I have a 1970 Torino with that driveshaft. It vibrated like crazy ANY time you put your foot on the gas. I believe the rubber on mine was shot. Had spicer U-joints front and back and the whole deal. It wouldn't fix it. Bought a new one piece steel driveshaft, and was smooth after that. Two piece driveshafts may have been great new, but 50+ years is a long time.
I have spent the last 4 years putting my 1966 Buick Wildcat back on the road. She's a fun old girl to drive, but has reminded me of how reliable new cars are. Sort of like, the older cars kept you on your toes.
That's a really cool car to start with. My first car was a '69 mustang fastback in 1981 and it was already in way worse condition than the car you're starting with. Watching you reminds me of myself back then. Just stick with it and you'll end up with a great car. subscribed.
@@valricogarcia oh there’s been more trust me but that’s the main focus right now, and it’s funny you say that because I was looking for a 69-73 mustang when I found it lol, but thank you!
@@cahosjunkyard Back when I was a teenager there was a muscle car on every street just sitting on someone's driveway. My friends & I would knock on the door & make an offer. Between all of us, I had a 73 gto for $400, Peter a 72 roadrunner for $300, Colin a 1974 Chevelle for $100, etc... Mind you they were all rust buckets 🤣🤣🤣, but they still drove with some work 💪😉. Those days are gone 😔.
@@christianheidt5733 I’d go back in a heartbeat and I wasn’t even there lol, my dad is older so I’ve heard many stories along those lines. But another Torino video will be out soon!
I really like that car, great body lines , stance and interior, cool dash to, would have liked to see the other work you did on it to, that car and your RUclips career both have really great potential, would love to see more vids on that car and others, ill be watching from BC, Canada
I F'ing LOVE that Fairlane/Torino Sportsroof! Coulda had one in 1982 when I was 16, but my worthless butt couldn't come up with $500. It was exactly like yours, but a 302 2V and C4, with the dreaded combination of bucket seats and a column shift.
Did you put a column shift trans in there? If so you will never get the linkage correct. I’m interested in that and the old boat tail. Where are you located at.
Ya may want to invest in a mic. I am not picking on you . Just telling ya nicely. I can't hear ya on your long shots . Doing a great job getting it on the road though brother
@@cahosjunkyard That's a great find. Your hidden oil leak is likely the main rear bearing seal, the 302/351 are known for it. Its a bit of a job to change, but that engine is well worth the work. Good luck the car and your channel and hopefully we get to follow your progress with it.👍
Nice car. One of my favorites of all time, even though I am a Chevy man. Keep working on it! Make some more videos on it.

Had a 68 Stang fastback gt with a 390 in it. Had chrome gt wheels. That thing needs some love for sure but it has good bones it seems.

Are you sure that it's pumping oil

Sometimes you have to change the Yoke on the driveshaft to lengthen it some🧐
