@dutchmusician1 Do you by chance what is the difference between the 1724/25/32 and the 1739 version? Because I know that in 1739 Bach changed a bit the music in numbers 1-10. But I can't understand the differences between the different versions of this aria!!! There should be three versions, this is the 1749 one. Thanks :)
I have read that this should be the last version of this aria, which Bach edited and performed with the changed text after 1747. Starting from the first performance in 1717 in Gotha, Bach performed this Passion at least five times, modifying it in some parts both in the texts and in the instrumental ensemble, to adapt them to the various circumstances.
One of the best performance I've ever heard! Thanks for posting!
Midori-san is really beautiful singer, wish to hear her live performance as quickly as possible!!
Mr. Suzuki, Thank You!

You mean the part, where in the discription it says "mein Heiland, mein Licht."? There's no mistake in what she's saying.
鈴木雅明、偉大な方ですね!!!!
wow her German is great.
@iSteven00 It really is!
@bloodtypebloodtype because she's saying "Mein Heiland, mein Licht", not "meine lieben..."

This is either a very different version ... or else the evangelist is makeing up the notes!... .. I prefer what bach wrote for the evangelist part.
