What you said at the end is so true. Not even playing, when I was 17, an asshole who attacked me with brass knuckles got his ass whipped and then tried to sue me. I went knee-on-belly after I knocked him down and lit him up a little bit with punches. I was legit afraid he was going to get up and hit me with those brass knuckles. Hitting him on the ground was considered excessive force. It cost me a lot of money in legal fees but I have a clean record and was able to survive that fight with barely a scratch. I threw the first punch too. That guy wasn't coming to give me a massage with those knuckles. A threat and trying to get close enough to get me seriously made me concerned for my safety so I did what I had to do. Stay safe everyone ✌️
I carry either my heavy baton or 10z sap just in case of this so I at least have a shot at breaking that arm. It's just such a terrible situation . I know running is best but I'm almost 60 with hip trouble. I'm not out running anybody. I literally got passed up by a 2yr old girl the other day when on my "jog". So I have to stand and make the best of it . Thanks for sharing
Hm, not really convincing. Who would attack with such a low line thrust instead of a straight stab? Maybe with a sword or a machete, but not with s knife. Not to mention that the attacker in the vid stops the attack mid-air.
@@inspectator9384 actually the lowline thrust or highline are the most common knife attacks. Statistically speaking. A knife jab or straight punch (bladed) are not as common. He only stops because it must be met with equal or greater force…ahead of timing. These are very fundamental applications. A “knife fighter” actually moves very differently or has already adapted to common “defenses”. A sword or machete are better suited for a slashing than a low line thrust. The knife is more a thrusting tool for damage. But in all honesty, the only real way to counter a knife is with equal or superior weaponry. I encourage and welcome these discussions as usually a few minutes video often only can give partial information of a complete system or technique set. If youre in the New Orleans area i invite you to a class! Always ready to teach or learn from anyone!
RUclipsrs, you better forget doing knife defense videos.

Then, even if the law sides with you the public will condemn you for excessive force. 😂 crazy times.

Utilize a weapon in your self protection is a MUST for anyone. Not carrying some sort of weapon is falling short in self defense. Stay safe my friend!

This video demonstratesd a low line thrust. There was no slashing at all.
But thanks for commenting!
@@edgedcombatives Thanks for the correction, I updated the comment.
