Though, if you didn't put any anti-air towers to begin with, then yeah of course redesigning is going to be a pain
I got to 70 plus waves in there, u just need a lot of def and some cyclones

Its super easy for me. Theres less space to defend, so the barricade is smaller
@@redbepis4600 but less space also means you can't cram much firepower, remember that you need at least power delivery and at most liquid, ammo and power. My point is that is not 'easy' (at least for me), without careful planning.
Bruh tar fields is so much harder than desolate rift you deffinetly never played mindustry on both maps

In Desolate Rift I used mostle Wraight Fighters.
Like absolute tons of them.
It gave me 30fps and my only defenses were 3 Lancers, 4 Arcs, and 2 Force projectors.
With a little Block defense and Menders.
And overall I was making Alot of Power even though I don't need that much.
Score was SS and Wave 50.
I got a little cocky at wave 45.
My force projectors broke and had little Wraight Fighters.
Good thing I commanded the Wraight Fighters Correctly by Retreating and attacking.
But overall might try to beat my score again.

if you had even one Fuse that flying boss unit would have been demolished in seconds, those things do absurd amount of dmg to flying units

Fun fact: Large walls are better than small. Here is why:
In case of a small wall block 2x2, an enemy only needs to break 2 walls to pass, for example if a small wall has 500hp, that is 1000hp. In case of a large wall, enemy needs to destroy the entire wall, 2000hp. In case of mender spamming this might change though
I know this is old but I never thought of that, Ive computed the health per tile and health per material and they were the same. One thing though, for you to be optimizing this much, you're probably facing a strong enemy, who's bullets spawn at apits turrets, often to the side

Desolate rift is actually not that bad.
It has hard enemies. But a lot of resources.
A lot of electricity due to the magma.
One fuse is enough for the lich.

Humming The Bassline by Hideki Naganuma, or well, a remix of it. It's from the Jet Set Radio soundtracks and he even made bops like Ain't Nothing Like a Funky Beat for Lethal League Blaze. Can totally recommend that song in particular as well 👌

flying enemies are just broken.
They completely ignore your defenses and skim the edge of the map taking out a single cryofluid pipe which then blows all your reactors to pieces

Normal player: just build something

This is an easy map. First round you should spend getting graphite and getting as much copper as you can. Once the first wave begins you should have the power to fend it off as the dart. After words find the lead deposit nearest to the crash zone and start mining it with drills that requirer graphite since they mine faster. Set up AA guns as many as you can get. Also make sure to plug up that hole located near the crash zone. And leave the wider gap as a check point. After your army of AA guns are fed with the lead you will want to begin construction on as many hail turrets as you can. They are the best early game defense. Also there should be some scrap near the half way point also mine that to feed your aa guns. With the jails decent range you can take out any invader before they get to close and aa guns take care of most air horn threats. Also make sure to get a FUSE you will need one to fight off the liches. Trust me this is the easiest map. Beat it second time I played it.
Also on a side note you can easily set up a defense where you don't need to constantly rebuild air defenses and stuff. Also you can do it without needing to make all of that complex machinery. In fact you can beat the first round by using a dart ship.
The boss there was clever its plans were damage some defences then whenever close to the core it just goes straight at it
So it's Jojo, Sonic Rush and smth else in a 1 song. Nice remix.
Even though I haven't played desolate rift yet,I know router chains or distributor chains would capture it

Wave 38 or something in tar fields is the first boss wave with 1 lich. The second wave in thus map has a couple bosses on wave 2

I like how he says "existed" as if it's already dead and gone.
I had found a glitch that not only broke the circle around the spawns but also instantly kills the most difficult ground units, but you need guns for the air units so its not too op.
Remember playing it with my friend. We died, like, 6 times but our final record was 217 waves

Also, unfortunately the only good answer to the flying bosses is spam. I suggest maining Salvos because they hit both ground and air, and can be loaded with Thorium, which you will find in no short supply if you use Airblast drills. Scatters loaded with Metaglass works too, since sand is plentiful, as is power.

I made a Maze spin-off I called Hell Tunnel. Each wave is the same as the previous, plus a unit one up on the upgrade chain. So you wind up fighting a Fortress by wave 10. Each wave only lasts 10 seconds. Even with infinite resources, I've only made it to wave 44.
How far had you made with sandbox?

I reached wave 42 on this map. After wave 8 once your defenses are established it's really easy...
I managed to get to wave 250 before launching bc the chaos arrays we’re getting too numerous for my defence
I think that there was like 45 each wave before I launched
Ah yes 2 years ago... when i din't know what juctions where and i just used them as shield and spammed turrets like they would do something without any ammo
Dude,when i played this map for the first time,i did my defense in tge same place and died.U need to make it close to enemy spawn,like 5-10 blocks to achieve a big fire power.
Highly underrated channel
I use 4 foreshadow,5 cyclone and 3 mend projector on my desolate rift and everything is ready 3 wave,it is pretty easy foreshadows very powerful against which enemy has high health pool
Things changed, nowadays you start the mission with 6k of each resources, its free win

stopped at wave 222, hardest map is Overgrowth for me, range and damage of that boss is just overwhelming

I literally beat my way up to wave 10 using only a lot, and i mean A LOT of copper turrets and walls

We finish all map and even theDesolate rift that so hardest map and we put so many spectre and cyclone world record 34 minutes that's so hardest map ever

ik, this was my first attempt :p it could be harder if it focused more on bosses instead of spamming frikin wraiths
Yeah once the customize loadout is unlocked its not too hard to set up a nice defense. I have a save at wave 100-something that I don't have the heart to end yet.

This map is easy I like just take all the ore, and pause it if you had like many ore I just build some heavy drone’s like that you can actually make ore from the wave like that I took me like and hour to get 41 and all the sudden all my drone is down and my wall is all most done and attacking my whole turret and my mine resources and my base core I should be more patient more like that...?!
