Seems odd to have two and three carriage DMUs operating in and out of Marylebone (must be the only London terminus without electrification), but I guess there isn’t sufficient demand outside peak hours. I looked at the timings of Chiltern trains on Realtime Trains and it cannot be said that they’re speedy. A bit of investment needed I’d say.

@@buzzukfiftythree the shorter units are for stations with short platforms like the Sudbury's.
I'm getting old, the metropolitan branch to Stanmore has been Jubilee (45 years) for longer than it was Bakerloo (40 years)
