I absolutely love these replacement laces for my wading boots! The stock laces always seem to fray and break a couple of months after the first use. These Obenauf laces rock! Thank you to everyone for your support!
Great tip! After years of experience with laces on hiking boots, I purposely stayed away from laced wading boots knowing that wet laces have an even greater propensity to break. Boa systems rock and was happy to see Simms come out with them a few years back, however they are not fool proof either. Good news is Boa warranties any broken wires and I always carry a set of repair kits just in case. Only had one pair break so far, most likely due to use in salt water.
Thank you so much! Yeah, I have gone through at least 2 pairs of laces every season. I wish wading boots came with bulletproof laces. These laces have lasted and lasted, even through multiple pairs of boots lol. Thanks again!
I just bought these the other day because I just happened to see them and once you take them out of the package you instantly can tell how strong they are lol.
You convinced me, I just ordered a set of these laces for my Thorogood Wedge boots. My needs are far below yours so I'm thinking I should be covered for a good while to come. BTW... I could eat trout or salmon every day of my life! I have a dill-crusted salmon recipe that will make you quiet after the first bite. I've seen people leak a small tear of joy.

Dave, what length of lace are you using? (I'm ready to order...They show 54 inch for 6 inch high boots, 63 inch for 8 inch high boots etc...)
I use the 72 inch for ky Simms G3 boots :)
Your boots could use some Obenauf's oil.

Are they stretchy like some laces? They may have Kevlar.
They are not stretchy at all... super strong and durable ;)
These things smell like horse shit but they're legit.
