Oh man, it’s crazy how nobody at that airport knew the scope of the catastrophe that was unfolding just on the other side of the Atlantic. The internet wasn’t as readily accessible like it is today. You couldn’t just pull out your phone and see it in full detail. No one there truly knew how lucky they were to be alive.

it's incredible isn't it? all these people so defensive but how can we blame them? they probably didn't understand the gravity of the situation (unless, of course, it was 9/12 and they had the time to turn on the TV).

@@kiddomoroll I don’t know if count your blessings is a saying in the uk, but it certainly is here in the us. And that’s the lesson of this whole episode.

It's wild to see people's behavior the day of and after. The weight of it wasn't really known and of course if something is not in your country people think that it doesn't effect them.

I was living in London at the time as a child (I’m a US citizen). I remember seeing this on tv. My parents crying, everyone crying. Knowing my aunt/uncles were in the police & tactical swat department in DC so they’d be called out to save ppls lives & we had no way of knowing if they were alive. We had family everywhere in that area not able to contact. My friend that was with us, he uncle was a firefighter in NY. He died saving others because that was his job. This is why I hate war & just wish we could try diplomacy first bc if any of these ppl said this to anyone in the world that has fallen victim to a terrorist attack (no matter the country). You pray for them.

Apparently, these passengers are self centered. It is not the employees fault. WTH

i mean i always knew the british had a reputation for not being sentimental, have a stiff upper lip, and keep calm and carry on and all that, but some of these passengers behavior just feels downright bleak.
