the game is so fking sad legit a cheap genshin impact that looks worse and won't have any future , idk what some companies are thinking at , let's just copy paste everything and change it a bit maybe they won't notice
@@itzsuepy I agree with 80 % of all games. But there are still hidden gems out there. Gravity Rush, Xenoblade Chronicles series or Monster Hunter Stories 2. You just need to search a little bit.
If we're just looking at character animations alone (and this isn't a judgement on which game overall is better), I'd say that Genshin Impact blows Tower of Fantasy out of the water. You can see very unique dancing techniques and shifting of weight in attack animations of characters like Eula while the other character is just generically swinging their sword. The plunging guy's animation kept jumping frames and his position to plunge was just really awkward while Xiao's plunges have every frame of his position from jumping to plunging present.
its also with raiden in her first normal attack she flicks the polearm upward with a loose grip on her left hand and then tightens her grips so that it doesn't fly out off her hands and the finger animations on the bow users.... chef's kiss
ToF looks a bit choppy compared to Genshin. But at least you can customize the characters you dont have in Genshin and play as them. Ayato with an ASSAULTO RAIFUR sounds sick.
@@Karan-hk6qx each wep gives different attacks afaik. And u can equip like 2 or 3 which u can swap mid battle? Would make for a really fun devil may cry like gameplay if its real, i havent checked the beta tests xd
Genshin just has this smooth animation feeling that I dont see in any other games Edit: everyone chill I meant in any other anime-like rpg games, y’all are literally comparing genshin to actual pc rpg games that are more realistic than genshin
Kuro's punishing gray raven has better attack animation than genshin and honkai actually. And there has a game called wuthering waves which is still in development, not even alpha state, still in pre-alpha and their animation are so cool already.
This, I've been looking for a lot of genshin similar games to play, but man genshin animation is top notch and unbeatable. No matter how cool the animation is in another game it's always has that choppy/laggy feeling to it. Even honkai with it's over the top animation has that choppy feeling. But tbf honkai is older so it's understandable. Hopefully zzz will be as good or even better than genshin.
I will always be in awe on how amazing the animation is in Genshin. Hoyoverse captured what I would consider the "perfect" aesthetic of anime (characters don't look off and have great proportions). Attack animations are also chef's kiss - smooth, realistic, not robotic nor choppy. You can also feel the weight of an attack and its difference across weapon types whether it's a light bow or a heavy claymore.
I wish they add more mobility options to Genshin, I've seen that ToF has more freedom and options when it comes to movement and world exploration, I'd like to see a boost system while gliding like in Immortals Fenyx Rising and double jump

Nah it still useless in genshin cause it's still a single player game with a gacha in it, i mean what are you trying to do here? Showing off your new character to an an npc? People don't realize that genshin is just money grab game that doesn't even do it right
The only thing I like about Tower Of Fantasy is the wishing animation. It's cool so cool! For rest, Genshin Impact have more cleaer animations. Especially, climbing and swimming animations. TOF ones look so...awkward...
A small detail that sets these two games apart is the flow when fighting, for genshin you have to take a break to regain stamina or wait for long cooldowns however in TOF it lessens that effect which makes fighting feel more fast-paced compared to genshin where stamina is more of a problem when you are a new player.
ToF is actually kind at stamina mechanics,it doesn't reduce only if you charge attack and sprint, dash has it's own cd,and pretty much it reduces if you dash at swimming or maintaining your glider through the air and lastly climbing

In the content department, ToF is an MMO so it has more fun content to do than Genshin by default especially since it doesn't have that "You must be Adventure Rank X to do this" shiets. ToF also doesn't lock you out because you used up all of your Resin 😂
Yep. It's that simple. I don't know why people keep comparing which one is better. Each has its own good and bad point. So just pick one, and play it. Or just play both if you want.
I was a beta tester in tof and ngl it’s a pretty good game and the combat is super fun, but I would say genshin just feels more smooth and fluid also you get attached more to the characters in genshin
I think ToF is more for the people who value the mmo experience more than story and the character appeal. It is more appealing to people who want to raid, pvp, and more of a community environment.
@@homework9102 I will prefer ToF because it is more my style. Genshin is beautiful in comparison and the animation and design is nice but ToF has way more of my type of stuff with the MMO feel and raids.
Tbh genshin is still the best In terms of story, character design and exploration, but I hope this will make genshin team realise how important to listening to player
story is dog shit, ppl already hate mihoyo and the game, game is boring for veterans and new players are punished heavily by the high ar locked events and char mats for new 5 stars
i don't think genshin wins the exploration specially genshins exporations is kinda easy and its exploration gadgets kinda meh(ex. red feather fan. you cant use it mid air, you use it while on ground its uptime is so short and made it even shorter coz you need to stand on ground for you to use it then glide), if you explore Aida during beta test there are lots of exploration gadgets available and a lots of area where you can go using those exploration gadgets and have some special/hidden chest to be found etc. story and character design genshin has total victory.
Well, you might wanna check out Tower of fantasy playthroughs on yt coz there's a lot and i mean A LOT more stuff to do in this game compared Genshin. There's mounts, character customizations, boss raids, and more.
Balancing sucked in that game. I tried playing and loved the MMO aspect of it. It was fun doing boss raids with everyone and afk farming and other shenanigans. What sucked was character balancing. Every new character was OP af than all the previous characters. You were basically incentivised to go for the next new character always. Well it got boring for me when the servers got empty. Cuz the only reason I wanted to play tof was because it was an MMO game. But what's the point of that MMO in which servers are empty. So I quit in like the first 3-4 months.
wuthering waves is next, honestly its always like this, they hype a game and call it a genshin killer but the so called genshin killer dies first, like are they forgetting genshin is a game with 3 YEARS of development??
What sets Genshin Impact apart, is the sheer amount of detail they put into the world design, characters, the music, and practically everything. You'd notice roaming around in Liyue Harbor that the OST literally speaks 'China', similarly as in Inazuma. The choice of instruments is simply mind blowing. Plus, the world in Tower Of Fantasy looks like some random assets placed here and there, with no life whatsoever, where you must have seen in the recently released Golden Apple Archipelago, they even made small character developments for enemies. In Genshin, the character design is so detailed, you can attribute a small detail on the characters' clothes to its history, like the symbol on Raiden's neck, the Favonius symbols on the outfits of Mondstadt characters, unlike ToF, which I have zero idea why they did that, ruined their chance to create unique characters with some life to them, and went straight to meme-ish [and you get the idea] characters.
Another die hard genshin fan, just dont play the game, and if ur not going to play it anyways just shutup and stay playing a boring single player game thats so boring af
@@mehanna-2363 they are criticizing the game quite fairly actually, they gave their opinion then explained why they think that way and actually made a pretty good point. Unlike you (the person that's insulting this poor stranger for no reason at all) your argument is "BoRiNg SiNgLe PlAyEr GaMe" which idk why being single player is bad. If Genshin was "bad" it wouldn't have the popularity it has, and it has that reputation for a reason, the game is great at creating immersion which the stunning scenery and the ost while tof just looks plain, it's a fact. And tof will never kill Genshin (i don't even think it will even a tenth of Genshin's popularity and player base, judging from recent players' reviews) I bet you're the type to shit on some random ass popular anime just cuz it's popular without you even watching it.
the characters in the genshin are made disgusting. the same model. if the game characters differ in any way, then the NPCs all look the same. I've been playing genshin for a long time, but even tof looks MUCH better than a game that is already 3-4 years old
@@aln_S do you know the process of character creation on genshin? And the fact that you saying genshin is 3-4 years proves that probably never played it. Even though they use same models, they are just "base" for the character design, every character has unique design which no other has; look at eula, look at yae Miko, look shenhe , look at arataki itto, look at any character and you'll see how each one of them looks unique. And everyone of them has different clothing and clothing animation, venti's cape doesn't have the same animations as eula's cape since his cape is supposed to be long and heavy and eula's short and light. Nada the fact that there is no clipping issues proves that they actually do a good job. Lastly the character animations are always different (appart from walking climbing or swimming which depend on the character model type) every character has different attack animations (eula dancing while swinging, ayaka gracefully but swiftly swinging her katana, yoimiya doing flips and crazy acrobatics while shooting her bow, kokomi floating like she's in water...) I'd say what's shameless is you judging something that you clearly don't understand when the devs put actual good effort in character design
@@aln_S and who cares about npcs all looking the same, well technically Signora is an npc and she looks amazing. It's not like it's important for npcs to look different since, well they're npcs
For people saying Genshin animation better. I agree. Genshin feels so smooth to play on. But you guys gotta remember that ToF is MMORPG while Genshin is just RPG. There is a reason why a game as high quality as Genshin is not MMORPG. Just imagine keeping that quality while having 50 players running around in the same world. For an MMORPG, a mobile one that is, ToF graphics and art style is the best so far compare to all the mobile MMORPG I played (yes I got to play the close beta). While playing it was fun seeing random people running around and me interacting with new people. It makes the world less lonely and that's what I like about MMORPG. Story wise, I think ToF did great compare to other mobile MMORPG but just don't expect the story to be as good as Genshin. MMORPG is a complete different genre anyway so I don't get why people so obsessed with proving which one is better despite it having different genre New note: The global server is out already so if ya'll curious just check it out and see if it fits your cup of tea
I will say that TOF just release globally and basing off the 2.0 patch coming up they are implementing more content and the game might get a graphical update, but overall I think that both games have their ups and downs. TOF won my support once they implemented mounts and customization of characters as well as letting you play the characters you roll so. I do see potential in TOF and I do recall genshin is getting a new character which I’ve been seeing ppl are hype about
I don’t mind ToF having slightly less quality in everything. It’s an MMO and that’s the selling point for me. Dungeons, World bosses, open world exploration, puzzles etc… it is cooler to do that with friends … also to meet new people ingame. Something which Genshin doesn’t really have / really limited. Also I like the Science Fiction Aspects in ToF. It’s not in a classical fantasy world but in a sci-fi-fantasy setting which I think is pretty interesting. I played Genshin a lot after release of the game (to AR 45 I think) and it was so fun. I am really looking forward to a similar experience with ToF.
@Zach Martin Blanes what he's saying is that genshin's combat system is incredibly monotone and limited, which is unfortunately unavoidable to some degree because a complex combat system isn't compatible with mobile devices. The only real way to remediate that is through coop endgame or pvp, which simply isn't there. I think that's what caused genshin to lose 40% of its playerbase over the past year
I've been invested on trying out TOF, it's not bad cuz more games= more fun, ofc I won't leave genshin cuz that game made me happy at most times. I'm also a fan of combat/customization games so it'll be fun!!

I think the big reason ToF is less smoother is because its a massive multiplayer game. You play with hundreds of people in one server while in Genshin its all singleplayer, and even if its multiplayer there is a 4p limit to not make it laggy.
Even if it's an online game If you don't see other players on the screen It won't render more than usual. and doesn't add any slowness to the animation at all.
tower of fantasy focuses more on the combat, open world and interaction while the animation is not that great compared to genshin it doesnt mean that its bad genshin been out for like what 2 years+ now and its been polished to hell so its unfair comparing the two as for the combat i prefer the ToF combat much more since the fast paced and the combo are just way more fun not to mention dashing, running and using charge attack doesnt use your stamina so you dont need to stop mid combat to regen your stamina as for genshin the overall effect is obviously better and we all could agree on that but on the combat side i really find it hard to enjoy the combat dont get me wrong the team combo is pretty fun but i just dont like how combat uses your stamina its just a pain in the ass and your stamina doesnt regen as fast in genshin so you ended up just stopping completely midfight to regen your stamina
I think it differs, now I get why people compared breath of the wild and Genshin because it’s understood that Genshin was highly inspired by Zelda but it’s a difference between tof and Genshin which is straight up plagiarism 🤣 🤣 it’s kinda funny tho lmao like a video game meme being taking serious Lmao
@@HystyleowOwn30 to be fair its hard to call genshin a botw clone after monstadt they've come a long way so maybe tower of fantasy will do the same thing later on

@@HanniPham_NewJeans i heard there's no elemental reaction in this game even though it has different element characters like genshin, so i guess it's already a minus point for a lot of people.
For those who are wondering why genshin has smoother animation and visuals are good they have 200 million budget that came from Honkai, while ToF only have 7 million considering the budget this game is already good it might even became better in future
@@Jinx07not a garbage gacha system, some endgame content, and no resin system are all it really needs I think, most people quit genshin already bc of those
@@Jinx07 They really don't need to do much to beat Genshin in terms of better player treatment. As the other person said, the garbage gacha system and resin are likely the main reasons most quit. Maybe a slightly better farming system too that isn't entirely stacked against you.
Im sorry but the situation is the other way around, is thanks to genshin is why Honkai have better things. Because Genshin is most popular around the world than Honkai, do not forget it.
Personally, I think there are 2 things that could make Genshin Impact completely surpassed Tower of Fantasy and that is: 1 - Character Customization. 2 - Change of Weapons while using the same Character.
tbh character customization for genshin is a bit off to the lore. altho i prefer that the twin could have new outfit, it would be a total havoc if we can customise aether/lumine.
@@batrisyiaatherna9598 Not bit off but completely destroys the entire plot 🤣,remember that both of them are from the another planet, not some amnesiac character(yes our character in ToF). Editing these sibling will make the whole native, natural game looks different
Even though both are from China, Genshin somehow gives me this authentic, genuine Japanese anime feeling that I feel are kind of lacking in Tower of Fantasy, it prolly due to the intricate, subtle but culturally significant Character Design of Genshin and It feels a bit more fluid and soulful too. ToF ain't half bad tho, just lacks soul.
Not all cell shaded games has to have extremely anime like styled characters, plus if you look at chinese tof there are new characters that (in my opinion) match the description- Linye, Ruby for example. Chinese tof looks way more exciting than the first versions, keep in mind these characters like Meryl were created a long time ago, more than a year from now on (i have followed this game for over a year and have noticed many changes). I must admit, there are still many things that should be improved, the fighting animations are fine itself but idles and walking/running do hurt me a bit lol, im sure they will improve the same way as mihoyo did

tbf the genshin animations are made to be model specific while the tower of fantasy attack animations are made in a way that it's usable by all the models. Animations made for specifically for a certain character models would definitely look better because the devs have more freedom to make it look more polished
also Genshin was created by a massive company which already had money from their other massively successful game honkai impact. ToF was literally made with 1/25th of Genshin's budget so i can look past the animations being " a little choppy"
@@evilyoholab7586 yeah there are general animation that character specific animations. Genshin has 4 body types 1)Female child, 2)Older female, 3)Male child and 4)Adult male. Some of the animations are shared amongst character with the same body type which fits pretty well. There are general animations like weapons that are shared between characters of different body types but you can see that alot of the mundane animations are also body type exclusive. This makes everything appear smoother bc they are made specifically for that body type. In ToF every character both custom made and pull characters(you can use characters as skins) can use every single weapon so alot of their animations are shared amongst different body types.
In my opinion, these are the things that I find better in ToF than Genshin : Character customisation Double jump Futuristic setting Vehicles/mounts Better gacha Any character can use any weapon The ability to show off your character/weapon/skin in the shared open world without having to join someone’s server
They have Double jump in APHO Honkai Impact 3 so bringing it on Genshin would be good but then they didn't made Genshin as action RPG cause APHO got like mid air fights as well, you can fight in air and its pretty cool while Genshin is more Element focused so I hope make a physical DPS like this in future
I thought the characters are knock off of Genshin but then I read they’re customizable to look like this and this is really sick! I’m just wondering if the lore is as good tho
Only the Mc is costumizable and I saw bunch of people saying that the lore is so damn boring that even tho they got into the beta, they dropped it bc it was too boring and had nothing that got them hooked. But I still have hopes :/

Idk man all these futuristic games just don't give the satisfaction that Genshin gives me. There is a sort of realism to Genshin that I just can't explain.
Depends on the lore and environment I suppose. Like with sci-fi... yeah, swords are cool but WHY? Simply... WHY? You're living in a high-tech era don't you have firearms that are obviously superior to mere melee? Not gonna complain, Metal Gear Rising is kinda futuristic but you mainly use a high-frequency blade for the entire game and only rarely do you ever use some kind of gun.
I've played both and here's what I've gotten Genshin is a playable piece of art, not saying it's a masterpiece cuz its far from that, games graphics and effects look cool TOF is an actual playable game with pvp and systems I'm still figuring at atm, and tbh I think tof might have even more detail than genshin simply cuz the npcs aren't all the same person.
Well tbh they are 2 different things, just as long as they don't blatantly copy assets it's okay. I'm also kinda annoyed that some of the movesets look exactly like Genshin but a bit choppy, but I'm also willing to give it a try
I’m AR 57 in Genshin and don’t have a lot to do in the game between updates. I’m sure a lot people feel this way and are looking for a game to fill the void
Imagine an MMORPG has the same graphic as Genshin RPG. Most players will lag. For starters theyre making it as low as possible yet decent so more players can try it out. Not all ppl have great specs of gadgets.

I honestly don't get why people compare these two games, one person said ToF is like Genshin then other people take this and share it to others too when they're not even in the same category, an MMORPG and a SingleplayerRPG. And some of the comparisons aren't even proper or fair.
IDK what else people compare but it's obvious in this video that the movesets are similar to Genshin, like you cannot just ignore that fact. You can still compare them and say they're similar without hating on the game right?

Let's see how many PPL thinks it is just character customization and not identical copying. The game is pretty different from Genshin,it is MMO game. And I like the fact that a character can use many types of weapon, for example,if you want crow’s attack move set with your customized character, you only need to pull his weapon. You have a main character with crow's attack pattern. That is pretty cool feature from ToF and I also like the fact that the pity don't reset in gacha,The pull is 80 and if you got SSR at 30 pulls, you only needs 50pulls to get another SSR.
Is there stuff like guaranteed after losing 50/50 in this game? And how is wish system in this game? Sorry if question is dumb. I am not much familiar with gacha games.
hard pity is 80, I think, even if you get a standard 5 star it wont reset, meaning you are guaranteed a limited banner character as long as you hit the pity
It is like the wish system like genshin, the difference is ToF has 80 pity and GI has 90 pity, but ToF don't reset the pity. For example,if you lose 50/50 against qiqi in pulling kazuha, you need to pull another 90 to guarantee kazuha,if you aren't lucky enough. It is like total 180 pulls for guaranteed 5 star.ToF is 70/30 or I don't remember, the chances of getting prefered SSR is 70% I think and losing is 30%,You can always get an SSR at 80 pulls, meaning even if you lose 30% against your SSR,at 60 pulls, you will get the character when you reach 80 pulls, only needs another 20.In Genshin,5* weapon are only in gacha right? In ToF,You can get the 6* weapon from bosses, not only gacha.I forget how much pity the weapon gacha had tho.
I really love Genshin but what I really needed from it was more multiplayer elements. Me and my gf played genshin together and finished the latest story but in all those time we played the game, I notice that we hardly interact with one another. Not just because of the lack of co-op elements but also because there was really ever no need to do so. Both of us became strong enough to handle our own gameplay and it was missing that spark to make you need to reach out to others to work together. The only interaction we ever had was comparing gacha luck but that didn't go well too. We ended up hiding our good rolls so that the other wont feel bad about having a bad one.
The only reason I was interested in GI when I heard about it (before release) it was because of the multiplayer element. I played for a bit, tried it, and got disappointed It's mostly a singleplayer game so I stopped. I still login once In a while, cause I'm not gonna deny It's a fun game, but not what I was looking for

No game is going to be the "Genshin killer" by trying to copy what Genshin does. If Genshin is ever going to receive any proper competition (which it probably won't because it is so far ahead of any other gacha game) It has to be a game that has the balls to try something different.
they are gatcha games with anime aesthetics but aside from that they're two completely different game. This game is more of a honkai impact+breath of the wild clone than a genshin one.
@@whydidntyoucomeforlesson genshin is popular bc they were the first to capitalize on the open world anime game market that was severely lacking. There were games that had the same aesthetic and there were games that had the same world feel but no game had both of these together and mihoyo took advantage of that void. It didn't create anything new but it rather mixed two existing concepts and made something everyone was hungry for.

Honest thought Tof actually looks nice, my circles of friends have been looking for anime mmo games and this is just perfect, i can't wait for launch day, their anime art style really got us hooked.
I dont think the two should be compared. At all. Genshin impact's charaters' movememnts are all motion captured with detail. Take Yun Jin for example, from her most minute movement to the her attacks/skill animations with reference to Chinese operaratic moves. And tower of fantansy simply looks animated. Some of the characters have noodle arms even. Hoyoverse is also telling a story with reference to diferent cultures, taking inspiration from old literatures, text and practices. So... Like i said. The two shouldnt be compared.
The two should ABSOLUTELY be compared, they're different games but they have elements that are very similar to one another, the animations for example look very similar to Genshin, if Genshin's devs were green and could barely animate to save their lives and they're generic and lacking in style and character. And the thing is, who's to say they can't do the same with ToF but with a sci-fi twist? Yes, these two games can ABSOLUTELY be compared and should be. At least in terms of qualities and features that are similar enough to warrant a comparison, be it the graphics or the gacha-system. The same thing you bring up here as to WHY the two can't be compared... can also be utilized in ToF and those two reasons alone aren't enough to completely warrant a game NOT getting a comparison. What SHOULDN'T be compared, are two VERY completely different games. For example, you CANNOT compare Arma 3 to Metal Gear Rising because the games are two COMPLETELY separate things in literally everything. Metal Gear Rising is a fast-paced hack and slash that doesn't take itself too seriously while Arma 3 is a slower-paced, longer ranged milsim type game that takes itself seriously. Completely incomparable, as literally everything about them is so drastically different from one another. Now games like Call Of Duty or Battlefield? You CAN compare the two because they're similar enough, at least in terms of mechanics and equipment. The games may not be exactly the same but there's something you can absolutely compare here, for example either of the game's gunplay and movement.
@@OrionDawn15 And most of the comparisons are wrong, because they are not counting with their funds. Let's say ToF had 10% (I believe this number is even more then the reality) of Genshin's budget, how bad the game they made from it? It's not even that worse, it can be compared to genshin, which means they made a much bigger success then Genshin and also, they are not that money hungry like Mihoyo, so that's why, they will never earn as much as Genshin and because of that, they would never beat them in graphics, but they are trying and they are better and better by the day, so in a few years, if they won't get a wrong turn, they shall has a chance to compete with Genshin in quality, but not in earnings.
@@moonlordhun5339 That is fair, ToF likely has a smaller budget than Genshin... but of course, I've seen smaller budget projects be them animation, a movie or a videogame and they came out great and well-loved. Sure, a bigger budget would help but skill and a passion for your craft helps out a lot too. And that is kinda the point of a comparison, it doesn't matter the funds, sure you can throw that out there to take it bit easy on them but if one does something better than the other then that's that. I am skeptical of ToF but I do hope it comes out good, I don't have it out for it or anything but what I've seen in some footage and some scandals I don't exactly trust the devs much, and considering I've never heard of them until now and don't know if they've worked on anything else before or what their reputation is then I can't say whether or not they're the money grubbing types.
@@OrionDawn15 I won't say, there is no better development team with less funds, but we cannot say that, everyone shall be the most talented in the programming section :D BUT! if they can develop their skills, I want to see, what they can reach! :D And yes, they are a completely new team with just a few members, so I have hope for them and it is on them, if they will live with it or if they will destroy it and lose their chance...
Clearly in the animation department they had to simplify it since you are playing an MMO being there’s a chance that 5-10+ people could be using different weapons and etc. which would have different animations and things to render
Genshin is one of my favorite games of all time, whereas ToF is something that has enough Genshin similarities to draw me in, while also having enough that is distinct and its own to keep me interested. If I can hop in and have a good time, it's a win / win. If I end up loving ToF, that's not gonna take away from Genshin. And if ToF doesn't work out for me for whatever reasons (I have disabilities and it could be no fault of the game's, potentially) I can still go back to Genshin and do Suumeru when that releases. I'm quite happy right now. That said, this video was hilarious. Especially comparing Zhongli and Zero's abilities. (The fire cube guy, hehe.) And King and Diluc are both pretty, but I've gotta say. Scythes are just more exotic and sexy than Claymores. Although, no one has grabbed me like Tartaglia did YET, but we will see.
Genshin will look better because he has money for it. Genshin had 200 million to develop the game, Tof has 7 million and can handle the game development like owning an endgame that does not exist in genshin or new vehicles and outfits for MC. Hotta is a studio with a maximum of 5-6 people, while hoyovers is a mass of people creating a pair of games at once. there is no need to compare a child to an adult. it is logical that one is older, it knows better, knows how to do something better and looks better. give TOF time to develop the game because genshin was shit in the beginning too
Also, they made Honkai before Genshin and for a long long while it was one of the most popular gacha games, ofc they also learned a lot from their first game but they probably also gained some money to start a new project. As someone who played a little bit of honkai when it was still developing I can clearly say that they improved a LOT. So yeah, let’s just, give ToF some time to learn and improve, I don’t expect anything special as of now but maybe they’ll listen to their players who knows
Hotta Studios is a subsidiary of perfect world.. which currently has 4500 employees. Idk the budget but they sure as hell have a lot of people working on the game.
@@yourlushi The team that made Honkai isnt the same as the team that made Genshin they are made by different studios, the only thing which got shared was the budget.
I'd like to think it's been inspired from because I did notice some differences in style and gameplay. Sure, some things looked very similar, but the creators may have intentionally done it as people who like genshin may also like their game. Idk, I just think we're too quick to judge
Well... ToF creators were so inspired by Hoyo games they even stole their textures and assets. They didnt even removed Mihoyo watermarks from it so they had to remove them.
@@Starixia_ Creating something similar, because you like it, is ok... Many great games were created thanks to inspiration from others. But literally stealing work of other developers is bad.

@@Thornfrey Yes, they made a mistake twice :D a single sword, what had the most basic look in games and a video, what was they following screen by screen and I presume they did it for practice or to see new technologies to use in theirs, but with mistake they posted out the followed video and then they immediately deleted the post, because of the mistake. They made far more progress then those 2 small mistakes. They are hearing out their community and they are improving rapidly. They need to get a chance, before anyone to judge a small company (with much smaller budget then genshin :P )
feel misleading and unfair to not include TOF vehicle and surfboard, high jump , ...Fanboi much ? if i gonna be honest, TOF exploration way more optimize and more fun .
misleading and fraud, all those moveset animation aren't originally from mihoyo anyway, bet you the average genshin fandoms don't know that, and just flock here defending their overlord
Imma try ToF for the heck of it but I don’t think it will replace Genshin, or any other existing game. Genshin just feels so smooth and has beautiful animation, and the lore and music are addicting. Well done to Mihoyo for giving us a free to play game (which I dolphined on lol) I won’t be letting of Genshin any time soon.
I think one thing that Genshin did that was really clever was to have regions have a theme of some sort. That way they could make character designs interesting and recognisable. You can tell what region a character is from by looking at their clothes. Whereas ToF is very broad and generic....we have robots and trenchcoats. And that image is going to get stale really quickly. In Genshin, they had a broad theme - for example Liyue ws influence by china - and they got to play around with a diverse range of designs. From tying in some chinese lore with genshin to having unique music suited for the areas. ToF really needs to be diverse. Because right now, it's just weapons you pull for. You can create your character and just put a weapon on them. And the characters you unlock, most aren't interesting enough to be used. I only see 2 of the characters in the overworld and the rest used by players are OCs.
I feel that should be the direction ToF should go in and develop it, as opposed to try to be similar to Genshin. There are many games that have the same theme throughout its entirety but they manage to pull it off well. And developing their own character would give it a much tigther RPG feel as opposed to playing and levelling multiple different characters that the game already has background of. If ToF tries to go in the same direction as Genshin, then it is undeniable that Genshin will still always be the better game in the end for many reasons
Lorewise, you are just gonna destroy it if you copy genshin in here. Because ToF is a steampunk,post-apocalypse world. Not some chill ass theme where no one cares about anything. There is virus and abberants(people that are already infected)roaming the world, people have their own towns and security systems
Me too! The story has been getting better since 2.6 plus the lore is getting heavier and easier each sec!! I realy want to see how it turns out, I want to know whether the theories of Paimon being god of time is true or not.
I don't know why my comment got deleted but that just proves what i said about mihoyo being insecure by hiring people to make such misleading videos about ToF. just don't forget to pre register your tof account folks!. let's play together on launch!
i just want to say thanks for gatekeeping tof from genshin fandoms, words can't express how much i hate those rabid fandoms in genshin and i certainly do not want them anywhere near ToF.

Keep in mind, the dev company here is the worst you can have. They punish players for dev mistakes, use cover companies so that they can keep their own record completely free of stains, have been known to not update the games they release for years and later pull the plug on them suddenly, not to mention they have been caught stealing assets and copying Genshin's reviews from the appstore and copy pasting it in their review section, after removing the word 'Genshin' from it.
@@sunkissedrhodonite I Believe that custom characters generally doesn't affect the cutscene. I mean,Sonic Forces exists lol Judging by the body models we have in genshin, they could've create the base for us to work with. Depending on how you made your traveler, the twin could have the same features...
Both have kinda have the same attack animation, and genshin have more fluidity. I would say i like how ToF is going with their game. I understand that Genshin has a more ancient and old pattern of gameplay and storyline, which hoyo tries to stick to it to not make the players feel off about the atmosphere. Hence the limit of things to do, although they do add some stuff thier that could fascinate you. In Tof on the other hand, goes with the futuristic openworld pattern and storyline. With this they have more things to add, even ancient ones if they do. Like Honkai impact for example. Thats why ToF have more stuff to do than genshin. Although i still love genshin, especially that they have wonderful storyline; animations, and backgrounds, and i pretty much get attach to the characters their. I do want to give TOF a try for some fresh gameplay. Its just my opinion guys^_^.

Tower of fantasy is full of tech while Genshin holds all including tech, dark stories, histories, desert, grassland, fantasies every thing and most region’s are based from the real world and also most of the stories in Genshin always have a dark sad background including Npcs, playable characters and also the Archons not only these the whole teyvat has a tragic story

Plus, Kaenri'ah was incredibly highly advanced, but they became to knowlegable, so they were also destroyed, hence the ruin machines everywhere.
its not fair to compare ToF with GI tbh as GI dont have physics and network traffic limitations like ToF, an MMO. so fluidity and satisfactory experience should not be expected much especially if you had only played Genshin in your whole life, but if you're also an average MMO enjoyer, ToF definitely felt like an MMO we've been waiting for decades.

We cant even talk about a competition here...this game not only cant be near genshin...and even without genshin existance this game will not succeed...

ToF has really fun options though as I've seen from Beta versions. If anything, this is a huge upgrade from Legend of Neverland. Since Genshin is so popular it's not surprising that other companies would learn from them. Have you seen the one where you're able to surf on water? That being said I'll probably be more used to Genshin since it's the game people copied? Also I think there was an option when you can double jump in the air in ToF, it's pretty cool!

It's sad how people talk about every other game copying Genshin while having some form of originality while no one talks about Genshin taking inspiration from the game that inspired them ... Double standards but am I not surprised
@Green Mosaic after playing Genshin I’d say that it isn’t a copy of Botw because the only things that are similar are the stamina and gliding but other than that it’s a different game. Tof on the other hand literally stole assets… playing Tof is weird when you keep noticing things from Genshin.
@@andyyang2360 I mean I've played Genshin, a bit of Legend of Neverland and TOF. To be honest, I feel that TOF reminds me a lot more of Honkai and Legend of Neverland. I'm not gonna ignore the fact that the game hardcore copied Genshin, but I'm also not gonna pretend that players only appreciated the game more BECAUSE of TOF. what if TOF / LON that are labelled the "genshin rip offs" never existed? I doubt the players would be as grateful as they should be seeing how they reviewed bombed Genshin until it dropped to 0.1 stars and now that shittier games appeared, we are just going to ignore the trouble the Hoyoverse team ALWAYS has to go through because of a bunch of ungrateful players? At this point in time I don't even care which game copied genshin anymore lmao, I mean Mobile legends copied League of Legends and we are all moving on from it while Genshin players are always stuck in this bubble of sniffling out whichever games reminds us of Genshin. If you haven't played Genshin you probably would just enjoy the game as it is. Rhythm games and MOBA games have copied each other and so I don't see why genshin is exempted. If you're a genuine people and not mhy white knight i suggest search up "Genshin vs Tower of fantasy", then " Genshin vs Nier" and " Genshin vs Devil may cry 5". those animation aren't originally mihoyo, fun fact do you know amber burst are one of the generic moveset animation for archery plays? most old MMO have it, before talking about originality Genshin itself isn't unique, it's filled with your average tropes characters and story in anime/manga, the lore isn't that special, your average weeb would instantly notice how much cliche the game is like any other isekai, but i don't expect most people to know that, afterall marketing and damage control is what Mihoyo does best
people are not stupid, they can search, they know immediately how fabricated the general perception on this video is, the anomaly on this video alone has, 2.5k comments and 450k views while there's other unbiased and not misleading "genshin vs tof" videos out there that didn't receive the same exposure XD. let the white knight waste their time.
Crazy thing is they both were being made at the same time. Just shows how heavily they both took from breath of the wild. Also genshin is for solo gamers who moan when they wipe their ass. Don't be upset, I just state facts 🤷🏾♂️
As far as I know and in my opinion, Genshin excels in Lore/story Animation and graphics Cliffhangers Polishness/fluidity Puzzles while Tof excels in Endgame contents (there is even a battle royal mode lol) Combat (3 weapons, each weapon contains different aerial, normal, charged, plunging attacks, skills, elements, resonance burst etc. for combos) Customizations Rewards (it is very generous while genshin will give you a headache for the sake of 2 primos ehem ravens) Plus you can't solo a boss in ToF while in genshin you can just one hit bosses using barbara lol. So thats why I will give difficulty to ToF (but still genshin's puzzles are harder lol) In the aspect of exploration I can't really tell But no sugar coating Tof needs to improve their game especially the story and the polishness of it. Genshin is still genshin but I hope ToF can atleast set a competition for the improvement of all and for the benefit of us.

The fact that people compare animations for two different games is pretty funny. Animations in Genshin are supposed to be polished because the main focus of the game is to collect characters. In ToF - collect weapons. It's the weapon that has the animation set, not the character. So it's logically fitting for ToF to have less detailed animations so they could suit any character, be that a Simulacra or your character. In other aspects the games are just so different that you can't compare them, like, at all.
Any genshin players will think about genshin when they see this. Just look at the gameplay, character design and movements, its almost basically the same.
Dont really care as long as they make a game where endgame isnt boring as hell. Only reason for me to dump genshit is the painfully boring and dull endgame.

Lastly the character animations are always different (appart from walking climbing or swimming which depend on the character model type) every character has different attack animations (eula dancing while swinging, ayaka gracefully but swiftly swinging her katana, yoimiya doing flips and crazy acrobatics while shooting her bow, kokomi floating like she's in water...)

For people saying Genshin animation better. I agree. Genshin feels so smooth to play on. But you guys gotta remember that ToF is MMORPG while Genshin is just RPG. I mean by this definition we can Call Genshin Impact *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Gacha*
Thats not a lot of differences, just saying
@@BrawlerEnoch the game have a lot more stuff trust

I still login once In a while, cause I'm not gonna deny It's a fun game, but not what I was looking for
becaue GI coop is an afterthought and it will never be expanded upon because its already developed this way
that is 1 of the downside of genshin sadly
My problem was having to get to Rank 15 just to do co-op. Even then my brother and friends weren’t interested in it so I stopped playing.

I agree, that’s why Genshin’s so popular. Even though they say it was inspired by botw, Genshin just looks original and unique from other games.
Finally, a sensible comment.
Except that genshin copy botw. Well, you can copy a game and do it bad, or you can copy a game and make it better. It's more like ToF has no heart and budget in this.
I kinda think this game is ok because it is just releasing so there is a high chance developers will make changes to make it seem more original to those comparing it to genshin and more detail ed and exciting

And yes, they are a completely new team with just a few members, so I have hope for them and it is on them, if they will live with it or if they will destroy it and lose their chance...
@@moonlordhun5339 Well in that case, I suppose I can spare them the benefit of the doubt at the very least, I *do* hope this comes out good.
Hotta is a studio with a maximum of 5-6 people, while hoyovers is a mass of people creating a pair of games at once. there is no need to compare a child to an adult. it is logical that one is older, it knows better, knows how to do something better and looks better. give TOF time to develop the game because genshin was shit in the beginning too
This a comment im looking for.
Agreed
@@Thornfrey where in the video? I mean some parts, yeah are stolen, but game might be trying to be good, just going the wrong way about it

@@麻吉-h5b not just waifu hasbando too
so how's the test?
The main reason I got into genshin is the lore
It's wayy too good
Me to and the characters too the characters are very unique
Exactly, they never fail me with the stories. It makes me more determined than ever to see it through to the end.
Me too! The story has been getting better since 2.6 plus the lore is getting heavier and easier each sec!! I realy want to see how it turns out, I want to know whether the theories of Paimon being god of time is true or not.
And also the background music too
Hey I've been her since the beginning, might as well see it through until the end

When I first started genshin, I was severely disappointed we couldn't make our own character. I'm glad you can in TOF

If anything, genshin fans need to chill. Seriously as the game gets better the fandom gets worse lol so even if Genshin is a good game the fandom is annoying and I would rather play TOF where the fandom is a lot chiller and I'm glad to see some genshin players giving it a chance

It's really hard to compare and declare games a copy since most of the concepts are already there, it's like comparing call of duty to literally any fps games, they copy the concepts and change some elements in the game.
Both games have their ups and downs but in the end, it all comes down to which you like the most personally.
How do you do those crazy spike down jumps in genshin? At 0:20
Uh is that the lowest graphic of Tower fantasy or highest?
That's definitely not the highest setting on ToF, plenty of other videos showcasing what max graphics on ToF looks like
Highest on genshin, lowest on Tower, you know, to make a missleading video.

“They copied my whole fucking flow, word for word, bar for bar.” - Mihoyo Executive
DMC looking at ayato,xinqiu,ayaka,keqing,and heizou
@@truck-kun8022 LOl yeah who am i kidding, your average genshin fandom's double digit IQ wouldn't know any other games anyway
Crazy thing is they both were being made at the same time. Just shows how heavily they both took from breath of the wild. Also genshin is for solo gamers who moan when they wipe their ass. Don't be upset, I just state facts 🤷🏾♂️
As far as I know and in my opinion,
Genshin excels in
Lore/story
Animation and graphics
Cliffhangers
Polishness/fluidity
Puzzles
while Tof excels in
Endgame contents (there is even a battle royal mode lol)
Combat (3 weapons, each weapon contains different aerial, normal, charged, plunging attacks, skills, elements, resonance burst etc. for combos)
Customizations
Rewards (it is very generous while genshin will give you a headache for the sake of 2 primos ehem ravens)
Plus you can't solo a boss in ToF while in genshin you can just one hit bosses using barbara lol. So thats why I will give difficulty to ToF (but still genshin's puzzles are harder lol)
In the aspect of exploration I can't really tell
But no sugar coating Tof needs to improve their game especially the story and the polishness of it. Genshin is still genshin but I hope ToF can atleast set a competition for the improvement of all and for the benefit of us.
The story don't matter for this type of game when it's an mmo, can't expect a FF type of story level

Man i played them both, once resin gone, then adventuring in ToF feels so much alive with people around.. Both good game in their own style.. Hype for their release, still a razor main till ToF lmao
so its coop, for the whole thing or is there a coop mode switching
There is like channel, which you can switch every 30 minute.. Some of them clearly empty and feels like single player, and some of them really are crowded.. So it's a preference.. But the game is full online rather with or without people
and what content is it have?
I mean it's mmorpg ofc it would be
@@madedayanandppribadi4711 you have to find it yourself buddy.
Wuthering waves sound more promising but I’m eagerly wanting to try ToF since it has character customization
Ads say hello

@@soham4741 I play the china sever many Chinese players complain about the game so 🤷♀️
@@soham4741I too am getting kinda bored with genshin rn but Sumeru update will make a big impact.
Specially with its gorgeous open world. Even better than Inazuma imo
@@soham4741
Genshin is now boring cuz obviously it's lacking of content
But that's probably just until the end of the month cuz we r getting sumeru
The game itself isn't boring
Think of it as a jrpg with no endgame yet because we aren’t at the end of the gamez
GI's animation is still the best. Full of details considering the law of physics. Let's just hope that one day Tower Of Fantasy will also achieve that kind of perfection.
