Here's a video of me recreating Forest of Illusion 2, one of the levels from Super Mario World. This level was created in Super Mario Maker 2 by me on the Nintendo Switch & all footage was recorded at 1080p & 60fps.

This level gave me a lot of trouble on SMW for a while, so I stopped playing it. Then I went back to it some time after and I did it without much trouble.

I really love the background music of a slowed down yoshi’s island theme it really fits with the water theme (and yoshi’s island was one of my childhood games so i’m a bit biased towards that game)
If only they added the option to implement a secret exit... ._.

Ice Kokoro prob in Mario maker 4 cause I think Mario maker 3 trailer will be Mario 3D world and it will say SUPER MARIO MAKER 3 and then a D appears next to the 3 and makes it 3D and then the level is 3D

When you wanna play Mario world but then nintendo online is gone from you trail meaning you can’t play SNES CLASSIC
Nice to see the effort that was put into the level. It can really give you an appropriation for the time they put in.
I've always been trying ot find mario maker videos where they are actually making levels instead of playing
I recreated this level myself in MM2. Did it bit by bit while running the original level on a different machine. Unlike some SMW levels, it's not too big to fully copy the layout. Of course, you can't do every part of this, since the urchins aren't available in MM, and you can't get the correct color scheme, either. What I ended up posting, though, is a variation on it that isn't an underwater level. I called it "Who Drained The Lake?", and it gives it a different way through. I substituted Thwomps for the urchins and put a couple vines in spots where you can no longer just swim up. But the path shape is exactly the same. I even put the secret exit key where it originally appeared, but the key hole dried up...

I was afraid you use poww as a movile block and then I remember it didn't have practical use under water, I also like the bum bum as a churgin chuck

They should've replaced the urchins with spike balls.

@@blayeg8716 yeah they used spinys when they should've used spike balls instead. The orange just sticks out while the ball looks more closer to the original urchin
@Jesus Christ I agree since you can kill the spinies with the cape feather and fire flower, diminishing the whole challenge in the recreation compared to the original forest of illusion 2. You can’t destroy spike balls with either power-up, so there would still be a challenge
