PO'ed Definitive Edition - Unlocking "Speedrun" Achievement

  • This video walks through on how to get the "Speedrun" achievement for the remastered version of PO'ed, known as PO'ed Definitive Edition.
    To unlock "Speedrun" achievement, the game must be finished in under 20 minutes. This is easiest to do on "I like to watch" (easy) difficulty. This video shows completion of the game in 15 minutes and 8 seconds, including minor mistakes that add to the time. Also shows a trick where you can grab items through walls, floors, and ceilings, provided the item is close enough to the spot of grabbing it.
    Addendum: At 8:10 (in Canyon), there's a space behind two gun turrets that can be travelled into in order to skip having to take the U-turn on the way to the exit. Thanks to Kaiser for pointing that out.
    Addendum 2: The exit at the end of Lattice (at 15:46) can be entered by approaching it underneath the nose part of the giant face. Thanks goes to ObsidianCarnageX12 for finding it.
    Addendum 3: Just 3-4 Cypiders need to be killed to allow the final exit to open up in Skyway: Final Mayhem. Thanks goes to LeonItsMe for pointing it out.

    Last level could have saved 20 seconds, because you need to kill only 3-4 spiders to open the door.
    Lattice and Puzzle are the worst levels in the game (fun wise), no creativity whatsoever. They should make Extra Speedrunner achievement of 14/15 minutes , would be amazing to watch )))
    Great job, looks great overall, even learned from you that on Arena you have to kill all Arnies to unlock the doors.
    Now go for 100% kill monsters :)))) if you got the patience that is, because some levels are very tricky to get 100% (enemies stuck in walls possibly ?)
    100% challenge seems to start at Shuttle (spawn trigger points after 2nd shuttle), Alley (impossible - i retried at least 6 times different days and methods), and 2 more sneaky levels where 100% takes some time).

    Has anyone figured out how to use classic cheats?i turned on enhancements but they won't work on PS5 and i used to have them memorized on PS1

    Thought on very hard difficulty? maybe give walkthrough guide on very hard? (i didnt try much, but on Transit its already seems hard, you only have to kill amazons/turret, but considering there are 6 amazons and 4 turrets, the enemies respawn, and instead of hitting you for 2 damage they hit you for 5-10 damage, there are 30-50 enemies with aim/wall hack, killing "only" those 10 seems like already near impossible on transit, because of others who shoot you and strafing doesn't seem to help, since fired upon from all 3 levels). The levels before it, i managed to "lure" enemies, focus on health/speed rather than killing etc. But transit.. Shame very hard has infinite monsters.
    Fully stocked achievement is STILL bugged (as of 29/6)
    Without preparing, i know lattice/puzzle together will take 5-10min even if one knows all rooms/triggers/etc.
    Still very impressive run, doubt many po'ed player will get it even after 3 full walkthroughs.. (because of lattice/puzzle)

    I ended up unlocking the speed run achievement even though I beat the game in about 6 hours, taking my time killing as many enemies I could. How the heck did that happen? Either it's a bug, or the achievement is worded wrong and it actually means you have to stay under 20 mins per missions. Cause I don't think I ever spent more than 19 minutes in a mission.

      There is currently a bug in the main version where the achievement does not keep track of hours (only minutes and seconds). It has since been fixed which will be in the first patch (which can be accessed sooner currently as the public beta branch on Steam) for the game.
