I want everyone to know that Simon is just as amazing in person as he is in his videos. He won the Lost Valley Open today and did not neglect anyone asking for a signature. He even gave one of his discs to my buddy. He will forever be a legend in my book and Casey is following in his footsteps. Simon if you’re reading this - you are the man and we can’t thank you enough. Hope to play in a tourney with you one day.
Woah.. Quakertown shout out. Not often you hear your home town called out. To bad Nockamixon is closed... would have loved to see Simon play that course.
I might suck at disc golf, but watching Simon regularly is improving my demeanor on the course while I suck. Thank you Simon for being so positive no matter what.
Hole #3... “Are those just gone forever?” 😂. Great hearing your practice round thoughts, Simon... entertaining and educational for viewers. Thanks so much!! 😎
I liked the video when he said "This way guys, follow me!" Towards 7's tee pad. Fun to watch as usual Sir Simon. Thanks for walking and talking us through. And all kinds of love goes out to Gatekeeper Media. Keep it coming!
A buddy and i played this course about a month ago. you made this course look easy as hell. if your going to be in the area for another day or two check out Fort Washington state park. its tightly wooded course that will challenge anybody!!
Simon: Throws an awful drive into a corn field where he might not get his disc back. “You gotta love when that happens” Nikko in the same situation: “WORST SHOT OF MY LIFE! I HATE THIS GAME SO MUCH!”
A completely different type of video that I am used to seeing from any pro. I love hearing his initial opinion on every shot and what Simon is thinking about. A great change of pace from the fun videos that we usually see.
YESSSSSSS! Ana is back....I was thinking of setting up a bounty for that disc for you to get it back because it means so much to you! Thanks for being you Simon!
Simon struggling with his water bottle made me chuckle lol. F it I'll just carry it!!. this looks like a killer course to try out even for a beginner like me. good luck today simon!!!
Great video! One of my favorites from you (and the others are great too). Really liked to hear your thoughts on how to attack a new course and some great tips on top of that. A+
And I loved the other video as well at Gatekeeper Media's channel. Have to add that there where a bunch of funny moments too in both videos. Keep it up!
@@toivovenalainen1227 it was a joke from the jomez coverage round 1 because paul just happened to touch/scratch his back on camera after throwing a tee shot. He shot a pretty good second round so safe to say he probably doesn't have an injury
Saw you at south mountain on Thursday playing casuals, got any footage from that? so un real to see you out and about playing my home course, you the man Simon. 😎 get well soon.
Simon is such a smooth thrower with his form and body movements, I never knew until these mic’d up rounds how much he grunts haha. Guess the kinetic energy has gotta come out somehow
* picture of him when he fell on his ankle * Hey, my name's Simon I bet you're probably wondering how I got into this crazy situation, well it all started when I was practicing this course for the first time on camera. (Screen fades into flashback of that very moment)
So I don't know the first thing about disc golf, but started recently playing disc golf valley from watching your videos, looked like a pretty fun game, and just recently nailed a blind 377ft putt for birdie after missing a mando. It was Oak Hill hole number 7 in the challenge the valley section. I recorded the shot, if I could send the short video to you somewhere maybe you could give me a shout out and post in in a future video? Made the putt with the Musket disc, fairway 10
Instead of playing the course "blind", playing something "on-sight" is a pretty commonly used term in music, rock climbing, lots of stuff. There you go Simon ;)
8:55 actually its not against the rules to not have name on the disc, that disc is uniqly dyed and that falls into the rule. Its just so you can tell your disc from others on your card.
What a gorgeous course! While the monologue style of this video represents Simon's stream of consciousness, it simply isn't as entertaining as if there was someone along asking good questions. As an example, if Casey went along, but didn't play, then he could concentrate on asking solid questions, like maybe "Simon, is this a hole you would want to throw straight and fade hard at the end, or hyzer all the way?" This would then give Simon a chance to pretty much say what he would have anyway, but the question/answer format is simply less awkward, and therefore more entertaining. Well, just my thought on it anyway.
I told you she just got lost off the path, that she’ll find her way back home. 💪🏽 Edit: I need to go look 👀 for those 3 dank discs in the corn field. 🤣 #GreatVids🤙🏽
Come on Simon Left hand throw! It doesn’t take as much practice as you’d think. You won’t be bombing but for you 350’ controllable should be doable. Save you strokes on some holes and it would be a great couple videos of you learning to throw it. Bring on the entertainment. Happy throwing!
I don’t know if you’ll see this Simon, but I love your videos. You’ve inspired me to really dive deep into this sport and I really thank you for that. Keep up the awesome videos and keep on slinging them discs!
Ever try water training? Can you even throw a disc is the water? If so, will it flip faster because of the density of the fluid? Like in a swimming pool. I know a lot of high performance athletes train in the water.
Simon - I saw in the back 9 coverage that you lost your clear MD and dont have a back up. I have a brand new clear wing stamp MD if you want it. Just let me know where to send it.

Glad to hear that, he just seems almost too wholesome on camera ;)
I have meet Simon in person he is very nice guy to talk to a sweet person
What an awfully Nice and down to earth person he seem to be.. Really wanna meet him some day 😁🥏
Pro trick: you can watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Abraham Rhys yup, have been using flixzone} for months myself =)
Why is this my favorite video of Simon's that I've watched so far? It just seems so real
“No problems, just lessons.”
Always important to remember. Ultimately, the only opponent you really have on the course is yourself.
brian Cooke Are you saying that he’s playing with himself?
@@jennycraigadventures3314 well that's one way to put it.. haha
Woah.. Quakertown shout out. Not often you hear your home town called out. To bad Nockamixon is closed... would have loved to see Simon play that course.
ANNA!!!!! More excited for this than I am getting one of my own discs back.
Hahaha, that's so sweet of you
Simon trying to put his water bottle in his bag at 22:15 is me with my AX4 too xD
Great video bro ! I'll be there in a couple weeks ! can't wait 🔥 thanks for the tips take care much love
I might suck at disc golf, but watching Simon regularly is improving my demeanor on the course while I suck. Thank you Simon for being so positive no matter what.
Fun video Simon...like seeing your approach to each hole.
ha, i love that he said im only gonna throw one disc. by home 3 hes got 3 out there. great work guys
Hole #3... “Are those just gone forever?” 😂. Great hearing your practice round thoughts, Simon... entertaining and educational for viewers. Thanks so much!! 😎
I could watch videos like this nonstop. Love hearing the thought process working through the course.

This is like an episode of Black Mirror. Poor guy is just talking to himself while 3 or 4 dudes watch him silently.
Really like these videos. Simon,Paul,Broady all give good vids. While we wait for the next Tourney

Wish more top players would do this once in a while. If it fits their schedule. Enjoyed it. Will watch it again
Simon, 25% of your subscribers are here for you. 75% are here for Anna. You are both awesome.

Hole 4, making putts are always a good idea Simon!
It’s funny seeing this after I watched you do it for real today. Thanks for FULL SENDING it on hole 9, it was epic to witness such a crush irl!
What a gorgeous course!
Great insight to your shot selection in game, keep it up Simon!

Great commentary here Simon! Great for learning how to analyze and think about holes too.
That’s a beautiful course!
Hope you enjoy playing in the Lehigh Valley. I just missed you when you played South Mountain on Thursday. Hope to catch you Sunday at Steel Club!
OMGoodness!! You got Anna back!?! So glad!

He is fine. Watched him play a 1071 round today.
Simon injured and now Mcbeth with back injury. 2020 is worst.

So happy you got that disc back! It was heartbreaking when you lost it

Hey Simon, hope your ankle heals well and we can’t wait for you to get back out there!!

That’s so cool! I’m not sure if a 377 foot shot counts as a putt. LOL
Congratulations on over 10 million views on your channel 👍

The putting problems continue....The story of my disc golf career lmao. Good luck man have a good time.
"Very good vision round"
Glad to see anna’s back hope you get better from your small hicups
Like how you're talking up liking the teepads when they turned out to almost kill you lol
Welcome to one of the many awesome courses in, Pennsylvania.
Anna's back, halleluiah!
I’ll teach ya how to forehand again Simon after the season

props to gatekeeper for not listening to the "cut that out" ...media is the arbiter of truth!

I missed you in my own local area! Congratulations! Hope you found some good beer while you were in town.

Simon, the next time you are in the area, right up the road is, Bootlegger's Cave. You need to play that course.
Such a good vid. Enjoyed every second of it

That corn might as well be water lol GOODBYE
simon: hikes for five minutes to his drive
everyone else: not even worth two strapping to get to drive
I sometimes just pick it up by the disc compartment when it falls over and I'm only walking 10 feet
this might be the most useful video ever
Perfect video, Just missed the filming of the courcemap on each hole. Sry for bad english
Simon, ich hatte Entzug!!! Tolles Video (wie immer
Are you coming to the european open this year if it is possible
There is no European Open this year. Only Amateur EO.

Still can't believe you shot a 12 down today that was crazy
Beautiful course👍
Simon, what kind of shoes do you rock the most? & do you switch shoes for casual/competitive play?
Commenting for the algy 👍
You should play Jordan Park and Little Lehigh Parkway while you're in the area.
is it bad that everytime simon says the teepads are SUPER grippy...i laugh a little...no...yeah i thought so
The teepads at this course ARE super grippy. The teepads at Steel Club... not as much. It was a common talking point among competitors.
yes its bad
Hole #3: You threw your new glow MD4 without your name on it (also your skygod). Did you find them in the cornfield or are they gone forever??
He used one of them on the next hole
Simon such a classy guy 👌
Can PDGA players use range finders like in ball golf? You can shoot the distance of anything so you have an exact distance
Where is the coverage of the course being posted? I want to watch it so bad, this course looks cool
🙋♂️
Gatekeeper Media Ah-thank-you, I’ll sub too, just looked at your channel
You loved the tee pads at the start. I'm guessing that opinion has changed since filming this. Hope the ankle gets better soon.
Ever try water training? Can you even throw a disc is the water? If so, will it flip faster because of the density of the fluid? Like in a swimming pool. I know a lot of high performance athletes train in the water.
I want the back 9!
Glad the ankle only cost you a stroke today, day two.
I’m sure you know, but the back 9 is on Gatekeeper media.
Did simon turn Irish for a second at 30:05?
Simon - I saw in the back 9 coverage that you lost your clear MD and dont have a back up. I have a brand new clear wing stamp MD if you want it. Just let me know where to send it.
I want your forehand back!
I hope you found the discs from OB on Nr 3
u should come up to Newtown and play Tyler
Anybody have any info on the teepads!?! What they are exactly, cost and construction etc.?
