I had the pleasure of doing a shoot at Tank Space 3 months ago. It was a fantastic experience. Neil your photos are quite stunning. You were able to use and set up your own lights which no doubt gives a better result than the standard lighting that is in place for a regular shoot . Brilliant results Neil another stunning video, thank-you.
I have been attempting ‘creative’ photography since late 1960s ( yes I’m really old) and this, in my opinion is up there in the realms of Commercial Pro- Karl Taylor! This vid should be views in the seven digits global recognition range….. Beth deserves an award for services to photography! Absolutely outstanding talent and capability you both have. Thank you for sharing this with the World.
Hi Matt, thank you so much for your very kind comment. That really means a lot, especially coming from someone like yourself who has been shooting for so long and has so much experience. I really appreciate that. Thank you very much again
Hats off to Beth, she is just awesome. This was an amazing photoshoot Neil, very creative, I particularly admire your use of light to create such wonderful images. Great job!!
Neil, amazing work, just wondering is it worth bringing a 2 foot white board and non permanent marker and write instructions down and hold it up to glass?
Wow! This is very different from your usual bokeh style and I think you successfully met the challenge of getting a bit away from the comfort zone. Such beautiful final results, almost painterly due to the flowing fabric and lighting. You work so well with Beth. Did you need to use any special technique to cope with potential reflections as you're essentially shooting Beth through a fish tank? Thank you.
Thank you very much! Yes, this was something very different for me and I really enjoyed it :) Thats a great question but thankfully at TankSpace you shoot from a space which is covered with a black curtain (that is why there isn't much video of me shooting - you wouldn't see me!) so that takes away any issues with reflections
I have being trying underwater portraits but I'm struggling on how to train the models and how to pose them. It's very hard for them to don't be moving all around and also the water in the nose is a big issue. Would be amazing if you could make a video with your model giving tips. Thank you guys 😊
Super Video, just like to know did you have to use your own lighting or was there lighting available to you. Also.. how long did you have the Tank for? Cheers.
Thank you very much Philip! You can use TankSpace's own lighting and to be honest in hindsight I should have maybe done that as it would have been much easier! They have very powerful video lights which make everything look epic but for the video I wanted to use off camera flash. I had the tank for 4 hours :-)
Fascinating Neil! Thank you.

Love the way the AD200 creates the rays of light giving the image a really cool look!
Beth is more than a model, she is a goddess and heaven sent to you.. lovely shoot
amazing work yet again....
