I have added extra drainage holes to existing pots!! The ones that come with the pot sometimes aren’t enough for the soil to drain 💚🌱

@@candicecrawford2996 Hi! And Welcome!! I know exactly what you mean and I agree. I have done that too! Without drainage, our plants would not do well. Thanks for sharing!! 😃🌻

I wonder why you chose to plant in buckets when you have the use of the soil. Please enlighten me.

Hi! And Welcome!! I appreciate your comment and I hope that my response helps you. While growing in the ground is one of the options people do have to grow their food, my intentions for sharing this content is for multiple reasons. One of them being that approaching this method allows you to control the nutrients in your soil to give you a better success rate for what you are growing because sometimes people do not have good soil, and they may feel as though they have no alternatives or solutions. Another good use for this method can be for people who do not have soil in their ground, and also who might live in an area, like renters, who have no way of planting in an area that has soil. Thanks for sharing!! 😃🌻

      Yes 2,3, & 5. Thanks Candice!! 😊
And yes, when it comes to buckets, you definitely are going to need to water more often as opposed to a deeper raised bed or inground. Have you tried mulching the top of your bucket to help retain the moisture?

@@user-qr5og5gg6i Some other things that I can think of to try and help would be what kind of soil did you use, how many hours of sun is it getting, and what time of the day do you water? And what plant is it?

Hi! And Welcome!! Yes I absolutely agree with you!! I just wanted to give another option to those that may not be able to plant in their ground, depending on the terrain or soil that they have or someone that may not have a whole lot of yard space. But great point!! I think growing in the ground is another great option! 😃🌻 Thanks for sharing!!
