    My squash and zucchini plants always put out the male flowers first… I just pick them off. Pick the first few male flowers off the plant and then the female flowers will come on out. That’s been my experience anyway. Gorgeous looking garden!!! Thank you for your videos. ❤

      Hi!! And Welcome!! 😊 I never thought of that! My guess is that it probably puts more energy into the female flower coming instead of all the male flowers. That is such a great idea!! I’m going to go and do that. Thank you so much for sharing!! And thank you for watching I have really enjoyed sharing my garden with others and helping in anyway I can. ❤️🌻

      @@TheAftermath502 Hi! And Welcome!! Thank you so much!! I did the same thing and I’m waiting for more females. Some have succumbed to vine borers unfortunately, but I replanted so hopefully I will get a decent harvest!! I’m so glad this has inspired you. I plan to share garden tours at least once a month maybe even twice because there’s so much going on in the garden. Happy gardening.!! 🌻💝🌻💗😃

    I love adding lemon grass in soups that call for lemon pepper. Since you're going to freezedry them, make seasoning blends.

    You can use the lemon grass leaves for tea - dehydrate or freeze dry. The stalks can be used in Thai soups and you can freeze them as well. Happy gardening!

    Don't take the suckers off. My Idea is to use the tomato horn worm. They trim tomato plants, turn into moths that pollinate and leaves more fruit. Especially on a well fertilized plant.

    I’m in SC I have harvested our tomatoes already. I’m on my second round of planting tomatoes. And other gardening plants. Your garden is beautiful so dark healthy plants. It has been so hot here this summer.

      Hi! And Welcome!! Thank you so much!! ☺️
      And very nice, I hope you get a huge harvest!! Now that I’ve already posted my garden tour. It seems like my tomatoes are starting to turn red and what I’ve been doing is once I start to see red or a blush of pink. I take them off so that it can give energy to the other tomatoes. I’m hoping for a huge harvest this year. And that’s great that you’re already starting your second planting. I can’t believe I’m already having to plan the fall garden… time flys! And I know what you mean it’s been extremely hot here in Alabama too! As much as I love the summer garden I’m looking forward to cooler weather! 😃🌻

      @Mustardseedhomesteading  Месяц назад +1

      @@saminairfan45 Hi! And Welcome!! I’m glad you are, thank you! I am zone 8B in Central Alabama. The neem oil spray helped a little bit when I first sprayed it, but I think it’s something that needs to be sprayed continually maybe every couple days or once a week. Just make sure that you dilute the neem oil and follow the instructions on the bottle because I accidentally put too much neem oil in the water when making the spray and it burnt some of my leaves. And I know what you mean 😢 I’ve been dealing with white flies all summer on almost everything. They are so bad this year. But you just do what you can. And now you have the fall garden to look forward to, which has a lot less pest pressure.😃🌻
