Oh My GOOOSHHH Thank you so much. I have spent a week off and on trying to figure something out amd you helped. Also pray for me and my wife as we just took over our Churches Youth Program. Cheers Mate!
I want to figure out how to split screen. Pastor live on half screen and other half his slide. Would this be setting up an output screen not as full? So when I put slides its side by side with him? Then switching back to other full audience screen for taking power point away? I was just trying to find a simple toggle for this.
You could probably create a new look and theme and just apply it to the slides you want this to happen on so when you get to that slide it splits automatically then goes back to full slides when you move on
I am adding tv's to our church and not projectors and I am trying to figure out if I can output on those tv's instead of having a projector? I understand setting up the displays, I am just not totally clear on if tv's work.
As long as you can get the signal from the computer to the tv it should work the same as projectors for example using a hdmi cable from your computer to the tv.
hey there so im using an HP laptop hooked to a TV with an HDMI cable. The TV displays whatever is on my computer screen. But I can't get the presentation to only show the audience out put on the tv. If i turn on the audience view it shows the audience slide on my computer and the tv. How do i fix this? Thanks
Hi Jason, are you trying to just use an audience screen? What would you like to display on your computer screen whilst the audience screen is on your monitor?
Hey Josh, I am having trouble with output by HDMI to a TV. When I click "Audience" it still displays on my laptop screen, not the TV. Is there a step I am missing or maybe even a configuration on my PC that I am getting wrong? The screen shows up, but it must not be configured correctly if it continues to output on my laptop screen. Any help with this would be awesome!
My best guess is you haven’t set the correct display for audience. You need to go into your screen options and make sure the screen for audience is set to your others screen. You can click on the button in the screen options and and it will show you the name of each display on the screens
I have a mac studio which i've installed pro presenter 7 on. I have two monitors connected as a display for the mac studio, just like normal cpu-monitor connection. I have hdmi splitter connected via hdmi cable to the mac, and the hdmi spliter is connected to a projector and two tv. At the moment, only the screen of the of the mac is showing on the projector, if the propresenter is running, it doesn’t display/extend the output to either the projector or the two tv. So at the moment, I'm stuck as I'm not able to display any presentation, live output etc. Please kindly help.
I have laptop with two output VGA and Hdmi, I am trying connect projector for audience via and stage TV screen with Hdmi, however for some reasons it does not see VGA, any recommendations ?
I am using a M1 Mac mini and I have one monitor to use, and three screens; 1x stage and 2x mirror. However, only one has an identity and the other two is not listed? Those three screens are connected using a multiple hdmi adapter. What to do if I want to select one screen to display a different content?

Great content! How would I set up for my FOH screen to show an image at the same time my Stage screen is showing lyrics? For example: Kids singing Away In A Manger with words on the Stage screen and an Image of a Manger on the FOH. I know it is probably easy, but I am a newbie to ProPresenter.
Hi Jeff, you could use looks and themes for this so the words and image are on the same slide but one theme references the text and the other the media or image. Then you can allocate each theme to a look and a screen. We do have a video or tow on looks and themes
Ive already know how to project the screens and things of that nsture but it seems the cameras are not projecting onto the monitor anymore. Do you know how to fix this?
I think I have it set up right but when I hit audience it is showing up on the right screen but with a black screen on over it with a timer and the time on it. I can see my slide in the background though. What am i missing?
Is it possible that you have this display setup as a stage display? I would double check it is not listed as your stage display as having the time and timer on the screen is usually on the stage display but this could also show the rest of your slide on there too making it a little bit confusing.
Hi Josh, we have a Mac sending NDI to another Mac which outputs to an EP and a stage screen. Both outputs flicker. I’m guessing it is the frame rate. How do you know what the NDI frame rate should be?
I would have a play around with the frame rate e.g. 24fps, 23.98 fps, 25 fps and 30 fps and see if that changes it. I would also check the load on cpu and graphics on each computer to make sure it is not overloaded.
hey! my church is having some trouble with our screens glitching on and off and we suspect that it may be correlated to propresenter. does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Is there anything special I need to do to SAVE these screen configurations? I set my configurations up, then I close ProPresenter and I have to set them up again every time I launch. I must be missing something here!
Hi we as a church just recently switched over and I was curious is there a way to just show the logo while being able to edit freely in the background even with Misclicks
This was a very detailed and helpful video; very clear. Gave me a better understanding as it regards to implementing pro presenter at my church (when the time comes)
Very very helpful Josh. Question: I'm attempting to setup my screen configs in PP7 but I don't have additional screens yet...using placeholders to familiarize myself with the process. However, when I attempt to test the output it defaults to the Mac that I'm working on and displays the sample announcements in full screen and I get locked there. It took me 30 minutes of pressing random keys to get out of it...only for it to happen again. Why is it so difficult to get ESC from that display option? Or should I ask, what is the easiest way to ESC from that screen? Thank you.
@@learnpropresenter In my case on a mac it is invisible. I have to click on a completely black part of the screen to get out. Also, its ignoring the displays it is supposed to out to. It will Identify them fine but only displays to the laptop screen. ARG.
A couple of options. There might be a small grey x in the bottom left corner. Click this and it will shut. If this is not there you could try and force quit propresenter using cm + option + esc or try pressing cmd + 1 or cmd + 2. We haven't used this last option as we do not work on macs but it apparently disables either the audience or stage displays.
I’m having the same issue. It’s never happened to me before. I just installed propresenter for a second seat. It has worked fine before so I’m not sure what changed or could it be the hdmi I’m using for the TV?
I think you use windows right? So, can you create more details about to connect the computer to the projector? I am trying to my answer in this video, but I don't see any that I need information on this video, please. We use windows PC, and we trouble to make a presentation to our projector. Thanks.
I've watched many videos on NDI and I still really don't totally understand it.... Would be nice for a video on that and the hardware needed to use it. It would also be nice to understand the hardware for getting the video into the computer and then getting it out of the computer.... Example: a switcher output into the computer then back out to a streaming device.
Hi Chad, When you say hardware for video in and then out of the computer do you mean in terms of getting it into Propresenter from a camera and then how to livestream it or something similar out of propresenter? We have done some work with NDI ourselves and can sort of explain it a little bit on how to set it up if you would like us to keep it to the basics.
@@learnpropresenter It would be great to see what you say about NDI. Pretty much all the videos don't talk about the hardware. I guess they just assume that everyone already knows about it. I have a ATEM mini that I want to get the AV into the computer, then I want to get the AV out to an external Facebook Live streamer (Webcaster X2). What hardware for the computer would I need?
The nid thing might just be because nkbody really knows how it works haha usually it just works. For your Atem mini if you plug your camera into an in e. G. 1 via hdmi then use thw usb cable to your computer it shpuld be recognised as a webcam and should be able to be setup in propresenter as a camera or media source. (I'll make a video about cameras). Im not familiar with a webcaster but if it needs an rtmp tbis can be set in propresenter or if it needs something else it depends how it needs to leave the computer to the webcaster
Hi Josh, first-time viewer here. The options you show in your video are a way of having, say, multi-screen or a super widescreen via software? - Providing that your machine has enough resources. In our case, I already have two video outs (front screens and stage monitor); adding two or three more would require more processing power. Have you deployed such a setup? Since I need to deploy a 15-feet widescreen, I was thinking about using a DATAPATH x4 Display Wall Controller. But the options you show seem like they could help me save $$ and rely on the computer's CPU and GPU. Thank you, and great content!
Hi David. The most i have persoanply run is two different outputs whenere one of those outputs is split into three differemt connections after leaving the computer so we have three screens uo the front of our church. This isn't the best option and could lead to problems down the track but it is working for now and sometimes that is all you have room for in the budget! If you are running lots of screens from Pro7 you would need to make sure the gpu can handle it. Lots of people suggest ysing a decklink duo (sdi card) as well for lots of outouts and also longer runs

Hello again, quick question, now we added a TV to display lyrics for group, before we have only lyrics for audience, and finally we installed a TV to display lyrics for stage, so the question is, how to connect a TV to my iMac? Do I need to buy just a $5.00 dollars HDMI splitter, and connect both HDMI cables for Stage and Audience? And use only 1 cable to get plugged into iMac? Or do I need to buy another HDMI to USB little converter box? Thanks.
Either way could work. If you use a splitter this will show the exact same thing on all screens. If you want to setup a separate display for the people in the group (I’m assuming on stage) you would need to use a separate output from your Mac which may mean you need to convert it when outputting from your computer to get it to your tv
