Unlike other schemes, deposit amount will not get credited to SB account. Instead, depositor must go to post office, in person, to close it and request to credit to SB account. Otherwise, the amount will be in 'thrishangu' till depositor visit personally and no interest until then. No attraction as the interest is available in Banks

Post offices are there in literally any town or village in India. What's the big issue in going there for one time after 5 years?? 😄
Also this is a monthly income scheme.. So obviously the interest will be credited monthly to bank account. This can be used as a monthly income or can be invested as sip in MFs or as RD.
You are just making up of problems that are not actually an issue at all.

You are assuming that the depositor is going to be in village or town itself for entire 5 years till it get matured. If he has gone to abroad for studies or job then ? When you don't understand things fully don't make useless comments
