parking area 👍
Brilliant video ❤
Morning
Bifen XTS is some good stuff for army worms. It works well down here in the south that’s what we use for all pest. It’s expensive but well worth the expense for sure. 👍
Good morning FJB
Those old tile lines wandering aimlessly seem scary.
I've got some beans that look like yours they are 39 Golden harvest and starting to flower is it pretty early for how small they are
