What will now almost certainly be my last train journey in England was taken (I think!) on a nice clean white 375 - first class up at the front end no less. It was the fist leg on our journey from Hastings, where we had lived for the greater part of our four and a half years in England, back to Australia, from where I write this and expect now to remain (74, still fit and well but no further wish to travel). Also filmed some 375s and 423s from lineside between St Leonards WS and Crowhurst in 2004...good memories indeed.
Nicely filmed and presented as ever. Presumably the 375/6s were provided with pantographs for potential through routes via Farringdon, but as that never happened (as far as I recall) and is unlikely to happen now I am surprised they have been retained. Also I have yet to work out the difference between the 375/7s and 8s. Anyone know?.
The Class 375 Electrostars are the most reliable trains in Kent. Working on outer-suburban and main line services in Kent and parts of East Sussex. Haven’t been on them but they do look much nicer in the Southeastern blue livery. As Bombardier built more electrostars including the Class 357, Class 376, Class 377, Class 378, Class 379 and Class 387. Bombardier could of continued with the Class 379 Electrostars to be used on the Southend Victoria Line, Braintree line, Sunshine Lines, Mayflower Line and Crouch Valley Line.
Also with the clip of Southeastern trains at London Waterloo. Do you think that Southeastern will use London Waterloo via the spur line and to operate services from London Waterloo to Dover Priory, Folkestone Central, Ashford International, Maidstone East or Maidstone West and Canterbury East or Canterbury West.
@@Andrewjg_89 Interesting idea. Has already been used during service disruption. I think it would depend on availability of service paths through Vauxhall to Waterloo however.
A thought about the pantographs is that Connex might have hoped to use them on HS1 services which are now the province of Javelins. 90-100 mph max would probably not have been acceptable however...
As always very well detailed like your last clips Boogies Trains and very informative.
Super video, interested in the rest of the series's. Well done 💙 stay safe 🤓💙
Excellent railway video as always Boogies Trains
Really good video well done

Great video
The fact that there was a timeline that is not far from here that the class 375 and the other Electrostars would all look like the class 357

I forgot the difference but try checking Wikipedia
The /7 have the older headlight arrangement while the /8 have the newer headlight arrangement.
Thank you for adding this information.
