My husband got me this ladder with scaffolding, air deck, safety rails & platform. It has allowed me to level up my DYI’ing & has definitely made those projects hella safer with this clutz 👍👍 that scaffolding & platform are everything savers!
Just hot our in today and it's pretty awesome! Bought it to use for our Rv when we stay hone for long periods. I can attach it to the ladder on the Rv or just lay it on the bed when traveling. We ordered the smallest one for our Rv. Love the way it "livks" into place...it feels much safer. I only wish it had a top handrail of sorts to hold on to fir us older folks. Love the fact that it rolls too! Very happy with our purchase!
Can some of the new features be retrofitted on previous models? I am specifically interested in the leveling feature and the upper supports used for getting onto roofs. Thanks. We have had our little giant for many years and it is great.
I just got the new Little Giant Ladder M17, January 23-23 at Lowe’s in Salina, Kansas,With the wheels and the Leg’s Levelers. The Cost’s was $220.00 But it was $26.00 Cheaper with a military discount.
@@sparx2391 Depending on where you are using the levelers, we do recommend proper maintenance if they get mud or dirt inside. This could be as simple as spraying it clean when it's dirty as well as using a dry lube on the moving parts. Me, personally, I've had built-in ratchet levelers on my ladder at home for over 5 years and have never had issues with it not locking.
i was just wondering what is the height of the 3 ladders when in the a frame as i have a house that is aboput 12 feet i am 6ft so just wondering which one has the height of about 7 to 8 feet in the aframe postionas i will be painting the house on my own and the driveway has a slope i need a ladder that is safe working solo
Sorry for seeing this a week later!! in the A-frame position, the highest standing level is as follows: the M17 you can stand at 4'10", giving you a max reach of 11'4". The M22 you can stand at 6'8", giving you a max reach of 13'2" (sounds like this is the one you'd need). The M26 you can stand at 8'7" giving you a max reach of 15'1".
Just bought the model 22 it is awesome and perfect getting to my 10ft ceilings. Worth every bit of the money for it, many ladder heights all into one. Big thanks for making life easier working around our home, should have bought this it sooner.
May I ask when you purchased the Xtreme 22? The one that comes with the Safety Rails does use the same Trestle Bracket that can be used on the Leveler.
@@LittleGiantLadders I check too see if the trestle brackets off of my extreme 22 foot ,leveler and they will not fit so I will get some for the M17 Leveler.
in the highest a-frame level of a model 26, you're standing at 9'6". I don't know your height, but if we add our standard 5'6" person, that gets you to 15' to the top of your head. Then raising your arms gives you another foot, for a total of 16' reach on a model 26 Leveler. So I would say that it would be a great one to reach your ceiling!
You will love it. I'm very particular about being safe and this ladder is VERY SAFE and can be maneuvered to be on an unlevel surface. If you want that feature, the smallest one does not have it. Go up one size. I didnt need that and ours is simply for use with our Rv in a park. God bless you! Debra C, TX.
@@debrachittwood7696 I did buy one and it has been great. I used it to pick fruit at full extension over a fence on uneven ground. That would have been near impossible with a regular ladder.
That's a great question! You put the wheels at the top in extension for safety. If they're at the bottom people could potentially slip on them. It helps prevent user error.
So a model 26 in A-frame gives you about 8'7" standing height in the tallest possible a-frame. The smallest skyscraper (model 15) gives you the tallest standing height at 12'3". Between that, you could go with a Model 12 SENTINEL, which gives you about 9'7" standing height. May I ask what you are trying to reach?
Can somebody explain the differences between the 9 million various little giant ladders? What are the code names? Are some of them newer versions with a new code name? What the hell?
It can be overwhelming when you look at an entire list of ladders! It is definitely important to find the right one for you. Often when there is a new feature on a ladder, it's easier for retailers selling it if it has a different name than a different model of ladder. Is there a particular one you are looking for?
I agree with you, Little Giant needs to do a better job in defining the primary use case for each of the ladders..... It will help them sell more, and there customers make the right choice.
So in the tallest A-frame position, the M17 will be 7'6" tall, and the highest standing level is 4'10" (giving you about 11'4" max reach). The M22 in the tallest A-frame would be 9'6" tall, with the highest standing level at 6'8", and a max reach of 13'2".
The Leveler has ratchet levelers, while the Velocity does not. The Leveler uses a rapid-lock system, while the Velocity uses Rock-Locks to adjust the size. However, we do make a Velocity with ratchet levelers, and the major difference being the rock-locks vs the rapid-locks. Mainly, people have a preference on the style of lock - gloved hands prefer the rock-lock, while glove-free hands tend to favor the rapid lock. It all comes down to personal preference.
The main difference would be that the leveler uses rapid locks instead of rock locks, like the velocity. They're within 1 pound of each other. So, it's personal preference which you like more!

I can easily pick it up but it rolls. You don't have to lift it to move it. That's why they made it to roll. It's easier just to roll, just like in the video. I'd rather have a well made awesome ladder that a cheapo lightweight one. I can tell it's not a CHEAP MADE ladder. It should last a lifetime if taken care of. I LOVE it. The way articulating ladders are measured (and even extension ladders) is that the size of the ladder is based on the material standing end to end. (This is the standard, not something we invented) But the actual length will be shorter to account for the overlapping that is required in order for it to be a safe product. In articulating ladders, that is 1 foot on each side. It is important to know how high you are trying to reach so that you can get the correct ladder for your situation.
