- Footholds and submersion sets can be a very effective to tool to have the bag for beaver management. Wether it is a location that is not suitable for a body grip or dealing with a body grip shy beaver it is helpful to know how to use footholds and submersion sets. In this video we go over the basics while on the trap line and explain how these sets work, how to identify appropriate locations, and how to dress up the final set. The next day we're rewarded with a 40lb river beaver after our first days check and demonstrate how to remake the set with changing water level conditions.

You and your wife make the best instructional videos for fur harvesting. Awesome video.

Just found your channel guys. Former NH resident, now living in northeast North Carolina. Just heard Brent Reaves plug you all on his 8/16/24 “This Country Life” podcast. Great content. Keep it up!
great demo, thanks for sharing.. I use an old tube from a big truck tire, and make bags
I’m addicted to your YT shorts! I love these type of videos i always wanted to learn how to hunt and skin, keep it up!
Don’t stop making videos! Keep the tradition alive
First of all that is a really good back foot catch GOOD JOB!!
I use rebar T stakes to hold my submersion sets in place. I usually stake the cable and hook the slide to the T stake then I launch the weight out into the water. Last thing I do is set and attach the trap to the slide. That way I can easily get the wire tight and not have to try multiple times. Once you get the weight out in the water you can even pull the rebar stake and adjust for placement and tightness too. I just cut some 36” sections and welded a 8” to 10” handle on each one. Keep up the good work! I like seeing how other trappers do their sets.
Very throughly explained, nice job
Making that bear grease hat proud, man! Great video
Thanks for sharing, nice information. Really enjoy your videos. Nice Beaver 🦫
We had one that kept getting out of our footholds no matter how we sat them deep, shallow whatever he would get out! So we ran the drowning cable through a staked 330 and when he got in the foothold and dove POW we got him in the 330 too and he didn’t escape!!!
Отличная работа
Badass man thank you very much
Добрый день, фотоловушки используете в охоте на бобра?
What hog rings do you use hooping beaver
Take the heal of your wadders and step down flatten out a trap bed or add mud if rocks are in the way. Stick won't stop the trap from shifting with waves.
