Does the z71 also have sequential/ swipe turn signals? Dying to know have one on preorder
I agree
They did a great job with this vehicle. And the mini version , equinox, following in its footsteps.
Lies again? Big Ass Car USD SGD
Huh?
I never understood why car makers don’t give bench/ captain chair option on all trims??!! What if I want RS with bench!!?? Do it like Honda Pilot did, removable 2nd row middle seat to make captain chairs or leave it as bench!
😵💫
The removable middle seat is actually what sold me on the new Pilot. This is tempting but I’d be a fool to trade my Pilot in for this. GM vehicles are like beautiful high maintenance women.
@@rockerdriver 😂
So true!!!!
@@rockerdriver How do you like your new pilot? Does it have a quiet cabin? And how’s the power and mpg in real life? I actually sold my 2013 Pilot but didn’t get into another pilot, wanted to see my options first.
So far it’s awesome. The only issue really is the small nine inch screen on the top end versions. It appears that hasn’t changed. The power is plentiful. It’s quiet and rides very smooth. I bought it in June 23 and I’ve already put 25K on it! That included two cross country trips. It has averaged 25 mpg so far in pretty mixed driving and I stay around the speed limit.
I wasn't expecting to ever love a Traverse but I do.
man i like watching these car reviews, but i cannot afford any of these
I bought a Silverado with the new engine, been across Texas and Colorado so far just hit 14k miles and through hills and all it’s been a joy to drive. I use supreme at pump and keep her maintenance on point. Pretty simple honestly. Time will tell. I really don’t want to put down other companies to each their own, every brand has a few lemons
I wud take the Chevy Traverse hands down over the Grand Highlander...
Really, why
Only if the price difference is more than 10k. After 5 years this will depreciate twice as fast.
Agreed the Highlander looks like a 80’s interior it’s so outdated
It looks way better than Toyota, but unfortunately the Toyota brand inspire more trust with their vehicle like longevity, up holding price longer than Chevy.
I love the new Chevy Traverse and especially the new interior design 😍🔥
Damn... that thing is good looking! The squared off look really works on this. I'm liking the infotainment screen too... looks like they put alot of thought into it (instead of the glued on ipad look some other cars have).
Thank you so much for measuring the cargo height!!
Thank you gentlemen for the new cargo space dimensions you've added. I'm very grateful, thanks for responding to your fans 🙂
Thanks! Even though it's a lot of work now, we still read all the comments to see what people like and suggest daily
Probably won’t have as many transmission issues as that 2024 Santa Fe 😅
Yeah that cars a lemon.
Yeah I don’t know why Hyundai put a dual clutch transmission in the Santa Fe knowing that there dual clutch transmission are trash
😂
It's a Chevy. It's almost guaranteed it will have transmission issues. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Meanwhile both Hyundai's I have don't have DCT issues cause I actually know how to take care of a car.
Who actually buys these?
nice review!
chevy is awake now, love the design of interior
Love the mixture of Sienna tail lights with the Explorer back end shape. Definitely considering a test drive.
Had a 2011 Traverse, perfect size for the family I’m told but hard to say for sure since it spent more time at the service center than in my possession. As tempting as this new model is I won’t get burned again, avoiding the Traverse at all costs.
That’s my primary concern also. It sure is tempting but it’s from GM. The first four vehicles I owned were from GM. Let’s just say I’ve learned my lesson.
@@rockerdriverfinally!😂
Those early version Traverses were known for issues but the last few years have been better. There are people that love one manufacturer and hate others so if you like something, do your own research and forget others opinions. I just hit 150,000 miles in my 2015 Equinox and of course I have put some money into it but most cars will cost you something extra after 100,000 miles. Even my 2 Toyotas gave me issues and I got rid of them at 180,000 miles.
Scared about the 4cyl in a big vehicle 🤷✌️🇨🇦
Yea, it’s less than the I-Force Max that the Highlander has. That one is 362 hp and 400 lb.-ft torque.
As long as you know how to properly care for a turbo engine and don’t do anything heavy duty like towing at its maximum weight the engine should do all right. Personally though I prefer a good old fashioned naturally aspirated V6 or V8.
Chevy seems to be putting out quality vehicles right now. Time will tell how these wonderful looking cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs will hold up. 💙✌️
More like Chevy is putting out vehicles with great styling as of late. The quality remains to be seen, and hopefully it doesn't follow past history. But this Traverse is a darn good looking suv
@@pedrogriffin1934nah, open your eyes. The new build quality, materials, color contrast, even the switchgear is worlds better. The quality is definitely already UP over previous *gm* products and I’m someone who has owned them.
Always appreciate you guys testing all 3 rows of every vehicle)))
It looks really good it was a wall flower now it's a stand out in a good way
They are finally being delivered to dealerships. I was told the hold up was EPA and MPG ratings being certified. Headed to pick up my RS on Tuesday!
How's the ride on the RS?
Fantastic review!!😸
Always appreciate you guys testing all 3 rows of every vehicle. I’m curious if the 3rd row reclines like GH
I jump out of my seat when I saw this video pop up on timeline. looking forward to the May 2nd video. keep up the good work.
Awesome! Thank you!
This year I’m buying a new vehicle for my family. Thanks for this Review!
Our pleasure!
As this segment's third row seating competition starts to heat up, you shouldn't be measuring the third row seats legroom with the second row all the way back. That's unfair because it looks like this car's second row go back farther than most.
You should put the second row seats back a set length from the first row every single review and then measure the third row seats leg room to the second.
And also seat height. When I sat in the new Pilot I couldn't believe how low the seats were to the floor. At 6'3" in the front passenger seat my thighs didn't touch the seats because my knees were in the air. Instant dealbreaker that no reviewers ever mentioned.
It’s very nice! I can’t wait for the driving part
No sun shade for a family car is ridiculous, no bench on the top trims, too much piano black to scratch the front bumber, really nice car, but with these deal breakers for me.
Extremely impressive!
Very attractive and very American looking vehicle. Amazing space and interior. GM did a great job. I'm sure it won't have the transmission problems found in Kia/Hyundai vehicles, and the design will have more longevity. I have a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude l love, but l am very impressed by this Chevy!
Yes of course guys & I would buy this vehicle.
The Legroom looks fantastic, GM did a great job with packaging.
This is such a great and bold redesign! It just sucks that they won't be offering this in a High Country trim. I just know it this truck would shine so greatly with that trim.
54k. Yikes. Out of control. I guess the Z71 is my option. Under 50k. Thanks guys. Great video. I really want the Santa Fe. Gun shy though. Maybe I’ll wait for hybrid powertrain.
I'm sooooo disappointed in the sante fe, I was hours away from purchasing. Great job guys🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Santa Fe is MUCH smaller than this Traverse. There in different classes altogether.
I wish they still offered a more luxury focused trim above the RS. The RS has all the features I want but I find all the fake red carbon to look a bit tacky; like aftermarket add ons bought off amazon.
My exact thought! I commented the same as well. If this is the top trim, then it could offend some buyers because not everyone wants the blacked-out look and those red accents in the interior could become tiresome.
I think that’s what the Acadia and Enclave are going for. Traverse is the “sporty” looking workhorse, the other two are more luxury focused.
Premier and high country are returning for 2025
@@NWI_Steel yup you can actually find images on google of this generation Premier without camouflage. I believe it was white with a chrome grille and the RS wheels just chromed out.
The 2023 traverse had such a pleasant c pillar.
Good review. But if you are using the tape measure to provide lengths, don’t forget to measure from the back to the very front of the interior. Some folks want to carry sporting gear like skis or longboard surfboards, or even fishing poles. Cheers!
Very attractive design and fixtures, would like to see the comparison with similar trims of Japanese brand.
I’ll seriously consider this and the Acadia, but why no rear sunshades?! It’s a family car…
Kindly, We need you to compare between traverse vs. Kia telluride ❤
After a very long time, I genuinely love this new SUV from Chevy.
Man that .1 inch of extra room means a lot ig 😂. Chevy really had to point that out
1 inch is a lot clown. Just look at a ruler and see how much more space that is
@@dillonbanks609, 7 inches is a lot. 😂
😂😂
Chevy will celebrate our world's famous Traverse since from 2009 to 2029 made in the SUV by Detroit!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙
Dang. They really have me thinking about that thing. I swore I would never not own a V8 SUV, but it’s sharp.
What does the ambient lighting do? Is there different color lighting options? I cannot find this answer anywhere!
You guys look like kids in the new Traverse. 😆
Wow so would it be a gas saver? I own a 2012 traverse ls and man that sucker eats gas quick 😢 I put $60 to fill the tank every 3 to 4 days
This thing is really nice and the size is great. Trunk space is even better then my 2023 palisade calligraphy but it’s just not enough for me to like it more and I was really excited for this but don’t like the interior materials. Don’t like that it has no ventilation on rear seats and 3rd row doesn’t have heated either and my kids love that don’t think these seats will be as comfy and my palisade has nothing that I don’t like. Maybe the Acadia will be a better fit for me.
Good day mason and drew, nice and ❤ your vids, but am curious and will love to know how u guys get access to these vehicles,👏👏pls
Where did you get your MPG numbers ?? as I don’t think GM has officially released figures. Also they hinted that it was be quit good, 19 city, 21 combined and 24 highway is not good.
The vehicle gotten heavier
Chevy provides us with those numbers
first!! I love new traverse so much. Have a 2018 one. will trade in for new rs
I second that
This new traverse is nice. Especially on the outside, its bold and sporty. The tech is impressive. However the interior imo besides the tech is… dull. Its to dark for my taste even though the red accents add some flare, the competition offer brighter color options. I honestly think getting rid of the premier and high country trim levels was a missed opportunity because this already being 58 grand is already expensive so that means the new Acadia Denali is gonna be well into the $60k range especially with the interior and all its materials and features that will be throwing in.
Can you guys answer this question. Are the radio volume/station selector controls on the front of the steering wheel? I saw all the cruise setup buttons on the left side. The right is the phone, heated wheel and a screen switch. I can't figure out the right side silver toggle icon. The left is answer/hang-up. The two buttons above it are voice command. Some GM"s have it on the back of the wheel. With the gear selector and paddle shifters, getting tight on space.
very interesting shooting location. much better than bland parking lot.
Love this intro
For the vehicle: Reverse lights are useless to non-existent.
Hate the auto-rear lift. If I just stand there, then it's going to lift without me wanting it to?
2.5L I-4? ugh. should have gone with a 4.7L, maybe even 5.0L
Its a Chevy!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy today this RS for $54K or buy in two years for $27K.......and yes, you will always feel like you are in a Chevy
My biggest question with any vehicle is how is the sound from the outside of the vehicle... I hate my current vehicle when I'm on the phone and have to make sure the volume is very low or everyone on the outside of the vehicle can hear my conversation. So does it have a good sound proofing?
Maybe swap the Santa Fe for this one
You guys should review Buick enclave
I see GM still rocking silver push buttons on the door handles rather than the more advanced and aesthetic touch sensors... Details matter...😢😅
I'm guessing that maybe GM is saving the fancy features for the GMC and Cadillac versions. But push buttons are fine with me honestly.
I’m sold
Couldn’t wait any longer with all the delays. Went with a Yukon instead. 👊
Used to love the new look of the traverse until I noticed the front end looks like a flat ducks beak from the side profile.
Not crazy about the shark fin side design and I'd never buy a 3 row family hauler (or full sized pickup, for that matter) with a 4 banger. Too much vehicle for too small and engine long term, IMO.
@20:00 is my fav part of this video, i mean who understands 3300L capacity anyway? bring it in understandable units. good job!
I love it 🔥
Head up display, Rear sun shades, heated 3rd row seats, interior color choices, Nappa leather seats, massaging seats, driver seat thigh extension, Harmon Cardon stereo system, etc. etc. Chevvy Traverse RS $58,000.00 + nope Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy $54,000.00 yep* Oh, yeah, a much better warranty.
I agree. They skimped out on some critical features, considering the price.
and the same mpg with a normal 6 cylinder...got mine in dec for 51,000 with discount
They want you to buy the GMC, Buick or Cadillac for more money. Hyundai/KIA have always been the best value.
Great point and I imagine the new palisade will be larger to further compete. Crazy how this doesn’t at least offer HUD
If you want a HUD just get its brother the Acadia. Can option one on the base Elevation trim for under $50k
that sunroof shade took 17 seconds to open
Hate that it’s only black interior. Kia has had success by offering terracotta and lighter interiors to provide a more luxurious experience. Wish Chevy would have followed suit or at least carried the high country over.
that's all their worth! some nice interior 😂
when are you releasing the Z71 version review
Will this be reliable long-term?I'm thinking of this when it comes out or a used 2020-2023 gx
The 2023 GX was recently ranked the number ONE most reliable vehicle on sale last year by Consumer reports. Cant beat that in terms of reliability. It’s also very boring and tiny compared to this traverse though.
Any info on when these will be available?!?! I have been impatiently waiting to get one!
Some dealerships are receiving units right now!
Had a Traverse 2015. Was a work horse. Never had any issues. Only did brakes and one burnt headlight in 7 years. Of course they require oil change religiously. GM built quality and safety is way superior than its rivals.
Domestic quality? It's still garbage.
Yes, I still see many of the older Traverses on the road!
Beautiful.
It's like looking at a design from a generation ago. The design should have been developed one more generation.
When will it be out for sale??
Gm nailed this one - including the acadia , the enclave ? Kinda meh the exterior but interior is the best of three
I think the Enclave is beautiful in and out
Ambient interior lighting?
That’s a mini Tahoe 😳😳 🔥🙌
Chevy Gang!!!!🔥🔥🔥
does it come with the check engine light on like all chevys?. i had a bunch ..not anymore. Toyota is the way to go .
Whoever can't effort to get bmw X7 now this is the one which is almost 90% cloned from BMW x7 , I am the one Love x7 for my kids but now i can get this One home in couple of months. Love it so much, there is none of this segment looks like this and power train too MPG is best
The high, squared off front end of the new Traverse appears to create a gigantic blind spot ahead of the driver.
Does the second row come back up with power? I only saw it go down.
It only an electronic release switch so you have to push it back upright
When will it be out in market?
They are arriving at dealers right now
No retractable sun shade for the 2nd row? They’re ignoring the demographic for the vehicle entirely.
The all ("New") Chevrolet Traverse is the best in the segment. I really love the entire vehicle, (in and out)... I believe GM hit a home run and others will be running to catch up.
Oh how I wish it had the 3.0 diesel option!
😂😂😂 Either he's a really small built guy or that truck is huge! Chevy is killing it!! Yea it does looks a lot bigger
This is nice but I don't think the reliability is going to be as good as the Toyota Grand Highlander.
Both are sporting new powertrains, so neither is proven yet.
@@lilred1107 wrong, Toyota's is already proven.
@@kobbycrentsil2859 Think whatever you want...
How is heads up display not an option at least!!?????? And also gm needs to offer the rear infotainment systems like the tahoes and Yukons missed a mark there
Nobody has cared about rear seat infotainment for like 10 years. Everybody just uses tablets and phones now.
2:22 taillight design straight from the Toyota Sienna
Does it have heads up display?
No
Long the comfortable, big jelly-bean of the class, Chevy obviously was tired of this being the "ok" option of the class. They really did a phenomenal job on the design, which is tricky because Chevy had to bridge a very thin thread on injecting sporty design but also not offend the core audience of who would by this vehicle.
I LOVE the quasi-shrunken Tahoe/Silverado styling overall. The interior no longer feels like a penalty box(although aside from the larger screens, I wish Chevy would've gone even further. This is why Ford gave the Explorer and Aviator completely different themes, something GM should've done with the Traverse while also protecting the upper-crust Acadia)especially considering the environment of the other big CUVs of the class like JGC Summit, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, and Mazda CX-90, but it is super spacious with all of the required technology.
While the reliability is still up in the air on a new platform, I think Chevy has a hit, especially considering the markups I'm seeing on Toyota Grand Highlanders.
Just a couple of concerns for me: While I do appreciate more power, a 19/24 MPG is about what the new Ram Hurricane I-6 offers...on a full size pickup. Downsizing doesn't appear to have done the Traverse any favors. I also believe that is behind the more powerful and equally big Toyota GH HybridMax. I also believe Chevy should've at least considered bringing back the Premier variant, as many buyers would prefer the luxury without the RS's blacked-out theme(and red accented interior, mandatory)....and w/o the GMCs price tag.
-Why would Chevy need a Premier trim when they have the upscale RS? These manufacturers are doing sporty blacked out trims because that’s what people want. Why “go further” with a Traverse RS from Chevrolet that’s not even a Premier or HC, when there are a total of 3 other models whom ALL of which sit above this Traverse within the parent company’s portfolio? (GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Cadillac VISTIQ).
-The Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, and the Cadillac VISTIQ all _do_ have their own separate themes and design philosophies. I’m not sure where you’ve been, but they look nothing alike. I think *gm* has done a very good job differentiating them from each other this time around. There’s nothing *gm* needs to learn from Ford nor Stellantis, especially not in this segment.
Anybody that can afford an RS can afford an Acadia if it has the interior that they prefer. That’s the entire point of offering them all with small price overlaps.
@@G-Rated they need to go further/add a Premier trim because not everyone wants their interior to look like its a Pep Boys special as can appear with this RS trim. That's it. That's the story.
**And yes, aside from screen orientation and slight trim differences, there isnt that large of a design difference between this and the Acadia. The Explorer and Aviator are completely different.
@@hellkitty1014 Again as most people would agree this RS trim is beautiful. There’s no need for a more expensive Premium trim, that’s what the Acadia and Enclave are for. This blows the Ford Explorer and Durango with V6 out of the water in nearly every regard except high performance, which very few in this segment are shopping for. The GMC Acadia looks completely different inside and out except for switchgear, and the Buick Enclave is another step above that putting the Grand Cherokee and Lincoln Aviator’s interiors to shame. I think that’s why you’re really trying to pick at *gm.*
There’s absolutely nothing *gm* needs to look back and “learn” from Ford or Stellantis, not in the luxury space nor the performance space. You can just hang that up.
Just checked Chevy’s website, an AWD RS starts at $58k?!? Jesus, I’ve been out of the car shopping game a while. That seems quite high, no?
Yes, this is positioned at the top of the class in terms of price
Not worth that kind of money. Better 3row options out there IMO
dealer mark up 😅
@@demetrictucker1664 nah man that’s the price from Chevy. Markup would be on top of this.
wuts goyng onnnn yootoob
Lame🤨
Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤
Puddle lights?
What can anyone say about the reliability of this new traverse? I hear older models had engine and transmission problems
This is a new engine for Chevy although the transmission is used in other products
Is it equipped with CarPlay?
Yes. Wireless.
Love the fact I got a CX90 ad before watching this.
Continuous screen without that button look similar to 2017 E Class and 2019 A Class Mercedes
