Meshtastic Stratospheric Balloon over Poland

A group of people in Poland called HAST - High Altitude Stratospheric Team launched a balloon on 25.10.2024 carrying Meshtastic nodes on 868MHz and 433MHz ISM bands. I set up some equipment on a tall building in Munich, Germany to see if I could receive any signal from these nodes.

Great video. Is 433 for the LoraAPRS or Meshtastic? I am trying to get into this stuff but there are a lot of options.

Glad you liked it. 433 is also for Meshtastic. It seems far less popular than 866. Probably because the allowed transmit power is much lower unless you are a licensed radio amateur.
