  • I reviewed the new Acebeam E75. This is a quad-led (Nichia 519A) flashlight with excellent build quality and performance. Looking for a solid EDC light? Make sure you watch my video to find out more.

    Acebeam E75 Transcript:
General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
    • I love the overall look and feel of this light - smooth anodising and perfect machining. Great colour choices too.
    • The beam quality and profile is my favourite thing about this light. It's very difficult to get a focused hotspot with these quad LED lights. Most companies just chuck a TIR lens in it which creates a floody beam. Acebeam uses a quad-smooth reflector.
    • Comparisons: Convoy S21F, Sofirn IF25A.
Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel and reflector:
    • Top quality machining and anodising. I like the different colours you can choose from. They're tasteful and still low-key. The side switch is made of metal and requires a firm press to activate. Acebeam has also used anodised, square-cut threads which are smooth and easy to thread. This was not the case with my P16. No clip issue as well - it sits below the tail cap and is screwed into the body. Strong magnet in tail cap.
    • My version has 4x519a LEDs producing 3000 lumens, but you can get a low CRI 4500 lumen version.
    • The bezel is a nice addition - not sharp and is handy if you need to break a window. Glass lens with a quad smooth aluminium reflector under the lens.
    • Takes any 21700 cell, flattops and button tops. Onboard charging.
    UI - modes:
    • ML, L, M1, M2, HIGH, TURBO + STROBE
    • Click and hold for ML from off. Double-click anytime for turbo. Triple click for strobe.
Performance - total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality:
    • CCT, CRI, Ceiling bounce test
    • Nice high CRI beam profile. Plenty of spills and a perfectly circular hotspot. There is an 'overlapping' pattern around the edges of the beam but not really noticeable, especially outside.
    Considerations:
    • Can't turn off the auxiliary lights near the side switch.
    • Additional tail switch would have been perfect for tactical functionality/momentary mode.
    Verdict:
This is an amazing general-purpose flashlight that you can EDC - it is a bit larger but the 5000mAh cell will give you extended runtimes. It's a pleasure to use and the light has impressive brightness and throw, given the high CRI LEDs.

I haven't finished watching at this point, but that extra usb c gasket needed some immediate praise! I wish all my lights came with one

I haven't lost a gasket yet but I get it'd be useful haha.

Great review! The 4 leds clearly put out some lumens. I do like my ts25, which is a quad led, I believe. It's the anduril and the coloured aux lights that help sell it for me, though.

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  Год назад +1

Anduril is actually very decent on these multi LED, general use lights. Better control over stepdown temperature is what sells it for me. But it does complicate things too and it's not the best UI for beginners. Thank you mate.

@DarrenYeoYT I'm still a beginner haha. But the simple UI is pretty easy and while a lot of the advanced functions are gimmicks... I really like those haha. I haven't set my temperatures yet but a couple steps at a time

Like the green body color! I'm not a tail switch guys so the built is very nice! I have an acebeam k75...

It's a great light, not the brightest but there's a 4500 lumen version too with low CRI. The K75 is a serious thrower... I have a 3x21D on the way from Convoy that may be able to match it.

Best large EDC flashlight of 2023? It's such a good light. Exceeded my expectations.

Yeah agree, Tim! Has my favourite beam profile out of all the multi-LED lights I've owned.

I have the CW version, it is not as cold as I think, definitely not Olight cold. That said there is a tint shift between the hotspot and the spill with the spill having cooler color.

Nice! I normally get the CW version of these light - prefer the extra output as long as it isn't too bluish.

How's that compare to e70 high cri ? actually I don't like the design on this version 😢😢 e70 just looks fantastic and I like the tail switch more😢😢😢

E70 is a great choice too man. Similar specs but more of a tactical style. I want one myself :)

I just saw the new Olight seeker 4 pro is coming out Wednesday. I was thinking about getting it but it looks so much like Acebeam E75 I'm not sure it's worth having both. They're about same lumens, both quad nichia I believe and 21700. What do you think?

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  Год назад +1

Hey man, I got a sample of that seeker 4 Pro - the video will be released in two hours..! They're both quite comparable but Olight has more advanced features. You may not need them though.

@@DarrenYeoYT Okay thanks! Yeah I have the E75 already so I'm probably gonna pass this time. I wish Olight had the baton 3 pro max in green and either neutral or warm. I like that one but they only come in black and orange with neutral.
