- Sunken in the watery graves of the Great Barrier Reef are a hoard of 17th-century Dutch treasure ships. The Dutch were the first Europeans to explore Australia in 1606 but many of their vessels lay wasted at the bottom of the ocean. The narrator and his team search for sunken treasure ships, including one carrying 60,000 ounces of gold, which disappeared in 1853.

Wonderful episode, I remained glued to the very end. Bravo too the captain and his lovely crew!
This dude knows where all the good wrecks are and still finding silver!
Awesome underwater journey. Thanks for taking the time to do the video. Loved it.
Thanks for doing the video fantastic to watch you
Looks amazing. To be able to explore down there.
Definitely a worthwhile video for watching.
Can’t believe he drank that liquor! @ 14:44
Findies keepers 🎉
Awesome recovery of artifacts love the respect to the wrecks kudos to your crew
All these sunken ships are the reason I will never sail upon the ocean blue. Now hunting off shore for treasure is another thing entirely because land is very near.
Thank you for sharing
God bless
Don’t forget about sharks. There’s always gonna be sharks.
ha ha ha ha ha that diverts helmet was such a plant ! the camera was already there and they were not at all surprised .
So fascinating!
I have always been interested in shipwrecks!!
Fascinating!
Thank you Sir for your Lifes Work and Passion Bela.... You Help US DREAM ! AMEN
What a smart man! He's very informative.
That divers helmet is a incredible find!! Kinda strange someone would just leave it in the mud???
Staged.
@@zackmoore147 Yeah, that was fake as hell, they "find" a helmet and don't bother to let let you see it closely because they stuck it in the mud only 5 minutes earlier, total horsecrap
A little staged, but the young ladies and beautiful scenery makes it well worth anybodys time. Love the down under. Thanks from US, R
Yeah without these woman and catching fish etc meanwhile... we all know why: THE FIEWS!!!!
A three hour tour .... shipmates are Sterling Mate...... prime cut video perciate it old man ♂️ here here!!!
التكنولوجيا لم تترك شيئا❤❤❤❤
Sorry when he says at 47:30 that the assination of William of Orange was the cause for the thirty year war, that is totally wrong. It was because Fredrick IV of the Pfalz and his wife Elizabeth Stuart took the Bohemian crown, which rightfully belonged to Emporer Ferdinand II that started the thirty year war. The bit with the Dutch and the Spanish was the eighty years war,
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
The dog!❤
For still having an "air pocket" that cork came out awful easy. Also, there didn't seem to be much excitement when they "found" that diving helmet. Me thinks things may have been a bit staged.
Oh you think 😮
Are the helmets worth money these days ?
@@miamiglia it depends on age, what it's made of, etc. For me, the excitement would come from the cool factor of finding something like that.
Amazing, stumbling quite by chance on a copper divers helmet and as phenomenal luck would have it there was a camera crew present to record the momentous find! Who would have ever thought it?
Those paintings looked as if drawn very recently. That type of art fades with time, almost all away. Think someone having a go at you lot?😮
Quite interesting.
Well done show! Great photography!
What about "Finders Keepers"...?!
You seem well-intended, using only eyeballs..., and some luck too...! lol
Anyway, why not basic metal detectors that are compact and reliable info! if needed.
Aha! Real treasure...!
I love it!
Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
Nope. That's not how it works. You take whatever small artifacts you find with you and you take them into a museum.
Let’s go, let’s go treasure and adventure🎉🇺🇸💕👵✌️🌺🌎
Think antique shipping around the world diving off them seeing this on a summer vacation! This may take at least four or five years to full plan but it's a start!
I knew it was bs when they pulled out the dive helmet.
0:30
Original aired in 2010?! Hard to believe the narrotor, Ben Cropp, is 87 yrs old now.... the helmet was staged.
They just found that dive helmet in the muck? 11:38
Finding one from a wreck is a tall tale I've heard many too times.
🤔
The Jacque Cousteau vibes make me think it's planted. Thoughts?
Yes, I can see your concern. I always look with skepticism at anything on these social apps, but try to enjoy them. R
I'm wondering why after lifting the helmet out of the mud he did NOT later show us what it looked like after the mud had been washed off of it. It was probably placed there for the show. AND, if he does not respond to these doubts of it being found there and not planted there, then that means it was WAS planted there to fool us.
Silver coins were the most popular coins during that time ? Were there any gold coins during that time frame ?
Leave the Yorkie at home next time you go out lol
I was thinking the same thing. Too many dangers there.
The snare drum used doesn't seem to be a traditional instrument 😂
Oh man! I'm sorry you can't keep any of those coins!!!
Do you still explore the ocean of Australia ? Love to join you some time
makes me want to learn how to scuba dive
Have a look at the story of Mrs. Wilson, 1890 (something I think think) ,who, stranded on Lizard Island, north east of Cooktown, with 2 kids while her seaman husband was off, attempted to escape, under pressure from indigenous people who had an annual religious ceremony there. She launched a water tank, square riveted corner joins, dry inside, as a boat with her 2 kids.
They were eventually stumbled upon at sea, apparently with 300 or to MM of water inside, long dead.
Now this would be the coolest grandpa in the whole world! Imagine someone asked you when you were a kid. “What did you do last weekend”? And you say, “we went treasure hunting with grandpa” 🤪 and what did you do? Played Minecraft both days 🤣
Not what I expected, but interesting .
Lateen is the ship for me!
0:57 You can be bloody sure that Cook didn't have seamen carry him ashore. The man was humble and had cut his teeth as a deckhand on colliers...he certainly wouldn't have had any time for that nonsense.
you got a nice boat, good underwater camera and no metal detector........
I hope one day to do what you're doing
Those Sharks were eyeballing that Yorkie 🦈 🐕.
wonder if the liquor is still drinkable lol
What did he use to clean the 2 coins in the glass?
The Barrier Reef is not in international waters.
Interesting old guy and young scantily dressed mates.
If this crew finds the gold, they will come back to retrieve the gold camera off😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hmm, that Bottle O wine might have been a Pee jug, yuk !!
Lol right I was thinking to myself “welp this is gonna be a short documentary. He’s about to die” 😂
They peed over the side.😎
@@julieduree9210 not 3 decks below the water line.
Get the old liquor bottles full ones!
This guy needs to get metal detectors and go over the reef where they found the crucible!
Great to see another ship besides Titanic
Does anyone know when they filmed this?
Putting the gold back is making me mad😂
White gold with Jewelry from Georgia! Please!
WHEN the Ausie govt, actually goes out and finds coins on the bottom of the sea THEN the coins are theirs.
WHEN the Ausie gout actually
@@kiliandourneau9904dude what's your pWoblem?!😏🤣

that will never happen but they will always take the hard earned from all of us
Erika please! Convince everyone that we need a gold hull to sail the seas every year at a elder age.
2:20 their great gands enjoying it now probably
The one thing I have noticed more than anything else is the almost bareness of fish each time you get into the sea? Apart from the odd tiny one and the shark and of course the fish you caught while using a rod and line I couldn't see any others ?
It just goes to prove just how over fishing is doing to our beautiful world 🌎
Sheesh. To survive a ship wreck just to be killed on land by an abergeronie.
So if you cannot keep the treasure. Is there at least a finders fee?
Thank you for sharing
God bless
Aborigines. Not abergeronie😅
You know they make underwater metal detectors.
Dumb/random question.... does a compass work underwater?
Are they still making Skippy...
OK👍👍
America is a Dutch colony. So the Dutch and America wants its gold back
Long ago and helped the tribes of Americans. The Japanese are right about the way they farm. Can not eat gold. Guess Can establish the land of money from God's love. I've decided to tell about a museum of Missouri called Golden Pioneer Museum.,Golden MO. Real history.
I hope if he find gold i hear him say the gold have to put back
The reason he hasn’t found the ships filled with gold, somebody already found the gold😂😂😂😂😂😂………..I cannot believe there still honest people living on this planet 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
daera mana kah itu dapat barang antik
Why didn't you not show the helmet
Them coins have my poor ars living in a house that i owned
I would never swim in shark infested waters.
I was just thinking the same thing. I have flown at 200-300 feet 75 yards from the coastline over St Augustine Beach Fl and seen 6 ft Hammerheads just below the surface. Often 25 yards further out are surfers sitting on their boards looking out to sea for that perfect wave.
@@jsd354 Scary! I don't want a shark near me ever.
If not being able to keep the treasure why would they do it? It’s a very expensive venture.
Groovy documentary. Bummer that the Australian government gets everything you find even though they had nothing to do with your find
❤❤penemuan. Harta karun. Didalam. Laut. ❤❤❤❤
Please!
Again lateen ship made from all white Gold!
Really? Where is the stage?
😊
You got to put it back yeah right I bet you wont be putting any gold back
I’m looking at that bottle with the yellow liquid inside. Piss maybe?
Lol they are mining near Glamis dunes
19 comments made BUT ONLY 10 are shown. WHY ? !
Thats YT f-ing us.
sorry the Portuguese were here and proof has been found and proved 1 by the qld uni and others further south and in libraries in Portugal ,while doing tests behind Frazer Island i forget the depth they found weight from s scene net very old test run found from a lead mine in portiugal from the early 16 hundreds also parchment maps of the east coast of au later found terracotta oil vessels down near Montague island
Ладагебольшезолото❤❤❤❤
Wow really that could have been a valuable historical find and he just popped the top to drink it.
That's just wrong for a so called professional in my opinion
Australia didn't exist when theses coins were minted how could they belong to the government.
The cave art isn't fresh honest 😄🤣🎨🖌️
As shallow as the supposed fatima is they probably recovered the gold.
Ok I can't watch it anymore.
Tossing those bullets back in the water because it's not what he's after means he is NOT an archeologist but just a scavenger.
Could have at least took them to a museum or something for chemical analysis or what not for others to study to expand the knowledge base of other fields of interest

Australian. Turn on the CC.
@@Gertyutz 😂🤣😅
Nothing here but another thief looting archaeological sites. Should be thrown in jail the rest of his life.
What a load of B S
loot the wrecks, never mind making any record of the sites. Money, money, money!
Records should have Already been made. Lots of Finds of Precious taken out already show how unthorough the Gov. was.
i was enjoying your video up untill 41:41 when you said physhic... hocus pocus. BS
