When you're trying to learn how to build like this from scratch that is exactly what you do. "I need space for X of this and Y of that to output Z of that. Don't forget to leave good spots for overdrives and mend projectors. Then you fill in the defenses like water and anti-air, and attach some extra towers if you can make it work (like if you're producing plaastanium, why not shave some off into a couple cyclones to defend it?), then you enclose it in walls, and you have a bunch of 1x1 tiles that are free inside, so either batteries or solar panels. I used to do more solar panels, but when you do a lot of this it totally fucks with your power rates at night cos it's hard to calculate where your non-solar energy is... Which leads you to stop using solar panels and just inserting batteries to fill the space cos the extra energy is always useful if they disconnect from the power supply
Maybe common knowledge but I did some math for the disassemblers the other day and thought I would share: 20 scrap per second is enough scrap run almost exactly 3 melters and 5 disassemblers. I think you have maybe 0.2scrap per second to spare. This equates to about 20 per second in trash coming out of the disassemblers. I dunno how it works, but the sand comes to come out twice as often as the other materials. But the production rates are precise of the ratios were equal, so I think the dissambler also has a text error in it's description and it makes 2 sand and not 1. Relatively new player, I was fucking around on Serpulo Campaign and I went back to Ground Zero and then realised there were geothermal tiles and a bunch of scrap, and I thought it would be funny to turn Ground Zero into a launchpad zone sending out copper, lead and the sand, thorium, graphite and titanium from disassemblers, so I took an hour to build it and do all tje math gor it. Now it ships out 600 copper, lead and sand per minute, and 300 graphite, titanium and thorium. Getting thorium from your starter base is amusing to me, and the lead has been shockingly useful... You actually use a lot of lead in the late game
Idea: Logistics challenge You start with as many belts of basic resources as you feel are appropriate for the challenge. All of the belts are in one giant bus at the top of the map, and your core is nearby. You have to figure out how to supply all your machines and turrets without making a giant spaghetti monster.
Now do it with 1 patch of scrap (For startup With either a preset system that gives basic resources, a starting balance, or a couple of 1tile patches surrounded by walls and far from the core)
I played a few other scrap-focused maps on some of the mp servers. Trust me when I say DO NOT play on a scrap-oriented attack map. Those are hell to play
if you didnt receive the answer to your question somewhere else, no, thats a toggable option in the settings, its really useful, basically it shows the status of a building, green - everythings fine, red - doesnt work, orange - theres something that doesnt let it work properly
I hate it when people are dumb and think it's supposed to be pronounced the wrong way. It's obviously minimalist industry. Mihn-dis-tree is the correct pronunciation.

But how to avoid making OCTOPUS HANDS!? The turret need in so many places
On schematics site there is a scrap to 3 impact reactors. It uses 2 titanium belts of scrap and has copper and graphite byproduct.
There's a schematic site?
he means the steam workshop. personally i design all my schematics myself
Such a cool concept. Love the vid! Also, would love to see how you play factorio. It would be such an interesting series.

With some good scripting that map is quite playable, drones can mine hundreds of resources per minute with a single patch
@@isaias-1713Add programming to all this and it will turn out great!
You can actually mine coal with your drone. Poly can mine it too with logic.
Please get a pop filter, you may not have the speakers to hear it, but I can feel it in my entire body

do you get to use logic?

pretty cool map actually
Short answer to the title of the video: no, you can't. You also need other resources.
If you have starter resources that are required for the scrap stuff then it is possible
