I'm actually really excited to have a Superman that's been through a lot of shit essentially mentoring this world's Justice League. I think New 52 Batman and Pre-Flashpoint Superman are gonna have a rocky start for their relationship, to say the least.

It's weird really. This whole time I thought that everyone hated the New 52 Superman and I've heard almost nothing but complaints about him. But ever since it was announced that he was dying and being replaced by the pre-52 Superman, more and more people have been popping up saying that they're going to miss him or that they preferred the New 52 version. I guess we don't realize what we have until it's gone.
LXinstk There've always been people who liked him, they just weren't anywhere near as vocal as the people who disliked him. I never really cared one way or another about him personally and always thought his stories were boring, but I do find it nice how many people actually did care about New 52 Supes.

Because they’re best friends, Wonder Woman was a girlfriend that was awesome but didn’t work, Lois was his friend and partner in crime, Lana was his first friend, but Batman is his opposite yet the same light and dark, day and night, man and knight, that’s why it hit you more emotionally

Jun Taiohara don't bother with checking it out......they just merged pre52 supes and new 52 supes because they were "split" (too cliché) and they basically said "Fuck your Superman mine is better" they just can't let go of the past....

I sense that the Solar Superman was a representation of the obsessive fan anger ready to destroy everything belonging to New 52 Superman with the attention to show how their Clark Kent is supposed to act. Ironically he was taken down by both new and old Sups, however they accomplish there goal by killing new 52 Superman with their uncontrolled anger leaving their pre 52 Superman to retake the red cape. New 52 might have been flawed but to me his actions always made him grew into a better hero, R.I.P. Superman.

But instead they decided to bring over pre 52 superman in a greatly convoluted way so they could kill new 52 superman, and replace him with pre 52 all so they could avoid doing what they were already doing for every other DC hero. I actually really enjoyed New 52 Superman. If DC wanted the Pre 52 Superman back then they should of made an alternate universe where everything was Pre 52. Instead they had to make their continuity an even bigger mess then usually is! This PROVES that DC has terrible decision making skills.

As much as I loved those shows, that Superman was not satisfactory for me. He was too hotheaded, not very smart, not nearly as powerful as other versions of the character, and was always injected with some contrived flaw in order to make Batman look good.
I felt they the plot with Solar Man was uneeded I felt the best parts was when they were having slow paced moments between characters like the Clark and Lana scene.
It's the same man. There wasn't 2 diff Superman.... when flashpoint happened it became the start of the New52, which took 10 yrs away from everybody, New52 Superman is just actual Superman 10 years younger, And actual Superman is just New52 Superman 10 years older.....read/watch Superman reborn. All of this will be explained a lot more so in doomsday clock..... Superman Just got all his memories back and remembered his true self and everything.
YaBoyTheC.I.B I thought N52 was okay, just not my favorite. Personally, the only Supermen I really care about are the ones from the Christopher Reeve movies and the Animated Series. But when it comes to the comics, I prefer the older ones because they’re a little more familiar to me.

I'm happy we got the old Superman. I'm not talking about the Golden age Superman. I like the idea he has a family. I think there would have been two Supermen, and they both be heroes. DC, would have to make some changes in there new Superman. All in all I think it would be a good Idea.

I don't know why or how but I love all superman's version and some of you guys who call yourselves supes fan don't like a version of him and like one of him like please explain this to me.
There are things the New 52 sucked at with Superman, but overall I did like the design better. And the fact he was basically "new" and "fresh" as a Superhero was great. We got to see him make horrible mistakes, and make up for them later, we got to see him go on a "hero's journey" and become matured rather than already being mature and knowing what to do. I enjoy the OG Superman, I was only pissed that they had Diana and Superman have a relationship instead of Superman and Lois Lane. That was not settling well with me. I feel with Rebirth they have been doing their best to mix-and-match their personalities... But I'll miss the New 52 Superman. I was angry they decided to just kill him off. Could have had older Superman help teach and raise younger Superman... But whatevs.
The New 52, and particularly Superman, was what got me back into comics in the recent years. Story arcs like Superman/Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Batman Eternal are what reignited my love of DC. While I love how Rebirth has been so far, I don't love that my favorite Superman is now gone. I guess all those Pre-Crisis Superman fans like it, but I don't.
It's really messed up how the New 52 Superman died because technically the yellow sun would of regenerated his cells which in turn would of caused his healing factor to heal his Kryptonite poisoning, and other injuries acquired during his adventures.
You are very correct and it appears the writer of Superman forgot this. Instead they decide to pull at your heart string with a poorly constructed story!
Good day @Lord Typh ! Thank you for replying! My issue is that the heroes should be allowed to evolve beyond their weaknesses. Superman in Man of Steel shows this when he was taunted by Faora and when he destroyed the World Engine! There is even in "Kingdom Come" where he becomes immune to kryptonite. Heroes should teach us always to adapt and evolve beyond any adversity and anybody that depower them to make the villain look strong, is LAZY! I was talking about New-52 Superman's death being because of multiple factors happening, as pointedo ut in the video (Kryptonite Poisoning, followed by a horrendously savage beating later to worsen his condition, and ending up soaking in the fires of Apokalypse) adding up to make something that he couldn't heal from.

I have an issue with the fact that there was no way for Superman to recover or evolve beyond these mishaps. This is Superman we are talking about! I understand that trials can take a toll, but I am very sure they could have done something to fix him, even at the last moment, there are powerful beings that could have spirited him away. which could have added to the suspense instead of doing another Death of Superman storyline to pull on readers heart strings. I was never a fan of Superman but this story showed that he was not invincible. He suffered super human stresses which took a toll on him. It was nice to see that there are consequences to his actions.
I started reading comics again recently so I missed most of the New 52 and I'm firmly entrenched in Rebirth, so I'm digging that the Superman everyone remembers is back, although New 52 Superman went out like only a Superman could.
I love that they brought Nuclear Man from Superman IV the Quest for Peace. All that was missing was nuclear man scratching him. Seriously though, this story really got me in the feels. I've only been reading the batman books in the New 52 and Darkseid War, so I come to Comicstorian to fill me in on the rest of the universe. This channel is goddamn brilliant. Been watching for a year now and only recently subscribed.

Honestly this was a favorite version of supes. He wasnt the boyscout anymore he was a warrior, he embraced his humanity more then my other superman while also knowing he belonged with the gods. Hope he comes back.

@@mayotango1317 actually it's the opposite Clark Kent was his disguise to fit in human society while Superman was him being his true self. It's the opposite of Batman who Bruce Wayne is his real self while Batman was his empowered persona

Killed off this continuity's REAL superman just to bring back boy scout superdad as a replacement at a time when he was beginning to fit the mold people associated with superman. Thanks angry fanboys. At least superdad stopped wearing the underwear too.

Couldn't agree more! New52 Superman was younger, had more potential for character development & I was all for SMWW pairing! Not this domesticated uncle clark!
I don't know why or how but I love all superman's version and some of you guys who call yourselves supes fan don't like a version of him and like one of him like please explain this to me.
There are things the New 52 sucked at with Superman, but overall I did like the design better. And the fact he was basically "new" and "fresh" as a Superhero was great. We got to see him make horrible mistakes, and make up for them later, we got to see him go on a "hero's journey" and become matured rather than already being mature and knowing what to do.
I enjoy the OG Superman, I was only pissed that they had Diana and Superman have a relationship instead of Superman and Lois Lane. That was not settling well with me.
I feel with Rebirth they have been doing their best to mix-and-match their personalities... But I'll miss the New 52 Superman. I was angry they decided to just kill him off. Could have had older Superman help teach and raise younger Superman... But whatevs.

The New 52, and particularly Superman, was what got me back into comics in the recent years. Story arcs like Superman/Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Batman Eternal are what reignited my love of DC. While I love how Rebirth has been so far, I don't love that my favorite Superman is now gone. I guess all those Pre-Crisis Superman fans like it, but I don't.
Post crisis I don't think anyone wants silver age Superman back.

It's really messed up how the New 52 Superman died because technically the yellow sun would of regenerated his cells which in turn would of caused his healing factor to heal his Kryptonite poisoning, and other injuries acquired during his adventures.
You are very correct and it appears the writer of Superman forgot this. Instead they decide to pull at your heart string with a poorly constructed story!

My issue is that the heroes should be allowed to evolve beyond their weaknesses. Superman in Man of Steel shows this when he was taunted by Faora and when he destroyed the World Engine! There is even in "Kingdom Come" where he becomes immune to kryptonite. Heroes should teach us always to adapt and evolve beyond any adversity and anybody that depower them to make the villain look strong, is LAZY!

I was talking about New-52 Superman's death being because of multiple factors happening, as pointedo ut in the video (Kryptonite Poisoning, followed by a horrendously savage beating later to worsen his condition, and ending up soaking in the fires of Apokalypse) adding up to make something that he couldn't heal from.

This only goes to show how the writer feels about superheroes, especial Superman. I have an issue with the fact that there was no way for Superman to recover or evolve beyond these mishaps. This is Superman we are talking about! I understand that trials can take a toll, but I am very sure they could have done something to fix him, even at the last moment, there are powerful beings that could have spirited him away. which could have added to the suspense instead of doing another Death of Superman storyline to pull on readers heart strings.

I actually got teared up great job.
I was never a fan of Superman but this story showed that he was not invincible. He suffered super human stresses which took a toll on him. It was nice to see that there are consequences to his actions.
and now that he's dead, the invincible one is going to become superman again. Let's be honest. People prefer pre-crisis superman anyways.
I started reading comics again recently so I missed most of the New 52 and I'm firmly entrenched in Rebirth, so I'm digging that the Superman everyone remembers is back, although New 52 Superman went out like only a Superman could.

I love that they brought Nuclear Man from Superman IV the Quest for Peace. All that was missing was nuclear man scratching him.
Seriously though, this story really got me in the feels. I've only been reading the batman books in the New 52 and Darkseid War, so I come to Comicstorian to fill me in on the rest of the universe. This channel is goddamn brilliant. Been watching for a year now and only recently subscribed.

Honestly this was a favorite version of supes. He wasnt the boyscout anymore he was a warrior, he embraced his humanity more then my other superman while also knowing he belonged with the gods. Hope he comes back.
