Tudor were originally simply re-cased Rolex with off the shelf movements. With the current offerings, in-house movements, and vast collections from pure tool watches like the Pelagos to classic style like 1926. Even 54/58 are reissues of Tudors from the past which many brands do to capitalize on the vintage watch craze. Remember Rolex/Tudor are owned by the Hans Wildorf foundation so both cut from the same cloth. I’m glad resources and attention is going to the more affordable/attainable of the two brands.
Now think how many years would you have to save for a rolex, tudor is simply more attainable than rolex , if youre really want one. Yes its expensive, but its not rolex expensive
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MAMACOO's watches are the most intriguing.
WatchCrunch at 0:03 vanquished the Tudor haters! Tudor has its own design language. Plus, Tudor is introducing new designs throughout the year! Tudor is a relevant brand that can hold its own! Kudos to Tudor.
Tudor fanboy here, but I've largely moved to GS as far as collecting. I do wear the shit out of my S&G, P01 and Bronze as dailies. Met a fellow Tudoristi up in the trails, so I am glad these watches are being used as intended. Morevover I think Tudors will patina better as they get bashed about as they already look old lol. Of the new pieces, the Blue Chrono is probably next to acquire.
I too am a TUDOR lover.....after your top 3 for 2024, I was a bit disappointed.....but then you had the honorable mentioned BB41 Heritage - both in Burgundy and MonoChrome. So you saved the day. I own the BB41 Heritage in Burgundy, and going to get the new BB58 GMT with Root Beer bezel.
Well, I have 2 in my collection of Tudor, one is the bb36 in blue I wear for the morning and the second one is the bb54 I wear for the cozy evening it's just so beautiful if you live in an area filled with tungsten light and you can imagine how the bb54 when that's light hits the dial 😍
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
that was incredible. what a beautiful watch and what great work you did on it!I love AMZWATCH watch!! Dream watch! Everytime I wear it, makes me feel amazing!
Picked up my Monochrome Black Bay on the 5 link bracelet 3 days ago to go with my Pepsi Black Bay GMT I've been wearing the last 4 years, it's soo much cleaner and easy on the eye.
I have the fxd mn 21. As soon as I saw the french military connection, the one piece titanium build and the fixed lugs Tudor had my wallet firmly in its grasp. I think the fxd is truly unique and quite different t from not just rolex, but anything else on the market
Tudor pink panther chrono along with the monochrome is probably my fav new Tudor. I love my Tudor harrods simply because of the green and gilt. I need to figure out how to purchase the Tudor chrono pink wanted to get one to mark a major milestone in the birth of my second child but seems to be scarce at any of the boutiques I check out.
I own the original Pepsi BB GMT on bracelet and leather strap as well since three years and 7 months ago. I still in love with it and really happy because everything works perfectly and it’s in great condition. Two months ago I tried the BB58 GMT and despite I know the watch overall is better (Metas and T-fit clasp), aesthetically I prefer the original one. To much gold on the new one and because my wrist, sits better the 41 than the 39. Great video and many thanks for sharing.
Love the pink chrono cos its cool , but my favourite is the s and g chrono black face version. Its just has a warmth about it , and the gold just elates it to a luxury level. Im not always a fan of two tone , but this version is just done beautifully with the brushed gold finish. They are big chunky watches , so its not one for the smaller guys. I love mine.
Cool choices Max, what is the blue Jacket you are wearing with the FXD it looks like the one Tudor have used on the advert for the new blue chronograph - you been moonlighting as a model for Tudor?! Cheers from England
I have owned and enjoyed three Tudors over the past 4-5 years and probably shouldn't have sold them especially the BB58 in silver. I bought them all from the same AD here in France and thought I was liked and held in some esteem by them as a result. So I asked them for a BB Chrono in pink. I'm sure they meant to be nice to me but their answer came across as a bit dismissive. Basically they said not a chance...
I bought that US navy pelagos a few months ago. overhang is quite noticeable though with small wrist. the problem with fixed lugs is, they're quite long. 55mm. That black bay chrono is sweet but they're pretty hyped right now. unavailable at ADs and sell for more than twice the srp.
My favourite Tudor is the 41mm monochrome. I tried on the Rolex sub a few months ago and then the Tudor last week and it certainly is a good sub- stitute 😜 A yes from me :)
Still enjoying my BB Pro, but the new FXD is really calling me. I see on the Tudor website you get a "complimentary strap". I wonder how well it fits. Hopefully its better than a velcro strap on a $4k watch.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the AMZWATCH has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
@@doperdr you have issues, dude. You leave nothing but hateful troll comments. Be positive, and treat people nicely. Being nice to others is free, and make earth a nice place.
One thing to add - Tudor chrono is a much better buy than a Breitling with a B01 as Tudor has upgraded the movement with a free sprung balance while Breitling uses a regulated balance for the movements in their watches.
Black FXD is a winner for sure. That coke GMT is their best offering in that range for me but I'm just not into the GMTs. But when it comes to the chrono...There's a new Blue dial Blackbay Chrono coming soon and I think that would replace this pink Chrono hands down for me on this list. For me that's my favorite of the chrono colorways.
1 error: BB Pro came out in 2022; was hoping for a wht dial this yr. Maybe next. The GMT Coke is amazing- great combo of modern and vintage. I don’t understand why you obsess w the dial size; lug to lug is key. I have the 41mm Opaline and it’s fine on my avg sized wrist. You shouldn’t even mention the ‘poor man’s’ slight - doing so gives it credence it doesn’t deserve. Great value for money.
These are all cool watches but if I were to own multiple tudors it just feels wrong to not have one of them in blue. FXD MN and the new chrono are the ones for me
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Tudor is its own thing…cue constant referrals to vintage Rolex! Catalogue apes Rolex, designs ape vintage Rolex. I tried on the new monochrome, and it is a nice watch, but then I like the submariner so of course it's nice. Its good that they are offering affordable Rolex designs under a different brand. You can already get most of the Tudors fan boys are crying out for….5 digit reference Rolex delivers the coke, 14060m delivers the monochrome…nearly everywatch has a direct reference in neo vintage. Hats off to the Pelagos, for offering something slightly different, although it not exactly revolutionary in an over crowded dive watch market.
There will never be any revolutionary designs coming from Tudor as its designs are meant to appeal to the main stream. The brand will always be diver centric as this is what historically it’s known for. Watches that served professional and military divers. You can’t separate Tudor from Rolex they are cut from the same cloth.
You’re spot-on in your assessment other than the Pelagos 39 which is terrific. It’s the Ti Submariner for half the price. I sold my Rolex Cermit & no date Sub (at the height of insanity) because I like the Pelagos better. It shares time with my 42mm Explorer 2 as my daily wear. Tudor is phenomenal and currently I prefer their designs to Omega. Other than my Sinn U50 SDR, I only currently only wear my Rolex timepieces and Tudor Pelagos.
I own two Tudor watches. They are one of my favorite brands, and frankly more innovative than Rolex for a number of years. Rolex produces nice watches that are, in my opinion, over priced, and largely unchanged for decades. Sure, they tweak sizes and occasionally do a limited release dial, but their main product line is fairly static in its design language. Tudor takes far more risks and the decision making in the design department has been stellar. Meanwhile, Rolex is selling basic subs for well over 10 grand and a some are closer to 15. These are 904L stainless steel watches. Is it that much better than 316L? Not to me. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on a watch Ill buy a JLC reverso and get far more for my money. Or Ill spend less than half that and get another great Tudor watch.
Tried on the Pelagos FXD in a local AD recently. It’s nice but somewhat muted/underwhelming to my eye. Definitely has the tool watch feel, but honestly I’d just get (another) Seiko dive watch if I needed (another) dive watch that I wanted to use as a back up for diving. And that strap is way too long for my 7 inch wrist - didn’t like the Velcro running almost all the way up to the watch head and the strap was overlapping at the end. Shame, because I liked the images of this watch. That said, unlike Rolex, it’s nice to drop by an AD and be able to try on/buy so many Tudor models! I’m just holding out for a white dial/polar BB58 GMT or BB Pro (with the thinner GMT movement)…🤞
Some of the watches I really like from Tudor I just can't get myself to buy due to no date. I'm so used to having a date that every time I wear my ony watch without one I'm filled with mixed feelings becase I love the watch but it doesn't serve all purposes I need
The new Black Bay 58 GMT may be "controversial" to some, but to my eye it's absolutely beautiful in the metal. On wrist it wears remarkably well- although I prefer it on the rubber strap vs the bracelet. As for the whole "poor mans Rolex" thing, I own and enjoy both a Submariner and an Explorer II, and I never look at the BB 58GMT and think it's a "poor substitute" for Rolex. Tudor is a great timepiece these days, and stands on it's own.
Who do I have to end in order to get a BlackBay Chrono Pink? I’ve walked into a dozen Tudor shops with the money burning a hole in my pocket but it sucks that the watch is so limited. Of course, this week Tudor came out with the new Chrono Blue, which looks awesome. But you can only buy it at a Tudor boutique. Regular ADs are not getting it. I think I want one but there isn’t a Boutique anywhere near me. Then there is the Chrono S&G. I’ve never been into gold watches but this has enough black in it to grab my attention. I’m a life long New Orleans Saints fan so it fits that aspect of my life as well. Both the bracelet and the leather strap look great on it too. The $8K+ price tag is the only thing giving me pause.
You have to get on the list - helps if you’ve got a purchase history - for the new models. Because the pink isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, they’re probably not making many.
@@WestCoastAce27It’s interesting because Tudor was saying they were going to make very few of them. But now it’s shown up in the catalog. I’m on the list at both of my local ADs but there is a line. I’m pretty sure one of the ADs is just BS’ing me. The other is legit and has offered me a Rolex Daytona in the past (God I wish I had the cash for it back then) so I’m sure they’ll give me a holler if one does become available.
Watch are the ultimate Men's accesories!Enjoyed watching your collection. Keep going! As a watch enthusiast and watch reviewer, I can say MAMACOO this was a great choice. Enjoyed your video!
I've accept that the black bay line is just vintage/neo-vintage rolex homage and one could argue it still is a poor man's rolex, granted at great quality and value for money...but the design is apparent front black bay divers to the pepsi, coke, and pro. The burgundy bezel is more original which is cool. And the new monochrome is a more modern rolex sub homage. Thr BB58 line is all homage, to include the BB54. The modern-day Tudors with original design language is all Pelagos, calling back to the older tudor subs. I traded my black bay pro.(and Cartier Tank must) in for a new explorer 36. The heft/thickness and lack of originality finally got to me with the pro. If I were to get a tusor again, it'd be a Pelagos FXD. The BB chronos have a bit more originality and don't rip all their design from the daytona, and the new pink and blue are cool and more original than the classic panda and reverse panda. The smooth bezel black bays are a DJ/OP hybrid...they look great but still not totally original.
Yes, it's too much gilt. Just makes it look cheap in my opinion. I think the 41mm tudor pepsi looks way better and fresher, but as you said, it's huge!!
Tudor is now its own thing. I hope the brand continues to develop and offer watches enthusiasts love.
Agreed!
Hey Max, as stated your opinions are your own. I just happen to agree with many of them! Wishing you & all a great weekend! ✌️

it can't be it's own brand,if it keeps trying to remake rolex old models. They should 360 abandon any rolex design language
If Tudor is Rolex for the poor, why I still need to save my payroll for 2 years to buy one Ranger then?
Now think how many years would you have to save for a rolex, tudor is simply more attainable than rolex , if youre really want one. Yes its expensive, but its not rolex expensive
Because you are poor :(
Bro what? Why so long…? I’m piss poor and only have to save for 1 week…
There you go. You said it yourself. Tudor boys gotta save whereas Rolex boys go buy it right away😊😂
You see now who is poor 😅
Tudor is still a luxury brand and will therefore have a price premium. There are many great non luxury brands that are more attainable.

The other is legit and has offered me a Rolex Daytona in the past (God I wish I had the cash for it back then) so I’m sure they’ll give me a holler if one does become available.
Price point is too much even for middle class, they purchase max $800 watch

Blackbay 58 GMT needs to bring out a jubilee bracelet. My prediction is if it becomes a hit... they will bring out different colorways.

Bell & Ross watch brand next Video please 🙏
Black bay 54! All the great things of some of your mentions but in a great wearable size.
