Gotta respect how David is fluent in Spanish too - always get a kick out of that. Tinto and arepas or empanadas = best breakfast (or midday snack) lol.

Panela basically sounds very much like jaggery water. In India and Pakistan we make cold drinks with jaggery water- gurh sharbat or cook rice in it - gurh ke chawal. Never seen a hot drink made of jaggery. Very interesting.

Correction: That restaurant she took hiim to, is ONE of only TWO Colombian restaurants that is not your typical roasted chicken or bread store. There are not that many Colombain restaurants ( Only 2 ) despite having 400 thousand Colombains in the city.
