      @mintylynava Год назад

      @@Ifaeya Because someone needs to do it. They have to defend the alleged guilty to be able to defend the alleged innocent too. Also making it a fair trial allows it so that the ones that are guilty (hopefully not falsely though) cannot appeal the verdict. The law area is already very complicated thing, and we need to allow a fair trial for everyone, because even now people are getting falsely convicted. Imagine how it would be if no one is getting defended, it would make it another witch hunt where everyone gets stoned. Of course there is the "corrupted" defenders that don't care about who they are defending, but many do care and try to defend the alleged innocent ones. I wouldn't be able to be a lawyer/attorney either, because I'm too emotionally charged to be fair.
      Edit: Also sometimes it's not even about if the alleged is guilty (when it's an obvious one like in this case), it's about how severe the verdict is aka, life/death sentence or multiple years. Obviously he is guilty with so much evidence and I hope he got the sentence he deserved or even more.

    Omg. This is beyond reprehensible. I do hope that the assailant learns a lesson and should no longer have anything to do with Kpop. When simping goes too far, you know exactly why the hell there are cons when it comes to admiration.

    i wish everywhere would start taking stalking more seriously. it shouldn't take 'attempted murder' for something to even begin to happen. stalking needs to be illegal.

    cases of stalking and obsession shouldn't be taken lightly... the more and more stories i hear about korean/japans justice system gives me more disappointment each time. they're laws are a joke, criminals are let off so lightly its disgusting

    The fact that the police didn't believe her that she was getting threats by someone in social media, but now.She's in hospital suffering and living the worst.If police helped,she would have been much safer.

    That's not a sasaeng, that's just normal Japanese culture
    On top of that Japanese police being completely inactive in case of stalkers or rape is just the usual thing
    Heck Japanese justice even acquitted rapists because "there's indeed rape but he was too drunk to understand there was no consent"

    Idol culture is based on creating a captive obsessive audience who can form a pseudo-romantic relationship with the idols. This brings money for the companies, but makes the idols suffer due to inhuman restrictions on their personal freedom to make her available for the fans. Not sure what governments have done to stop this.
