@@BoogiesTrains Ah, so that disgusting power grab for the GLC went out that far! It wasn't enough for them to to absorb a whole county (Middlesex)... Still, Orpington is still addressed as being in "Kent", not London, I have noticed.
The London postal districts pre-date Greater London so quite a lot of London is still in the previous counties for post sorting purposes. The outer parts of the outer London boroughs remain very different to the inner boroughs.
Orpington station is a very busy station with Southeastern and Thameslink both serving the station. Also Southeastern have now got all 30 Class 707 City Beam trains as "707024" and "707030" have been transferred from South Western Railway and are now in service. With SWR to start introducing their new Class 701 Arterio trains on other routes before the end of this year or next year.
Great video.
These Orpington videos have been among the most interesting ones from outside London.
Pretty sure Orpington is in london mate 😐
Only since 1965.
@@boxedyourdad6276 Ah, I was going by postcode area...

Loved this. Thanks to your commentary it's like seeing a particularly tricky SimSig scenario played out in real life
Very cool seeing one train behind another. Signal blocks must be small around there lol
A previous video of Abbey Wood shows how close trains can be at slow speed under CBTC.
